Open Question: How to put photos on ipod touch?

On my itunes, there isn't for some reason, a tab that says photos and I can't seem to get one on? Any clues as to why or how to put photos on an ipod touch? And also if anyone knows how to put videos on, that would be helpful info too! Buy a new one? I have the 3rd gen iPod nano and I kind of want a new one with more space. Or should I just keep it? If I sell it, what should I get instead? Idk if I want to buy a new iPod (touch?) or should I look into a Zune or something else? Something with music, radio, and video capability sounds good, and pictures. Open Question: Why does my iPod docking station make beeps and buzzy noises?

Hi, I have the iMode series SYLVANIA SIP202 and whhenever I leave it plugged in it makes random noises. This happens even when I turn radio to off, and volume all the way down. No matter what I do the noaises are the same loudness. I think it mat have something to do with stray radio waves, as whenever I use my iPod's or laptop's wifi it makes constant noisew whenever unload pages, and when streaming video it sounds like little bugs n the room. I just bought an unlocked iphone from one guy and when I plug it in to my computer and Itunes it starts syncing but only syncs ''info'' and not apps, music, videos and so on. Well.. I've spent at least two hours trying to figure out how to move the music video that's put under "Movies" on my iTunes to "Music Video" on my iPod. I read somewhere a few minutes ago that if I right click, select "Get Info" and go under a certain tab and select "Music Video", then the video I selected would go under "Music Video" on my iTunes. Voting Question: What is the best Winterboard theme with the most app icons on Cydia for the iPod?

There are hundreds of thousands of Winterboard themes on Cydia, Rock, and even on the internet. I recently ran into a great theme called Crunp, which contains moderate amounts of the themed icon for the apps. I own a iPod Touch, jailbroken 3.1.2, and use Winterboard. Also in Cydia I downloaded "iTransform to iPod" so it gives me an iPod icon instead of Music and Video icons (which a lot of the Winterboard themes don't have the themed icon for Music and Video). I also installed the 5 icon dock, 5 column springboard, and smoothboard (a program that allows you to swipe once and it goes through all the pages). Now that I gave you as much info on my iPod touch, I wanted to see what is the best theme for my iPod using all of my details? Also, what is the best Winterboard theme out there that contains the most themed icons for all the apps out there? The problem is that when you have a cool theme and you don't have the themed icon for some of the stuff, it makes the themes look horrible. more

Today while I was leaving my grandmothers house, I decided to pull around in the couldisack next to her house. As I was pulling around, I noticed a cop was pulling up through the neighboorhood, and followed me out. As I proceeded down the road to a stop light that was green, turned left (in the turning lane, and I know I didnt use my signal, but neither did the other people in the lane) he then flipped his lights on. As I pulled over, his words were the normal "license, registration, and insurance" I handed them to him, and he asked me why I was shaking. I told him, the heat in my car wasnt working, I was cold, and nervous, as this was my first time being pulled over. He then asked me where I had came from, so I told him. Then he asked me where I was going. I told him to pick up a buddy of mine. He asked who my buddy was, and so I told him my friends name. He then asked me to sit tight while he ran my info. I had never been pulled over, never gotten in trouble, and had a squeaky clean record. As I called my grandmother to tell her what had happened, another police officer pulled up, and a drug dog with him as well. The dog then circled my car for 5 minutes, and the cop asked me to step out of the vehicle with my hands against the car. Then the other cop started to search my car, and did NOT ask to do so. While he was doing that, the other cop asked my to empty my pockets, consisting of an ipod, 2 pennies, a cell phone, and my wallet. He then began to search me, asking if I had any weapons, or drugs. I replied no. The other cop searched my car for about 45 minutes to an hour. While he was doing that, the cop standing next to me how old I was, and I replied 20. He then asked if I had friends who did weed, heroin, etc. I replied no, and how that crowd wasnt really for me. He then asked, what do I do with my time. I replied play video games, work, and play music. The other cop finally asked to search my glove box, and I told him I couldnt open it due to losing the key for it, the doors, and the trunk, but if he wanted to pry it open, go right ahead. He didnt. Although, he did ask me to open my trunk, so I did. There was a bag of clothes, and asked what it was, I told him some clothes I meant to drop off at a Goodwill, but never got the time. He smelled them, searched them, and found nothing. After letting the other cop know that it was "clean" he then proceeded to write me a citation for not using a turning signal at the light. Which if you go straight, you obviously have to turn left, since you cant go straight. My friends, and family, suggest that I get the family lawyer and sue for harassment/etc. I wasnt mad at the cops..but very embarrassed that people at the stop light were stopped looking at me, and people at the market place where I pulled over, all gathered around as well, not asked to leave. Id like avoid confrontation, but something in me says this just wasnt right. My grandmother also informed me after that the neighborhood was on watch for the culdisack in worry that drugs were being dealt. I had no idea since I dont live in the neighborhood. Do I sue? Resolved Question: I don't know which one is best for me: Zune or iPod?

