Hi everyone, I KNOW THIS IS VERY LONG BUT PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING, I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT HER ANYMORE! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEEEASE READ THE WHOLE THING! AND EVERYONE ANSWER PLEASE. :[ Okay, so I have a friend that is always making rude comments about me. I told her I was going to the mall the other day in case she wanted to meet up there and she said "What are you going for? You already have everything in the world". This makes me very upset. She spent the night a few days ago and she was looking at my baby pictures. In one of them I was wearing sunglasses and she said "Wow, even then you were concieted.". Also, whenever I pet my dog I always tell her she is cute (Lol) and whenever I say that my friend goes "No she's not.". That same day I gave my dog a piece of the food I was eating and my friend said "Have fun with her getting diabetes.". This is REALLY starting to get on my nerves. I'm sick of all her smart ass comments. I have a TV in my room, Laptop, Cell Phone, Ipod, Ipod Doc, Wii, Digital Camera, a lot of clothes, etc. But just because I have these things doesn't say anything about me. I'm NOT concieted at all, I actually have a very low self esteem. I never say anything to her when she makes her little comments because we would just get into an arguement and she thinks she ALWAYS has to win, even if she is wrong and knows it. Honestly, I would get rid of all of the stuff I listed except for my clothes (I think you know why) and Ipod so I could take singing and piano lessons. That's all I really want. Do I really sound like that bad of a person? I am NEVER rude to her the way she is. Never. There are other things she does that makes me mad too. She has a crush on my 36 year old cousin (I am 14 and she is only 13) and she E-mails him EVERYDAY and once she even asked him if he thought she was pretty. My mom found out about this and wasn't very happy about it. But my friend continues talking to him, AND plans on going to the movies with him! Also, I made a Youtube account for myself so I could post videos of myself singing but I haven't done that because she has COMPLETELY taken over the account and is posting very rude comments on other peoples videos. Oh, and I told her that I wanted to get a treadmill so I could get in shape and she kept saying it was a stupid idea and blah blah blah. Also, I feel like she thinks I am really immature or something. Do I seriously sound immature? There is NOTHING wrong with her life. She lives in a nice neighborhood, in a four bedroom house. She goes to a good school. Honestly, there is no reason for her to be jealous of me (If she is) because I live in a two bedroom condo and go to a really ghetto school. What do I do about her? She is one of my best friends but I can't put up with this anymore! No, I wasn't trying to show them off..? I was listing those because later in what I wrote I said that I would give up those things so I could have singing and piano lessons. more

so i got the little square ipod video nano about a year ago,and its alright and all,but the clicker wheel malfunctions sometimes,and the hold button does it too....i press the reset buttons,but itl do it after that,too....i have the receip tand i have all the original packaging and everything,so do u think if i used the barcode or the serial number or something from the ipod,that i would be able to return it?(remember its been a year)....ive kept the ipod in its case the whole tiome,so there is absolutely no damage at all to the ipod on the outside,but like i said,something is wrong with it....im thinking about getting the itouch though...do u think theres a type of deal i can make to trade mine in,give some cash,and leave with the itouch?? more

Voting Question: iPod video turns off by itself after playing 5 - 6 songs?

My iPod video turns off by itself after playing songs for like 15 - 20 mins? This is new and I have just recently discovered it. The first time this happened was like 2 - 3 days ago when I unplugged it from my "Kensington iPod FM transmitter for car", as soon as I unplugged it, it turned off. Then the second time was the same night when I just plugged it in to load a song on it. I unplugged it and started listening to the song and that time it lasted only for 2 mins and 15 seconds. Today it happened for the third time and this time it lasted for about 20 mins. Currently I'm playing it on my iPod dock (which is supplying power to it) and it is working just fine. Been playing for like 40 mins now without any trouble. Is it some other problem or the nightmare has come true where I have to get the battery replaced? Will restoring it help in case there's some problem with the software?? Cheers! more

Im planning on getting a second generation ipod touch at the end of Janurary (longer so my parents think i have to think hard about my ipod shufle. not that i dont like it but i did say i needed something was a screen lol) ill still use my shuffle just for music like just hide it incase my touch dies or something but anywoof lol i was wondering how much memory it has. i know a bit less but how much songs can the 8GB store vs. the 16GB (only those two) and how much video each can handle. if its only like an hour or two differents then ill go with the cheaper one but yeah and what case is best THANKS! more

Hi, I just got a new ipod Touch for christmas. I have never had an apple product before. I have d/l'd latest ver of itunes and installed no prob. Have also sync'd music and books from my computer, and have a small library of mp4 video that does not go onto my touch..Shows up fine and is even watchable in itunes but will not go onto my touch??? What gives, afaik I have it in the proper format and stuff, have even tried using a couple different converters just in case, but that still doesnt do it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks more

Voting Question: What should I do during my brothers surgery? Thanks!?

Next Thursday my older brother is having surgery. I'm going to be there for him but my family and I are going to have to wait in the waiting room for the whole estimated 4 hour surgery. I'm going to be at the hospital the whole day though and I have no idea what I'm gonna do while we wait. I'm already planning on bringing work from my classes and an extra credit worksheet for Algebra and Science but I don't know what else to do (and bring). Has anybody had a similar situation? What did you bring to keep yourself occupied? Suggestions? Also, are you allowed to bring sewing needles and such to hospitals because I would like to finish sewing a case for my ipod (I'm bringing my ipod)? I have no video game systems except for a DS. Voting Question: My iPod got wet. It still turns on and works with my desktop, but the wheel won't respond. Is it salvagable?

