Hello, I am looking for a web hosting provider to host my web site, and also to provide me with a domain name. My web site will only have about 3 or 4 page and will only be about 1MB in total, therefore I only really need a basic package. It will have no programming or server code, it will only have basic html and css. I have look at various web sites, and found that 1and1 is very cheap but I have read very bad reviews about it. It is only £1.99 a month for the basic package, which doesn't go up after a certain amount of years which is good, and a .co.uk domain name is £2.49 a year for 1st year and £2.99 a year after that. I have also had a look at uk-cheapest which has about the same sort of package but costs slightly less at £1.59 a month and a .co.uk domain name is £2.79 a year. They seem to have slightly better reviews but again, not great. I would really appreciate any input and your thoughts and expereinces on these companies or any other companies you would recommend. And just to remind you, I only really want to spend about £2.00 a month. Many thanks. more

I need a software program that lets me edit an existing website easily. I have Adobe Contribute CS3 on my XP machine,and I want something similar, but maybe more flexible. And cheaper (or free) would be nice. I've downloaded free trials of several programs, and all of them want me to make a new page and then send it to a hosting provider. I want to put in the URL and FTP information for my site and have a program let me edit the existing pages. WYSIWYG is required, but if there's an inbuilt HTML editor that would be nice. I would also like to be able to integrate music and video, which Contribute CS3 does not let me do. Any help would be appreciated. I have read many shared web hosting reviews and in fact asked a question a few days agon on Yahoo answers however I believe I closed the question by mistake. I am looking for reliablity, EXPECIALLY good customer support, and advanced features. As I am IT pro, I am looking for a reliable business hosting for a client. Customer support must be great. Tons of features should be available. PHP based. What I'm looking at here is not cheap but a value for money option. Cheap of course would be better but don't want to compromise. I'm interested in making a website with my own domain name. I have hardly any web page making skills yet but I think I could learn quickly. I'm not sure how to start off the "getting a website" process though and I'd rather not get a free website from angelfire or anything like that. My requirements for web hosting are easily met. Two digit figure bandwidth/storage are probably fine. Option 2 is getting a more expensive plan like webhostingpad.com but getting a domain name forever and being able to switch hosting after a year or so. First year costs nearly $60. Questions: - Am i mistaken about anything I've said, have i been misled - If my needs are practically met by any service provider, what is my best option?