I've been thinking about getting a mp3 player. I had a really cheap one I got for free but it was stolen and now I want another. I really want the ipod that's like $139 or something. Its the small one with a ton of colors. I had a friend who let me use it and I found it really easy to use but I don't have the program for it on my computer. My dad just recently got the Zune HD and it's flippin' amazing too but I don't like everything about it. I wouldn't get the HD though cause it's a little too pricey for me but I do already have the program on my computer for it. I don't care about if it can play video or anything. I just want to the ablilty to pick and choose songs I really like but don't own and play them in my car. I guess my question is which one should I get? I've been told that Zune has a monthly subscription of 14.99 but you can only KEEP 10 songs and you're basically renting any other songs. I don't know how iTunes works. Can you just buy songs or do you HAVE to subscribe? Any suggestions or other info would be really helpful. Thank you! more

Voting Question: How do you change the volume level of an MP4 file?

I have a lot of MP4 files that have different volume levels. I would like to make them all close to the same volume level so I don't have to adjust the volume on my ipod every time a new video starts. I found programs that can normalize mp3 files but nothing for mp4. a few days ago i had lost my ipod touch in school. later in the week, i was called down to my schools security office and they had told me that they found my ipod (i supplied them with the serial number, and they matched it to the one they had), some kid had it but got it taken away, and when they called his parent(s) to come pick it up, they said that had no idea he had an itouch (hes in some deep ____ about now), only thing is, he was able to restore the ipod in his computer, and delete everying to put his own stuff, is there any way i can put back all the info (apps, music, videos) all at once? i had synced it with itunes the night prior to losing it, and i really do not want to get everything back one by one. Resolved Question: How do i get internet on my ipod touch (read description for router type and all that other info)?

I just recently bought an 8GB ipod touch (3rd generation). I've been trying to hook up the internet on it but am having many problems doing so. I have a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 Broadband Router. I also have an xbox360 which uses wireless internet for xbox live so i know i have wireless internet. My internet is also secured. Videos online that i've seen though, have said that when asked for the password on the ipod touch after selecting your internet source or w/e that you type some code off of your router. Resolved Question: Ipod Nano Album Art HELP!?

So i just got my ipod nano 5th generation. (the one that can record videos blah blah blah) Well, I've been manually adding the album art to the different songs i've put on the ipod. Like for example, I downloaded some songs by evanescence from their 'fallen' album and i had to find the album art on google and i copied and pasted it in the art tab (on every song from that album) on the 'get info' option. well just a minute ago i deleted one of the seven songs from the album and now the picture of the album cover won't show up on my cover flow on my ipod. if i click on one song specifically the album art for the rest of the songs will show up but if i just look at the album itself and not the songs, there's no picture there. it's done this with other albums too. i'll delete one song from one album and then the album art one show up with the other albums in the cover flow...help! what do i do to fix this? oh! and i also try re-adding the song i deleted back to the album and it still didn't work! more

I got an iPod Touch for Christmas, right? Naturally, the first thing I did was sync it with my computer (Windows XP). I turned off the computer (after un-plugging the iPod), and the next time I turned it on, I got what I like to call "The black screen of death" (it wouldn't turn on). I called in the computer guy, and he said it had to be re-imaged. So, yeah all my files, including all of my music, is now gone from my computer. I was wondering if there was any way of copying them from iPod to my PC? I used to do it all the time with my old iPod video, but that recently spat it as well. So, any help would be much appreciated, as most of my music isn't backed up on disk. more

Voting Question: where did my videos go that i put on my ipod nano(5th) go?

