Iam 38 and have managed to stay away from anything related with a mobile phone for the past 25 years! And have not had a television in my house since i was 19........ Lately i feel like i have been realing that I was kinda being left out with my peers... They often took about sports stats, but i can only talk about games.. Salut! 1)Je m’appelle Monica et j’ai quatorze ans. Mon anniversaries c’est le vingt cinq septembre. J’ai les cheveux noirs longs mais quand il pleut Il peut être un peu boucles. Ma grandmere pense que j’ai les yeux grandes marron mais je ne suis pas d’accord. 2)Je suis de l’avis que je suis assez aimable parce que je suis la plus généreuse que ma copines et je suis totalement compréhensive comme ma mere. En général quand je suis au college, je crois que je suis travailleuse mais un peu bavarde. J’essaie d’être sérieuse et pleine de vie. Quand je suis sans mes amis, je suis trop timide mais de temps en temps je suis sort de sa coquille. 3)Mon sport favori est définitivement du ski patinage sur glace parce que je trouve que c’est passionant est rapide. J’en fais en hiver d’habitude avec ma famille mais quelquefois j’en fais en été aussi avec ma copine qui s’appelle Basirat. Je ne peux pas pas supporter le rugby parce q’ue c’est extrêmement dangereux et fatigant. 4)Mardi derniere, j’ai vu un match de foot avec ma famille au le stade. Je vais au stade souvent avec ma famille mais avec mon père surtout. Mes parents n’aiment pas que parce que il pense que je regarde trop la télé. Je préfère lire. 7)J’ai utiliser l’internet tous les jours pour trop de temps depuis quand j’ai été sept ans. Aussi, je n’aime pas envoie des emails à mes copains parce que je préfère vais sur le blogs de mes copains et écrit sur le blogs à mes amis. C’est plus facile et tres rapide. Je voudrais à télécharge de la musique sur mon iPod mais je pense que c’est mieux à achete CDs dans le magasins. Voting Question: I CAN NOT break this habit of staying up late, HELP!?

I'm 16 years old and I guess you could say I'm fed up with staying up so late. Lately I've been stuck in this cycle where I literally can NOT bring myself to fall asleep until like 2 or 3 AM on most nights. And it worries me because I care SO MUCH about school and sports. I get straight A's and am devoted to varsity track and cross country, and I don't want this bad sleeping habit to hinder my performance in class or in athletics at all. But, the weird thing is that (at least for the past couple weeks) it hasn't really effected me... like I'm still doing well in school, and I'm still performing to expectation on the track. Though, I do sometimes during class feel a lot more drowsy than usual, and some classes I find it hard to concentrate. So, this is why I want to make sure I'm getting the right amount of sleep, but I just can't. A lot of the times I'll get super carried away by things like the internet, video games, ipod. And I won't stop using them until about midnight. Then I'll try and lay in bed and seriously... I'll just sit there in bed from 12:00AM til like 2 or 3 AM not being able to fall asleep. It just makes no sense to me that I'll get like 4 hours of sleep the night before, take rigorous classes all day, then have practice after school, then finally do homework at home, and later on it'll be like midnight and it still takes me 2 or 3 more hours to fall asleep! It seems to me like I SHOULD just doze off the instant I hit the bed. But noooo, I toss and turn in my bed, pondering school, relationships, sports, etc. or just whatever happened that day or I'll start thinking about what I need to do the next day. I don't know... I should probably try eliminating the computer, xbox, ipod for like a couple nights and see how that turns out. It still makes no sense to me though that even if I'm not using those things, that I can just lay in bed bored out of my mind, and not fall asleep. I'd love to be getting 8 hours of sleep (AT LEAST!) instead of the current 3-5... Any ideas, suggestions, would be totally appreciated. THANKS!Regarding J5: Yeah, like a couple of weeks ago a buddy and I pulled 2 all-nighters in a row. We'd go to sleep at like 7:30AM and sleep til like 3 or 4 PM haha (if that's what you consider an all-nighter). My boyfriend and I are both sixteen, and we've been dating for a long time. We always get each other really adorable gifts. His favorite candy is M&M's, so for his last birthday, I bought him personalized green M&M's (we have an inside joke about the green ones), and I got him a bunch of gourmet cupcakes and balloons and stuff. For Christmas, I already this necklace made for him that has an anchor on it and like another tag that says "only you can hold me down". His family has a yacht and he sails and scuba dives over the summer, so that explains the anchor. I