Hi All, I have a blog on Wordpress with about 400 posts thus far. I have it through GoDaddy on their shared hosting. It's insanely slow. I've already installed WP Super Cache and it helps a little, but I get around 3,000 visits a day. GoDaddy recommended I upgrade to Dedicated hosting, but then I'd have to manually configure everything in terms of my hosting, security, etc. I'm looking for a very fast Wordpress host that manages everything for me...I don't really care if it costs double what I'm paying now, but I don't want to have to worry about the backend or anything...I just want to write and post and have the page load in less than 20 seconds. I have many friends that play StarCraft (Not SC II), and I like to host many StarCraft LAN parties at my house. When we LAN, we usually connect about 5/6 total computers to my Linksys router. The game is usually hosted on one of the laptops or computers. This creates some lag because the computer is playing too. The highest end machine in the house is mine, and the specs are below. Is there any chance that I can make this computer be a dedicated server so there is no lag? It's also connected to the router via Cat5e cable. All computers in this LAN use StarCraft v1.16.16, the latest version. Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 (2.66 GHz) 4GB OCZ DDR2-800 RAM NVIDIA EVGA GTS 250 (1 GB RAM) 2X 250 GB Seagate HDD (SATA-II) ASUS P5B-VM SE Ultra LS600 600W power supply (32A on +12V rail) and it's fittied with SC1 v1.16.16. The programmer must identify that a client has a need for a session, create the session and assign the client a session. • Concurrency issues – when two clients access the site simultaneously, each requiring a new session, it is necessary to make sure that the session creation process will still function correctly. • Session termination and timeout – what triggers a session termination? How are the resources of the terminated session recycled? What happens if the client tries to access the site when the termination process is taking place? What is the performance penalty? What happens in a multi-server site if a client accesses a first server (and establishes a session with it) and then is directed (by a load balancer) to a second server? Security-wise, the following considerations must be made: • It should never be possible for one client to be able to predict the token another client received, or is in the process of receiving, or will receive. I am running a dedicated server for World of Warcraft, and I have never been able to make it public. I have all my correct ports forwarded - And I did use a port checker. I temporarily disabled my firewalls even when I asked my friends to try to join. I am using a dyndns updater and it all says "Good" so i do not understand what I could possibly be doing wrong. I've had multiple people view my screen and are shocked because they simply cannot find WHY no one can connect. Could it be my modem? Could my ISP be blocking that type of hosting?