This is what i did, added videos under "movies" through itunes, then i went to "get info" and "options" i put set 1 as "podcast" and "itunes u" as another, now they aren't showing up through itunes or my ipod, wth? im betting they're takin up ma memory too. where do i locate these vids to delete or change the info like i did b4? more

Resolved Question: Trouble syncing mp4 video to iTouch - please help? :(?

I manually sync my music/videos to my first generation 8 gig iTouch, and usually have no problem doing so. However yesterday.. I tried to sync some videos I converted to mp4s... and iTunes gave me a message saying: "___ was not copied to the iPod because it cannot be played on this iPod." Then it gives me an option "Do not warn me again" to check off... and then an "OK" button. I have no idea what the problem could be. I have enough space on my iPod - I checked. I already converted the video from being a .mov to a .mp4 format (the accepted iTunes format). And in the past, I have not had issues with similar files like the ones I'm having trouble with now. Additional info: The original .mov file was created in MAC's program Photobooth. I convert my video files with a program called MPEG Streamclip, which I have not had issues with in the past... BUT, my computer recently-ish forced me to update iTunes to the latest version... could THIS possibly be the problem? Does the latest iTunes version only take files that have been converted with certain programs? Sorry this was so long.. but this is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.Edit: The files play in iTunes, but that message comes up only when I drag it to the iPod on the sidebar to sync it. I tried to sync them both today and yesterday.. so I don't think restarting my computer will do anything. I also tried renaming the files yesterday, and that wasn't the problem. more

Hi Guys, I am thinking of buying an Ipod touch (you may have remembered a few of my other questions about them) and before I do, I have a few questions I would like to ask... 1) I don't want a 64 Gb but I cant decide between 8 GB or 32 GB. Which do you think is the best for the value of money?? 2)I know that they have bluetooth and WiFi but can you connect with someone who has an iphone? 3) How much (on average) do games, apps and songs cost? 4) Is it worth it? Voting Question: how do i view music video items from my ipod on itunes and sort them?

Whenever i get a music video on itunes, i drag it to the movies section,then i go to "get info" to change the title or something, and then i go to options and select music video for media kind so on the ipod, it wont show up on the movies section but when i do that, it disappears and i cant find it. its on my ipod but when i connect it again and click on the ipods movies section it only show movies and not music videos. I ried clicking on a lot of stuff and no hope. How do i do it? more

I cant use Itunes for my Ipod classic 80gb (the new itunes wont work and I now cant use any Itune version) but I cant find any other programs that is like itunes I have used Doubletwist but its slow and I cant edit my music and I'm OCD when it comes to how my ipod looks and if all my songs don't have the correct info or if its spelt incorrectly I cant listen to it (LOL) so i need something that will let me 1.Have pod-casts 2.EDIT MY MUSIC ECT. 3.Have videos 4.Rip from cds Ect, pretty much another Itunes but not actually itunes. I bought this for my daughter. Came with a TINY booklet with no clear instructions. i dont even know what the adapter is for that it came with. I've never seen such a lack of a manual and I thought I was good with this stuff. It says it supports avis. I've downloaded music videos for her and I only get an error. I dont know what I'm doing wrong. This is the only one with such a large screen. Not paying 200 for an ipod for a 10 year old. Do I need to convert these videos even though its suppose to support avi. Any advice would be appreciated. I have hardly found info on this brand and model, if it is no good or not. I see sony walkman mp3 players for 10 bucks more but smaller screen. more

