Resolved Question: are AOL breaching my contract.....?

I signed up about 4 years ago for a 1mb unlimited broadband connection with AOL. today in the mail i receive a letter from aol stating that because I have downloaded over 60gb of mp3's, movies etc i am subject to speed restrictions due to their "Fair use policy" This to me seems like a breach of contract, seeing as it is not actually an "umlimited" account. it is unlimited in the way that you can keep downloading, but if they're restricting your speed because of the ammount you download that can't be unlimited, because the limit is effecting my broadband speeds. if not legally a breach of contract what else can i do about this besides ending my registration, which is a last resort but the only one to me it seems. please don't reply to this question stating "aol are crap" because you are preaching to the choir. thanks.  more

Resolved Question: Is Telewest Broadband now Virgin Broadband?

Had Telewest (256kbps 600/700mb bandwidth) for about 2 years, now on the telewest website it goes to virgin media, the new telewest deal with virgin. Also yesterday I ran an online scan to test internet speed & it said that now the connection is 1mb max (more than 256kbps which was what the connection was when we had it installed 2 years ago). So is Telewest Broadband now Virgin Broadband? If so then is it unlimited bandwidth as all their internet packages are? We have the TV/Phone/Broadband complete Telewest Package incase it makes any difference.  more
