recently downloaded a template for a photography site, and it seems quite complicated. I know I need hosting, (I already have a domain name), and I was thinking of getting the hosting from BH hosting. Would the most basic plan be enough? I don't know anything about code, so how to I add pictures to it and how do I get it in my domain? Mostly, I don't know how to get the template online. There are a lot of files in the folder that came with the template, and they are all file types that open in adobe flash and dreamweaver and stuff. I have no idea what to do. Hi everybody I have created a new website and hosted it on my local server. I have chosen the free domain name from dyndns. like eg. http:/mywebsite.dyndns.info. I am able to access all the pages from the hosted location when I specify their names like http:/mywebsite.dyndns.info/default.html. But on requesting http:/mywebsite.dyndns.info through the browser I am getting http://pratyusha.dyndns.info/iisstart.asp page instead of default.html. Any idea what could be wrong? I have a server with WHM and CPanel, I have a website (lets call it domain.com) which is currently active on the server but I've also created a second website with no active domain (just accessing via http://serverip/~username) but I want domain.com to be switched to this package! Is it as simple as just changing the domain in the WHM Account List? Obviously, removing it from the active first then adding to the new 1! ...I feel this is alot easier than transferring and rubbish as I want to start fresh and I've already created all the content etc on this separate folder! more

So I have a website on a shared web hosting but the web hosting doesn't have what my scripts/website needs. but VPS hosting does. While trying to buy VPS Hosting, it says 'Configure Server' then says "Hostname:" "NS1 Prefix:" "NS2 Prefix:" and "Root Password:" I'll just generate something for the password, but I don't know what I should put for the Hostname, NS1 or NS2 Prefixes. I need to deduct the cost of my Domain Name and Web Hosting on 2009 taxes. Let's I purchased the domain for 1 whole year at $10 from July 2009 - June 2010. I am currently using weebly to edit the html on my website, but it is getting really frustrating to figure out and they do not support php. So normally on Safari, you just type in the domain name, and it automatically takes you to the website if its a www..com. (ex: typing hotmail into the address bar takes you straight to www.hotmail.com, typing hulu into the address bar takes you straight to www.hulu.com.) Today, however, typing in a domain name like that takes me to a search results page. It doesn't even take me to a google search result page, but to my ISP's search engine result page. Help?