ok so right now, I have an ipod nano. The chromatic one. 4th gen. And they just came out with a new one. I want a new ipod, and my mom is gonna take my old one. I love all the feuatures on the new nano. i would get the purple one. Like, it has radio (which ive been waiting for) IT HAS VIDEO, WHICH IS JUST AWESOME. soryr caps. hahaha. and then, i dont think you need earphones anymore. if thats coreect? and i love how it is colorful. I love it. But then there is the touch. Everyone is telling me to get that one and i have so many friends who have it, and love it! I love how you can go on the internet, and listen to music without earphones. But im not really into games. I dont think. im 14 and im not really girly. I just dont know if i would like it, like it might get old after a while. Or just boring. My brother keeps telling me to get the touch. But iidk, please hlpe me. So at the moment I have an ipod video, a while back my laptop crashed and all my songs on my itunes got deleted. I connected my ipod to my itunes and put them back on, i don't remember how, but all i know is that not all of them made it back to itunes. so now my ipod has around 1091 songs on it but my itunes only has 957 songs. i've checked and there does seem to be quite a few missing, and i can't figure out why itunes only got a certain amount of songs. I've been doing some googling and now i know how to get all my songs back on my itunes (show hidden folders, ipod control, music, copy and paste) But that's besides the point, I'm getting a 32GB ipod touch 3G for christmas and I want to be able to put all of my songs on it. So i guess here are my real questions... 1-Should I download a whole new itunes for my new ipod touch and put all my songs from my old ipod on that, i'd need an empty itunes anyway because in the ipod control folder the songs aren't named or anything so its not like i can just figure out which songs are missing and then just put those on? & I want to kind of start fresh and have a seperate itunes for this ipod. Is that weird? 2- when i do put all my songs on an empty itunes, will all the album artwork and info and such work? or will it have weird names and stuff? like in the folder the songs are named with like letters and stuff like AAC, AAD, AAE, AAF, etc. I'd probably end up depressed if i lost all my songs haha, so I really want to do this right. So here's my game plan: I download new itunes, make my new ipod the main ipod for it, get all songs from old ipod onto it, then sync it with my new ipod? OR: I could erase my current itunes, Put all songs on the right way, then get new itunes, transfer old itunes to new itunes, and sync with new ipod? As you can see, I clearly need help lol. I have a VOB file for the movie Pan's Labyrinth and as it's a Spanish movie I want some English subtitles so I can understand it when I convert to MPEG4 so I can play it on my iPod. I'm using DVDDecrypter to extract the VOB files from the DVD, and when I enable stream processing it gives me the option to include English subtitles, which I select, but when it's finished the DVD and I play it was SMPlayer (VOB file video player) it doesn't have any subtitles on the bottom for me to read! I'm having a bit of trouble deciding here. I've seen such things as the ipod touch, the zune, Archos, Eclipse, etc etc, and each of them has its upsides and its downsides. ipod Touch has basically all the essentials, wi-fi, great app selection, music, video, etc. But a couple things factor against it. One, I'm a PC fan, so getting itunes and having to buy most of the stuff for it is quite annoying. Could I transfer my music library to the touch without problems? How well would video work? Another thing, the price. As for the zune, preferably the zune HD, it excels at most the touch's features except for apps and possibly internet connection. Another thing, I live in Canada, so purchasing one could be problematic as well getting service for it. Archos, good all-around, but bulky and terrible user interface. Eclipse, good all-around, but no wi-fi. I'm getting this info from multiple and mixed reviews so I'd like some actual users to give me a head's-up. So, what I'm looking for is something with at least satisfactory music playing, satisfactory video playing, good internet browsing, easily compatible with PC, good selection of applications without high prices, and good all-around look. okay so my iTouch is fairly new. Everything's been working smoothly, i have my music on there and the internet is working. the only that wasn't working was playing videos. So my mom was trying to help me fix the problem. This is what happened: i plugged in my itouch to the computer and brought up iTunes. My mom came in and was all like "oh can i try something" so she brings up the info page (idk if thats what its called but its the page on itunes where has the name of the ipod and serial number and all that)So she brings up this page and checks the little box that says "Sync only checked songs and videos" (btw the only thing that was checked was "Open iTunes when this iPod is attached") but now when i click music on my itouch it says No Content and i dont know how to get my music to the ipod now. It's still on the computer though. does anyone know how to fix this or know what we did wrong?!?! Help :( more
