Resolved Question: I need help with my iPod(s)...?

OK this is pretty long and possibly confusing, so here goes... 2 years ago, I got a 20GB iPod for Christmas. This iPod could play songs only (no video, etc.) I've been using it for 2 years and have like 400 songs on it. Today is my parents' anniversary and my mom got my dad a new iPod Nano with video and photos and everything. We gave it to my dad and he said "why don't we trade iPods?" He doesn't really care about the video, he just wants to put a bunch of his songs on an iPod. We have 2 computers.One is in my basement with all my iTunes on it. The other is upstairs with no iTunes on it, just a bunch of my dad's songs on Windows Media Player... My question is, how do I delete all of my songs off of my old iPod while keeping all of my iTunes on my basement computer and then start the old iPod over on my dad's upstairs computer for him? Do I need the old iTunes disc to start it over on the upstairs computer (which has never had iTunes on it before)? Also, can I just put the new iPod into my basement computer using a USB and get all of my songs onto it? I know this is long so thanks to anyone who wants to help... more

Voting Question: Putting videos on old Ipod?

I got an iPod from a friend and im not sure what kind it is,Its a 20gb and it says 2004 on the back. In the playlist area it says "Music videos" and it also sys "Photo import" and theres a photo section,but when I put it through itunes neither go to the Ipod.Ive tried like everything Anyone got any ideas,PLEASE?!Thanks,but is that considered"old" if its from 2004? why would it give you the option on the ipod then? more

Okay well I had a 20gb ipod one of the 4g black and white ones, and that was sick, but i sold it and now I've got a ipod mini 4gb which is pretty good as well, I'm thinking about getting one that can fit all my music though which is about 40gb or something. Thing is I'm not sure whether to spend much money, as I only listen to my ipod when I'm alone, and never when I'm with people, as i think they are fairly anti social haha, so I'm not sure whether to spend money on something that may not get used a fair bit. My question is what is out there at the moment with over 80gb of space? I've heard a lot of bad shit happening with the ipod classic so yeah what else is kicking around that is good? I don't care about photo's or video's or even if it has colour. Also another question, By next year this time abouts, what storage will phones be predicted to have? because if they have enough i might as well buy a decent phone when my cap runs out. cheers more

I just bought a 20GB iPod photo off ebay (i know, a little out dated, but not bad for 80 bucks) and I was wondering if anyone knows a way for me to play videos on it? When i open my playlist link, i have a "music videos" tab that i can choose but no videos are in it. I know my ipod only plays mp3 and other audio formats, but does anyone know of a converter that i can use to put videos on the iPod through iTunes or any other outlet??? Please let me know! more

My iPod, which is the one with photos, 20GB and no video, has not been working, I got it last October, and in January it froze up. I let the battery die and re-charged it and it worked fine. Now however, none of the buttons work, neither does the wheel. I tried the restore, but nothing happened. I am willing to try almost anything. more
