Okay, I swear I checked out every hosting site and their reviews. However, I still can't decide on which is the best. Everysite site has tons of good and bad things about it. Basicly my main concern is having a great web designer. I could honestly care less about the CPanel, and SQL Server base and all. All, I want is a good site that's around $5 or less a month, and has a great web builder that supports custom HTML (for embedding objects and all) If it comes with a free domain on registration that's a plus. I have a domain name registered with Google (gdomains through godaddy). I really love having everything handled through Google. I love the email, I'm used to the platform for my DNS settings, I like their file hosting, I have advertising credit, the registration price is perfect and includes 50 usernames and 90 CNAMES. The only thing is I really really don't like the Google Sites hosting platform. I know this isn't ideal but I'm really not ready to do a full transfer to a new host. Basically I just want something that will allow me to redirect my already registered domain name to a basic webpage that I can create through the host site. I have my own layout coded and everything and had my site up on Blogger, which was pretty close to how I want it in terms of features but it wasn't giving me the freedom I wanted to add extra pages and things like that. To water it down my site is basically a "blog" but I need 5 separately archived pages so you can see how that would be a problem with something like Blogger. Especially with my CNAMES because blog sites don't allow naked URLs. I use Webs for free hosting on smaller projects but I'm not sure if I trust them with my domain, plus I can't afford a premium package right now. I don't need the extra storage space or any of the other perks of a package deal right away, I know if I start getting traffic I will need to upgrade but I already have more than enough assets through Google to get started. Hey there. So I'm interested in making a website for a band, that will probably have a few video files, audio files, maybe a calendar, but definitely pictures. I would like to start my own website. It's nothing fancy. I want to buy www.insertmynamehere.com and have it be a resume type site so I can give it to potential employers after I graduate. I have a very frustrating problem with my internet. Whenever I click on Mozilla or Internet Explorer, the page doesn't load up and it displays "Address cannot be found". It says this everytime on either browser. It will not refresh. I know my internet is working, cause my wireless airport has a green light and my DSL modem displays that all internet access is working fine. And if I'm on my laptop, I can scan using WiFi, and my linkup appears, so it has to work. This was only happening on my Desktop, but then a week later it happened on my Laptop. I can't figure it out! I have Panda Internet Security, in case that helps with an answer. Here's what it exactly reads every time I click on a browser on both computers: Address Not Found. Recently I have updated the Windows and all the updated recommended by the Microsoft. The moment I did it I'm unable to open few websites including Wordpress.Com.
