Just put up an office and started a new business in the IT sector as AMSS Systems. The thing is, I need a personalised domain for the web site and e-mail address ASAP to print and give out a new business card. I have no knowledge whatsoever about how these things are done and the charges or who to contact. I realized, however, that even though I own the domain, I cannot host my rapidweaver site i created on it because i am not paying for web hosting. I recently registered on blogger.com. I need advice on what website domain name I should come up with. My blog is not yet set up, but Google says that I can choose a domain name for $10.00 per year. This is waaaaay cheaper than my last web hosting service (through my internet company) that was $19.00 a month. What a rip off that was compared to blogger (which is free if you keep the " *dot* blogspot " in the domain title. I would REALLY prefer free, or really cheap. And when I googled domain names, I always come up with the link to the Microsoft Office Live small business page that is supposedly free. I'm building a website. I would like advice on getting it out there. I have a domain name in mind, it is available and I'm ready to use it. Firstly, what is the best thing to do about registering the domain and getting hosting? should I register the name with someone cheap and get a good host to use it? Godaddy seem cheap but not hearing anything good apart from that! I would like to use PHP and MYSQL, embed videos from my youtube account and others to save space. I really want to start a website for the sole purpose of making money. I have basically no ideas for the website other than coming up with a good domain name(so it will show up in searches) and getting ads(to make money).
