Domain Questions asked

Open Question: How do you change an IP address when it is locked by group policy?

I'm an admin at a small company that uses static IP addresses and has a group policy blocking users from changing their IPs. I have a user that is hard coded for one location at another location and is trying to log in, but can't get connected to the network. He can log in with his domain user/pass, but that is because it is cached. He never let us know he was going to that location, so we didn't have a chance to give him temp admin rights to change the IP. Is there any kind of workaround for this? The location he is at is on a different subnet, so there's no connectivity at all. more

Open Question: Help! I don't know what virus/es has latched on my computer, could you help me identify and cure it?

1. removed Folder Options in the toolbar 2. hides my folders and creates .exe files in their place (behavior of a recycler virus) 3. created / changed passwords of my user accounts (even the administrator) so I cannot login. 4. it created a rogue csrss.exe which launches on startup, even during safe mode, so that the virus activates even on safe mode and cannot be removed. When the process is running, it closes down regedit so I cannot alter the registry. I could kill the process, but I could not delete its source file because it is a hidden file. 5. Activates changepasswordkeroberos (not sure about this one) 6. the following processes comes up occasionally: net.exe, net1.exe, msha.exe, domain.exe, and of course the rogue csrss.exe Help in identifying and removing this would be appreciated! more

Open Question: Are there better places for a home buyer to find a Melbourne apartement other than?

..Domain.com.au and realestate.com.au I find it rare to find south facing CBD apartment. There's lots of west facing apartment ads that say "ooh ooh buyer, look at the view of the Docklands", but I'm not stupid. Having the sun in my eyes in the afternoon doesn't sound worth it. I'm under the impression that the best real estate doesn't even make it to the main stream newspapers or web sites. That the best ones are swooped off the plan or agents don't need to advertise because they already have a buyer waiting. Would that be correct? Open Question: Need help publishing website?

Hello, I have a huge website problem. I made a website on my domain a year ago in nvu. Today I created a new website in dreamweaver that I want to replace with the old one made in nvu. The problem is that when I tried to publish the new website, this happened: 1. The old website showed up, and would not be replaced. 2. Apparently I did something stupid, I deleted some files attached under "local files" in dreamweaver becuase it was so manu useless files there. So the result of this was a website with some unknown links, really not the website I made earlier, and that are in the window on dreamweaver. The website is only suppose to be one page. I tried to fix the problem by manage a new site in dreamweaver and give the same info from this hosting, but now I get this message:The file does not exist or there could be a permission problem. I dont get this! All I want is to publish my newly made website on this domain. How can I do this? Any help appreciated, Iselin more
