Register Domain Names Cheap Questions asked
Resolved Question: What is the cheapest way to register a domain name and set it up for mirroring?
I want the domain to redirect to a different site. moreResolved Question: where can i find cheap domain names?
I want to register a domain name, but I want a cheap place to buy it from. Can anyone beat $7.45 per year on cheapdomainseller.com? moreResolved Question: i want to get a domain name for my website? best company to register it?
i all ready have a website with its own cheap domain name . now its time to get a domain name. but i am not sure what company to order it from?? i hear go daddy ? but any suggestions ? moreVoting Question: I have been a victim of online fraud. I need some serious advice....?
I'll try and keep this as brief as possible: In September 2009, on a discussion forum, I saw an advertisement for an Apple IPhone 3GS which was being sold for a very reasonable price of $100. This person who was selling it mentioned the company's name and address (he was a supposed General Manager of) in this advertisement. I made a stupid mistake of thinking I could buy a really cheap IPhone so I emailed this guy. His email ends with the domain '.cn' which I think might be a Chinese domain. This person replied and said the company he works for sells cheap electronics at discounted prices and upon request he provided the company name and address. I looked up the address and it's a company registered in Birmingham, England (UK). Basically I asked him a lot of questions and he kept putting my mind at ease and I didn't even pay attention to his email domain at that time. He mentioned that he would only take the payment via Western Union and I was reluctant at first but agreed as I knew the IPhone 3GS was retailing for a whole lot more elsewhere than the price he was offering. I made the payment and he collected it, after a while he emailed me and said that his warehouse manager had mispackaged 3 different phones and sent them for delivery to me so his boss has immediately stopped the delivery.... and now he was demanding that I pay more money for the redelivery. Basically we were emailing each other back and forth after this incident and he kept making excuses after excuses. I had my doubts about this deal and they came true unfortunately for me. It sounded to good to be true! I have made a really stupid mistake in believing this guy and would like you guys to help me If possible. I would like to know can the Police in the UK help me reclaim my money or who else can I approach as obviously this guy with a domain like .cn isn't based in England so the Police in England won't be able to do much with International fraud? P.S. As evidence I have kept all of the emails + screenshots of the advertisement he had put up (which he later removed!) Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much! moreResolved Question: Best website hosting service?
To be more specific, best would mean, more bang for my buck. I'm willing to pay a couple of nominal fees for space and domain name. I'm currently registered with a website who is offering to eliminate pop-ups for $10 a year and a free 50MB of space. After that I can upgrade to a nominal monthly sliding subcription. I am hosting text and jpg's for the most part, but also a few DVI, and would like to offer a database of streaming links. Any suggestions? Cheap domain catcher's? moreResolved Question: Getting started with a website, from the ground up?
I want to set up a website. I want to be able to post text and pictures, and that's pretty much it. The problem is, I have no idea where to begin. I think I need to register a domain name or two, but I don't know. Do I only need to register one domain name, or is it beneficial to get more and have them all directed to my url I want? (I don't even know if I'm saying that right) Also, I think once I have a domain name, I need web space? I think, I have no idea how any of this works, and the nerds at work keep saying they are going to help me but never do, so if you are good with computers please lemme know what I need to do! Any advice would be great. The cheaper the better, but I don't want any limits on the content I can post (not adult though, yuck) and I want it to be reliable. Thanks in advance! :DSorry I had no idea what category to put this under, it initially came up with home and garden so I had to change it. moreResolved Question: Where can I bulk register domain names for the cheapest? Like If I got my domain name through my host... it's still registered right? how do I prove that it's mine to the... registration... guys? (Worried about these small but cheap hosts) If they can charge yearly fees for a domain and they go under... then is it mine free and clear (Like it should be in the first place?)Excellent... I already have a registered domain name. moreVoting Question: What is a catchy domain name to pick for Google's blogger.com?
I recently registered on blogger.com. I need advice on what website domain name I should come up with. My blog is not yet set up, but Google says that I can choose a domain name for $10.00 per year. This is waaaaay cheaper than my last web hosting service (through my internet company) that was $19.00 a month. What a rip off that was compared to blogger (which is free if you keep the " *dot* blogspot " in the domain title. My blog will have to do with neurological or mental disabilities and tic disorders (Tourette Syndrome, Autism, Schizophrenia, Parkinson's Disease, etc., etc., etc.). It is for raising disability awareness and for having information that people can utilize for online resources. I have a few questions that I will list so it is easier to read for you all: (1) Can you help me think of a catchy domain name title? (2) Where do all these other blogs get the associated press pics of information and stories? I was told flickr and so on, but I'm not sure. (3) Is it legal to use those stories in case some are copyrighted? (referring to the gossip ones)--> not that I wanna have that type of blog though. (4) And the last question I can think of is how can I get my blogger.com blog noticed (since the net is so saturated these days?) Everyone keeps saying SEO efforts, but I don't know how to do this with blogger.com or really how SEO works for blogs like that. Anyways, thanks for the help. Sorry for the long info. -A moreResolved Question: Where can I register cheap domain names?

