Two men allege molestation in lawsuit against former priest, Catholic ...

John Doe B.B. of Kansas, 52, contends that the Rev. Thomas Reardon sexually abused him in 1968 in the St. Elizabeth rectory in Kansas City after his mother asked the priest to explain "the facts of life" to the 12-year-old boy.

John Doe M.D., 46, of Missouri and his wife contend that Reardon, now 65, abused him at St. Gabriel's parish in Kansas City when Doe was in the fifth to eighth grades.

According to the lawsuits, Reardon kept the boys quiet by persuading them that the acts were a normal part of life or even beneficial.

Reardon, who has 14 other abuse-related lawsuits pending against him in Jackson County, has denied ever abusing children. He declined to comment Thursday. His attorney did not return phone calls.

The lawsuits allege that the diocese was at fault in part for negligent supervision, including covering up Reardon's actions for years.

He said that the new high-capacity SDH (synchronous digitalised hierarchy) transmission ring would provide much-needed data transmission capacity for businesses nationwide.

Bulldogs at full strength

Hafey stressed that all positions on the team are up for grabs, hinting in-team competition brings out the best in his squad.

“There is no pressure on these kids to win," he said. “The pressure is on them to prove during practice that they deserve to play."

Defensive coordinator Lance Scranton said the return of linebackers Travis Daniels and Jordan Wilson would bolster the defensive unit.

“That will help us tremendously," he said. “We are looking forward to the leadership they bring to the field."

Delta is a big, power-based team that will run right at the Bulldog defense.

“We will have to be in the right spots at the right times," Scranton said. “We aren't changing things up; we are just polishing up what we have in place already.

Saguaro Lake ranch showcases nature

The Saguaro Lake Ranch Resort is fewer than three dozen miles from downtown Phoenix, as the crow flies. Yet it feels like another world. Craggy cliffs soar hundreds of feet into the sky. Lining the Salt River is a ribbon of riparian greenery where rustic casitas are scattered around a spacious lawn.

"Everybody who comes out here says the same thing: 'I never knew this existed,' " says Casey Thompson, an intern at the ranch, who is studying commercial recreation at Central Michigan University. "I'd never seen anything like it. You're driving out here and it's desert, desert, desert. Then you drop down into all this," he says, a sweep of his arm taking in the river and trees and grass.
Built for the dam The resort began in 1927 as a camp for workers on the Stewart Mountain Dam.
