My husband has a macbook pro connected wirelessly to the same hub and it's fine. So, my rather long-winded question is - do i have to buy a better wireless USB adaptor, an N one as mine at the moment is a G one? I have BSNL's Home 750 Unlimited plan and the total bandwidth is 256 kbps. Ever since I got the connection, I have realized that my downloading speed has never gone beyond 30 kbps (not only torrents files but files from Rapidshare and other sites). Is this normal or am I supposed to get more speed than this? I felt that the downloading speed was limited and set to this rate. When I checked with their Broadband section, they said that the speed I am getting is OK based on a calculation of 30x8 (that means I am getting about 240 kbps total bandwidth). Does anything else affect the download speed rate? Any users or experts have anything to say? I have decided to switch plan because of this. moreResolved Question: Is Orange broadband better than BT Total Broadband?

So I had a virus which spreaded onto my MSN account, which was sending all my contacts a link to catch the same virus (luckily I was quick enouh to sin on for a few seconds to tell eveyone not to click it, but I chaned my password instantly so that works fine now). My computer was having a total screw up. So I was almost possitive I had a virus. I did a scan on Norton 360 and it said Total Threats: 1, and I clicked ''FIX'', then I did the scan again, it said Total Threats: 1, but under that it said Threats Fixed: 1. I'm still baffled about that now. Then my awesome friend :P told me to delete my cookies and browing history on IE and Mozilla, so I did, I stil had an appearent threat. I resetted the laptop, still had the same result... But I noticed something odd. My T-Mobile Broadband wireless connection has been disconnection persitantely or every half an hour at the most... But since I've cleared my cookies and things, it hasn't? I'm possitive that thing from MSN gave me a virus yesterday... But what's up with my Internet disconnecting all the time, then I try my best to fix my obvious problem, and the Internet connector becomes fixed too? I have this XML based slide show for Flash that works fairly well (based on the XML slideshow tutorial on the site). The slide show currently preloads the images between the slides. It works pretty well on a broadband connection since the load time doesn't seem to get in the way of viewing the pictures. A while ago i was getting around 6mbps on BT Total Broadband (option 3). Then the cable broke that connects the house to the telegraph pole, so i got an engineer out to fix it. It has worked flawlessly now since the guy came but now i never get above 3.5 mbps. When i did the BT Speed tester, it said that my ip profile was set at 3000kbps. Why isnt it being increased? The test also stated that i only live around 1100 metres from the exchange and therefore i think i should get a better speed (another test said i should get up to 7mbps).i cant use the i-plate thingy because i have a really old phone socket. moreVoting Question: Why has my internet speed gone from peaking at 6.5, now to 2.5 all of a sudden?

I am a 32 year old single man involved with a 38 year old divorced woman. She has been dumped by every boyfriend in her past history. She is an alcoholic who drinks a lot. She got fired from her job. Begged me for money saying house will be foreclosed and electricity would be shut down. So I paid her bills for over a month and she made no effort to find job, but just kept intoxicating herself in alcohol. Meanwhile she sleeps like 14 to 16 hours a day. I never get enough to spend with her. When i wake up and i call her saying i plan to meet her, she says its her bedtime. Then i keep waiting all day long when she will wake up but she WON'T. Finally when i'm about to hit the bed and ask her when she woke up, she says its again her bedtime. Meanwhile i notice she goes to online chatrooms a lot, and spends time with total strangers MORE than spending time with me who is real and pays her bills. She has no appreciation of me. She says I am her world, but she does kinky things in online chatrooms with other men and a beer bottle on the table, while i work my as off trying to pay her bills on top of mine. She sends me text messages teasing me about my financial hardships saying stuff like, " sh*t i still didn't search job today, shame shame" Guess what? I will stop paying her bills and she will hit the road. Maybe that will teach her a lesson to show some respect and appreciation for me. That online chat she does is because of my own money. Best answer 10 points!?
Hey guys. So today i got an HP dv7 for $900 ($960) with tax from walmart. I fell in love with it for all the 2 hours i used it, and even installed call of duty and it played amazingly and smoothly. Here are the computers specs. HP dv7 - $900 # AMD Turion II Ultra dual-core processor M600 Offers 2.4GHz speed, 3.6GT/s, and a 2MB L2 cache for enhanced performance and battery life # 4GB DDR2 system memory Enough memory to handle today's most memory-hungry applications # 640GB SATA hard drive, 7200 rpm Stores up to 181,000 photos, or up to 158,000 songs, or up to 76 hours of HD video and more # 17.3" diagonal HD+ LED BrightView display. Browse the Web and watch movies with native support for high-definition content ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 with up to 2815MB total available graphics memory, 1024MB dedicated # Blu-ray Disc Optical Drive Play high-definition Blu-ray Discs, or play and create CDs and DVDs in multiple formats # Wireless Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet, Connect to a broadband modem (cable or DSL) wirelessly or using the wired 10/100Mbps Ethernet port. You can also wirelessly connect to a WiFi signal/hotspot with built-in 802.11 b/g/n Unfortunately, soon after i found a better deal (i think) for almost $300 cheaper. Here is this deal. Sony VAIO VGN-FW510 - $650 # Intel® Core™2 Duo mobile processor T6600 Features 2 processing cores, 800MHz frontside bus, 2MB L2 cache and 2.2GHz processor speed per core. # 2 high-performance processing cores To run multiple demanding applications simultaneously without hesitation. # 4GB PC2-6400 DDR2 memory For multitasking power, expandable to 8GB. # Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support Records up to 8.5GB of data or 4 hours of video using compatible DVD+R DL media. Also supports DVD-RAM. # 16.4" LCD widescreen display With 1600 x 900 resolution brings life to your movies and games. # 500GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 rpm) Offers spacious storage and fast read/write times. # ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics Features 2287MB total available graphics memory. HDMI input for connecting to an HDTV. Dolby Sound Room audio. As you can see, the price is MUCH cheaper. So here are my questions: 1) Which computer is better for gaming. (lets say money is not an issue, just by specs) 2) Which computer is the better value? 3) How well will i be able to game on the SONY? (call of duty, far cry, bioshock, etc..) 4) Is Sony a dependable brand? 5) Is the screen Glossy(like the HP) or Matte? I LOVED the glossy HP screen 6) If you have seen any other gaming laptop deals, wanna share some love? =] 7) How much better are intel processors than AMD? ( i was a little skeptical of the AMD in the HP but it gamed perfectly.) 10 points if you answer my question thoroughly, thanks a lot! moreVoting Question: Need some gaming laptop advice.