also got him two v-necks, a t-shirt, and a flannel from Urban Outfitters, and I'm baking him a bunch of different Christmas cookies and making chocolate covered pretzels and stuff. I want to get him one more big gift, but I don't know what. Money is not an issue, and don't tell me I shouldn't be spending so much money on him - we always spoil each other. (Both of his parents are doctors, and he works at a dentists office.) Anyway, I want it to be Original. Please don't tell me to cook for him, I do that all the time. Don't tell me sex...I do not view that as an actual gift. Pictures in a frame or a scrapbook is girly, as well as that coupon book idea. No mix CD's, or anything simple like that. He is a young 15 yo with a mild disability. Does not want a iPod, MP3 or MP4, CD's or DVD player, but wants my Nokia 6500 mobile. Not sporty and doesn't want a new bike, skateboard, etc. He already has a video camera and laptop this year. Has a large collection of Star Wars memorabilia, games and SW Lego. Just had his birthday and I bought him the Pokemon Platinum DS game and book. He bought the Wii game Star Wars Clone Wars too. Doesn't need any new clothes as recently fitted out with new Summer gear and shoes ... growth spurts mean new clothes for some! Have bought Wii Sports Resort & 2 motion-plus, Fraggle Rock - Season 4 (He collects them), Lego Darth Tie Fighter, Shaving Gift Pack so far. That's not much and only 2 weeks to go. Every idea I give him he seems not interested in. All he really wants is that Lego Star Wars Darth Tie Fighter and that was on special when I bought it! Voting Question: Ok, is it just me or is my dad's "view" messed up?

Ok 1. He thinks that hanging around with younger kids is bad or something? I mean, they're not even that younger then me. For example, I hang out with my friend who is 1 grade lower than me and my dad says that he doesn't like me hanging out with younger kids. What, does he think i have no friends or something (lol)? Cause i got some friends at school, it's just that in my neighborhood there's not that many people that are the same grade as me (there's about 3 people who are in the same grade as me and i'm friends with them too it's just that 1 out of 3 likes to play video games and the other 2 i just play sports with.) That goes along to 2. So my friend who's younger then me and my other friend (likes to play video games) who is in the same grade as me comes over to my house to play some video games. Since there is 3 people and i have only 2 controllers, i asked if i can buy a controller. He said, yes and then changed his mind since he said, "if your buying the controller so that you can play video games with that younger kid then no." Ok, first off isn't that the whole point of the xbox 360? You know, play with friends cause i would get bored of doing single player missions over and over again. I asked him why?! and he said that he thinks that THEY should go and buy a xbox 360 controller (since we play the xbox 360...) So i argued with him saying that i guess if my friend has a ps3, then i should go and get a ps3 controller so i can play with him. Or if my friend has an ipod touch then i should go get and ipod touch so we can play together. He said, "yea..." and just went upstairs.......... so my question is do you think my dad is just making up BS excuses or do you think he actually has a reason for all this? We are spending Christmas with my husband's dad's family for the first time (they live far away from the rest of our family, so we usually visit them in the spring/summer rather than winter) and I want to get my brother and sister-in-law something special since we'll be there to see them open it. He is 13, a complete fashion victim, obsessed with clothes and his cell phone and girls and his laptop. (Yes, these two are way spoiled). He's not into sports but he does like music (both to listen to and to play, he plays guitar and a bit of piano, and was learning the sax last summer but I don't know if he's kept that up) unfortunately, he already has an iPod, and tons of video game stuff that he barely ever uses. Mostly, he's a social butterfly. Oh, he's also getting into drama and has a small part in his high school's musical this semester. She is going to be turning 10, she's also into clothes but it's hard to buy clothes for kids you only see once a year (getting their sizes, finding something you know they'll like, etc) and they don't have a lot of chain clothing stores in their town for me to get them gift cards. I have an iPod nano 3rd gen and my mum says I should really get a new one (think it's cos she wants the one I have at the moment xD). I'll only need about 8gb. My mum thought I should get the iPod Touch, but I think it'd be too big, like it wouldn't fit in my pocket or anything.