I have a domain name I want to register. The most popular ones eg. .com, .net and .co.uk are already taken but .uk.net is available for £5.98 for 2 years and .org.uk is available for £59.98 for 2 years. Even though these names are not .co.uk or .com are they still good ones to register. It would be for a business but I think .org is still OK for that. Thanks moreResolved Question: Could someone who speaks Englisg as their first language tell me if this text needs to be edited? Thx?
Important Tips: 1- As you're registering your name, you will be presented with the option of adding Privacy to your domain registration. A private domain registration will keep your information (name, email address, etc.) out of the global Internet database, and will prevent a lot of spam from reaching your email box. It is highly recommended you select this option. 2- Avoid web hosts offering free domain. Try to register the name yourself, so that you can be sure that you are registered as the owner. If your web host places itself as the owner, they can always decide to not let you change your web hosting service. Especially if you are not happy with their hosting service it can be catastrophic! So don’t accept any free domain name and pay for it. 3- Don’t trust any cheap service. Some registrars are cheating and misleading their customers. For example if the price of a domain name is $10 /year, they offer it $2 for first year. But next years they charge $35 to renew the domain name! On the other hand, many of cheap services don’t allow you to have full control on your domain name. If you are looking for a safe and cheap service that works for you, GoldPuma.com is a reliable website to register your desired domain name. Their service is one of the lowest cost services on the web which is really full-featured and easy-to-use. They offer free extras with every domain name and you can check out their hot prices by going there. moreResolved Question: Hi What is the difference between Web-hosting and buying your own domain and host yourself?
I have checked on the internet. For Web-hosting, it gives you a domain name but the prices are too high like $ 4.99 per month. However, when i tried to buy my own domain at Register.com, it cost me only $14.19 per year, which is much cheaper. What is the difference between this two? Is there any specific website which can be trusted to buy domain with credit card? so many frauds this days, none can be trusted over the internet you know. I thank anyone in advance who could answer my question. moreResolved Question: Which is the best domain registration service providing website in india?

Hi, I urgently need to register my website's domain name, but don't know where can I get good rates on the same, while still having a good and trusted service. Advertisers please stay away. If I have to make a compromise, I'll rather choose a trusted name than a cheaper service. I don't want problems of any kind later on. Thanks!! moreResolved Question: Best choice for buying domain name/web hosting?
I'm interested in making a website with my own domain name. I have hardly any web page making skills yet but I think I could learn quickly. I'm not sure how to start off the "getting a website" process though and I'd rather not get a free website from angelfire or anything like that. I want to register a domain name and I'm not sure whether I'd rather get like a 5 year registration from somewhere cheap or a more expensive "domain name forever" (which sounds really good). I'd want a domain name forever because i might stop using the site for a while and come back to it later, and i wouldn't want to keep the web hosting during the break but still keep the domain name. My requirements for web hosting are easily met. Two digit figure bandwidth/storage are probably fine. Option 1 is from e.g. 3ix.org getting a domain name AND a web hosting - i believe its total $21 a year. Option 2 is getting a more expensive plan like webhostingpad.com but getting a domain name forever and being able to switch hosting after a year or so. First year costs nearly $60. Questions: - Am i mistaken about anything I've said, have i been misled - If my needs are practically met by any service provider, what is my best option? (not necessarily one i've mentioned) - By the way is there a way to buy a domain name forever without web hosting? moreResolved Question: Best way to register a Domain Name?

Cheap, Good & Easy moreResolved Question: Website Copied Our Site 100%?
Hi there, I´ve been working on a website for the last 12 months and have invested all of my money into it. I recently found a site that has copied 100% of our site. They even have our content on the site with our names, our logo, and much more that belongs to us. The domain is registered with "Domain by Proxy", and when speaking to them they say they wont give out any information without a court order. Same goes with the hosting company, they want a court order too. Please let me know the easiest and cheapest way to file a court order for a domain that is infringing our intellectual property rights so clearly. We have all the URLs that are infringing us, and basically we want to know who is behind the site. Please give me your 2 cents on this one! Thanks We want to file it with the US authorities. This might help you: They have broken the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.--- "Domains by Proxy" is a service that allows users to register domains privately. They say they can´t give out private information of the person behind the domain if they don´t get a court order to do so. I don´t have left thousands of dollars to spend on legal fees. Is there a way that I can file this complaint with the authorities by doing it myself?--- It is 100% same. They have OUR logo under: www.domain.com/images/logo2.jpg They also have the same passwords to admin control panel! I believe they were behind the intrusion of our server last month. They copied everything and started their own site with my work! moreResolved Question: I am setting up a celebrity fansite. Where can I register and purchase a cheap web host in the Philippines?
