Okay so i'm trying to connect my ps3 online using a crossover cable with my laptop. I have a sprint usb broadband modem, (because we DO NOT have high speed available where we live) and when i try connecting on the ps3 it says ip address succeeded and internet connection failed or something like that and gives that 80710102 DNS error the things ive done so far are: 1. enabled ics on my internet connection 2. put in the static ip for the PS3 as 1 value higher than on laptop. 3. tried dns provided by my isp and alot of other dns 4. tried put in with and with out proxy provided by my isp 5. disabled all firewall on my pc 6. tried resetting cp & ps3 7. clicked advanced settings in ics and clicked the DNS box and remember the internet source is a usb mobile broadband, and NOT hooked to a router or anything. so please help, im not sure what else to do. more

I just got my xbox 360 and I really want to play on xbox live. For my internet connection I use a Sprint Mobile Broadband card. Ive have sprint broadband for almost a month. Before the contract started the deal was I get 5gb of download+upload. On the sprint website it tells me how much data ive moved over the last couple weeks. Now right beside the usage thing, it says 3,710,000 KB out of "unlimited". Is this implying that they are giving me unlimited amount of data to use? Ive talked to my friend who doesn't know much about networking. I hooked his network up for him awhile back and he has the same plan. He uses his broadband for heavy xbox live down loads. I know for sure he would have already gone past the 5gb limit, and yet he said he was never over charged. I have a Sprint Sanyo Katana DLX and I recently just bought a data cable for it, but when I plug in the phone to the computer it doesn't know the USB is plugged in. I almost got it to work once and it said, "Connection Failed". I tried downloading the Sprint Mobile Broadband (Didn't work.) Then I tried BitPim, but it doesn't support Sanyo Katana DLX (SCP 8500) I have a Windows XP OS if that helps, and my phone also contains an SD Micro Chip. All I want to do is access my phones music and pictures, but I do not have a card reader for the SD Micro Chip, so finding out how to get the USB to work would be much appreciated! Thank you. more

My mom just bought the Compass 597 Sprint Mobile USB Modem for our home computer and we can't get a signal over 40%, it's always at 0%, 10%, or 20%...it always says 'very weak signal'. It's constantly slowing down and kicking me off completely. I can't even try to watch a video. Why is the connection so terrible? I've heard it can be due to lots of people being on at once, but I don't want to not be able to use the internet only on off peak hours. What can I do to speed it up? more

I am considering getting one of these (WRT54G3G-VN) and i have seen mixed reviews online that the verizon model does not see the pc 5750 card but the Sprint model does. Does anyone have this unit and use it with the verizon card and does it work well? I want to plug in about 2 or 3 puters to be able to be online at the same time. So I was just wondering if there's any way my cell phone company could send him a log of what I do on the computer/internet, or if he really can read my IM chats. (I used MSN.) Resolved Question: How do I set up a guest user account on my laptop with internet connection?

I have internet using a Sprint Broadband card. I recently decided to change my settings where I have to put in a password to get to my documents and also put a guest user account on my computer so if anyone needed to use it, they would not have access to my files. The only problem is that when I used the guest account for my son to play video games on there when I clicked on the Sprint Mobile Broadband ICON it said "Insert your card". It was in and of course I kept trying so I went back to My Account and it was working just fine. I've looked at the user accounts menu on the control panel but I can't figure out how to put the internet capability on my Guest User Account which is why I created it in the first place. Our internet connection is with a sprint mobile broadband the sierra wireless aircard 595u. In order for us to network using this router we purchased a Cradlepoint CTR-500 router. We connected the LAN out cable into the WAN In on a seperate Dynex router which has all the computers connected to it. We have to use this seperate router because the Cradlepoint router only has one output and we need 3 outputs and wifi. The problem is trying to set up opendns with everything. I feel like i've tried everything, what should I do? I also have a switch if you think I should disconnect the router and connect a 4 port switch to the cradlepoint router so I could connect all three computers. What should I do? Thanks!! more

Is there a program I can download and run and make my Broadband Card faster? It is running slow, and it has 2 bars. Well, I used to have a Verizon card, but it didn't get a signal where I live. Does T-mobile offer mobile broadband access for everywhere on the go as does sprint and verizon in the USA? I've only found the page in the UK, not in the USA.... p.s I'm not talking about Wi-Fi at airports where you pay per minute/hour hosted by t-mobile, but rather national broadband access....do they offer in the USA? If not, what is the next provider with the most towers/coverage? P.S, I'm fine with limited bandwidth, but unlimited data transfer would be desirable! more
