Resolved Question: What's the best UK web hosting provider?

Hello, I am looking for a web hosting provider to host my web site, and also to provide me with a domain name. My web site will only have about 3 or 4 page and will only be about 1MB in total, therefore I only really need a basic package. It will have no programming or server code, it will only have basic html and css. I have look at various web sites, and found that 1and1 is very cheap but I have read very bad reviews about it. It is only £1.99 a month for the basic package, which doesn't go up after a certain amount of years which is good, and a .co.uk domain name is £2.49 a year for 1st year and £2.99 a year after that. I have also had a look at uk-cheapest which has about the same sort of package but costs slightly less at £1.59 a month and a .co.uk domain name is £2.79 a year. They seem to have slightly better reviews but again, not great. I would really appreciate any input and your thoughts and expereinces on these companies or any other companies you would recommend. And just to remind you, I only really want to spend about £2.00 a month. Many thanks. more

I am looking for something that is cheap like below 6.00 dollar a month with unlimited domains and, disk space and bandwidth. Hi, Im looking for a very first web host. Went through lots of reviews and asked some people about their host but still cant make my mind. My final hosts are ; Cove, Dreamhost, Justhost, Bluehost Anybody use/used them before? Can you give me a opinions of them. My purpose for the website is presenting my portfolio. Flash and video is included it. I think 3 or 4 G are good Affordable.. that is... under $100 a year.. for me I dont know what to go for.. some are expensive but people are saying because im beginner, go for cheap ones and i can change later. But other people are saying, dont for cheap ones, if you are stuck, you wouldnt know what to do and the cheap host wont provide you slow support. I'm really stuck.. I wanna find a good web host for our sites. Does anybody know about http://kghosting.com Some people who are using KGhosting said that it's good. But I searched the net for reviews on that host and found nothing. Can anybody recommend them? I had several problems with my current host. In the moment I'm posting this I can't access any of our sites. When such a thing happened in the past the host said that it's due to internet connectivity problems. Hi, I've been doing a bit of research into good web hosting sites and found quite a few reviews and things like that, but are they to be trusted? Almost all the ones I read lead me to hostmonster or justhost. Are these to be trusted? Justhost doesn't want you to leave the page and gives you some fake thing about an agent you can talk to about cheaper prices that seems a bit dodgy, but they are rated #1 on loads of sites. Any suggestions? I'm looking for a cheap hosting site that I can have www."sitename".com or perhaps .co.uk ending. The website will be used to be an online gallery of my designs, flash animations and short films, so unlimited space would be useful :) Thanks. more

I have read many shared web hosting reviews and in fact asked a question a few days agon on Yahoo answers however I believe I closed the question by mistake. I am looking for reliablity, EXPECIALLY good customer support, and advanced features. As I am IT pro, I am looking for a reliable business hosting for a client. Customer support must be great. Tons of features should be available. PHP based. What I'm looking at here is not cheap but a value for money option. Cheap of course would be better but don't want to compromise. Some people recommended HostMonster.com, Slicehost.com (not interested in VPS plan),inmotionhosting.com, bluehost.com. So my top 3 in the list are: 1) bluehost 2) inmotionhosting 3) HostMonster However ratings at http://www.besthostratings.com at not a wow.... Any personal experience to share please? For anyone looking for a host like me, here's some feedback - Inmotion support never replied my email, Live chat took 4 mins for initial response. After my 2nd question I've received a reply after another 5 mins and stopped replying after my 3nd question without any notice. - Powweb - Support facility is quite basic. - Fatcow good support response and helful however no demo cpanel site, and lack features such as fantastico.- HostMonster good support for round 1. However on round 2, the other operator was not so friendly. As for backups, the tech guy that backups MAY be taken on a weekly basis...MAYBE lol...(guess all depends on the sys admin mood) - Weblaunchingpad lousy techical support. - HostGator very good support however prices are more expensive than competitors -JustHost VERY good support for round 1. However on round 2, the other operator was not so friendly. Also another hosting asked me to confirm my identity by specifing the cpanel admin password!! (yes your password) or paypal reference number. Anyone else can share own experience with HostGator or Justhost.com? more

Ive read a feeeew bad reviews online, but I feel like they cant be trusted. I am starting a website, and looking for a host. I found these 3, and they all seem too good to be true: http://www.StartLogic.com : Unlimited Bandwidth, Unlimited Space, Free domain. 5 bucks a month. These places have similar deals: http://www.hostmonster.com/ http://www.dot5hosting.com/dot5/special_promo.bml That just seems extremely cheap. Looking elsewhere, its more like $20 a month for limited bandwidth and space. Is there a catch? Are these sites reliable? I haven't bought webspace in a long time, so I am a bit lost. Hi all, paying a small fortune for 3 domains with 1 hosting package which just does not get used. So looking for somewhere to transfer my 3 domains over too, each one has 1 email address with it, one is my main domain and has about 5 email accounts, webspace I just dont need as the domains are forwarding url's. so just need somewhere which can keep my domains registered but also offers email hosting... The only one I can find is fasthosts, but they seem to get really bad reviews, though all of them I looked at so far seem to also!