Yes it was completly submerged in water for about a minute, though inside a protective case. I left it for a few days to dry and it turned back on and worked fine. Over the course of the last couple months the wheel slowly began having problems where i would have to push a button two or three times to get it to respond, then it would work for a fewminutes and not work for an hour or two, and finally quit working al together. The iPod will still function when attatched to my computer, and the wheel will respond to turn it on, or if I hold the correct buttons to reset it, but once it is on I can't scroll or select the highlighted menu. So the battery is fine and the hardrive is working, and the wheel is still sending signals. I've tried resetting it, restoring it, and anything else I can think to do. If anyone else has any suggestions or has heard of this happening, or is a computer hardware pro and can direct me to fix it I would be thankful. It's a Gen V 60 GB Video with no warranty. Hey, I got an iPod Classic 120GB suprise Christmas present having had 1 or 2 problems with my 30GB video, one of which being out of capacity. Anyhow, I haven't been keeping up with the latest advances in Apple iPods and it appears that every iPod Classic case is suited to either the for 80GB or 160GB capacity, and I think the latter must've been discontinued. Anyhow, from the select few 120GB-suitable cases on the market, does anyone have any recommendations from knowledge/personal experience for I buy one I might be disappointed with? And has anyone got any headphone recommendations for me also, preferably in-ear headphones. The Sennheiser CX300s I used in compliance with my 30GB Video have worn and the white discoloured. Voting Question: Which iPod is right for me?

I have an iPod Mini (4 gig) from 2005. It's in perfect condition and Best Buy's Trade-In website tells me that it can sell for around $41. But I think it's time that I got a new iPod. I've been looking at 3 iPods: - iPod Nano 4th Generation - iPod Classic (latest) - iPod Touch 2nd Generation Now I have a few questions. Right now I have about 1,000 songs in my library, which isn't that much (4 gigs, enough to fill up my Mini right now). My major question is movies and videos. I was thinking of maybe putting The Dark Knight on it or something like that. I was wondering how many gigabytes The Dark Knight will take up on the iPod. So if I want to watch movies/videos on my iPod, then you're probably saying the iPod Touch is the best option because of its large viewing screen. But what if I want to put 2-3 more movies and 3-4 more videos (maybe from YouTube)? How much memory would that take up? Also, how would I get the movie from the DVD to the iPod without spending money on the transfer program? If it takes up more than 16 gigs, then I would want to purchase the 120 gig iPod Classic since it's less than $300 ($300+ seems too much for me). The iPod Nano has a tiny screen that's not good for viewing movies/videos, but it's pretty slim so I could slip it in my pocket. My final question is, which website would you recommend I purchase the iPod from? Obviously, buying from online is cheaper than purchasing directly from the store, so... yeah. Resolved Question: i am having iPod trouble...?

i have a brand new 80 GB iPod Classic (it is only a few months old) and i tried to play some music on it yesterday... it froze constantly, and only played about one song at a time before freezing... i restarted it countless times before giving up and putting it in my pocket. i was left bored with nothing but a sore thumb and silence to keep me company... also, it said that i only had about 350 MB of memory left (i've got a few videos, and 400 songs, so this was quite a shock.). i attributed it to my large podcast collection and made a mental note to delete some podcasts later that night... i came home and plugged it into my Windows Vista computer thinking that i'd be able to delete the podcasts, and go to bed with the problem solved. this was not the case, however. the computer said that the iPod was corrupted, and i needed to restore it to the factory default settings. so i tried this approach once, and when the restore process was done, a popup message came up and said the iPod was corrupted. i restored the iPod again, and again, and again, but to no avail. i then put the iPod on disc mode, and tried to manually delete every file and restore the iPod to its factory default. i tried multiple times, and each time i got as far as the "Computer" (this screen views drives plugged into the computer on Windows for all you Mac users...) screen before it stopped responding. i am usually pretty good with computers, but here, i am out of options. i would appreciate some help here. also, thanks for reading this. i know i am long winded at times... more

Apparently the 1st gen (the one I have now) is 3.5x 1.6 x.27 inches, and the 4th gen's screen is 2 inches. For comparison, what size was the 1st gen's screen and what are the dimensions of the 4th gen nano? I have a 8gb blac iPod video nano I got a couple days ago last year after christmas. I've kept it in a case, it's never gotten wet, and i didn't drop it. It worked fine a couple days ago. I just bought an iPod Touch recently. I really liked it, but I was under the impression that the screen is non-breakable. For some reason I got a scratch into it though. Well as I did with my old phones, I was trying to be smart thinking since I have 1 year Warranty on it, I would just call apple and tell them that something technical was wrong with it. Resolved Question: Is my iPod fixable? Or is it time to get a new one?

I'm pretty sure i have a first gen apple iPod video (30 gb). It's extremely slow (it takes a couple minutes to turn on/off sometimes and longer than it should to change screens.) It has a break in the screen right across the middle - not a physical break but almost... like on the inside. Sometimes it freezes up and it's battery, even if i charge it for days, will only last for half an hour to an hour and a half at most. I have to keep a case on it because the top screen part will break apart from the back part if i drop and i don't have it. Or if i don't drop it for that matter. And despite all of this I really like my old iPod. I call it Stuart. But really? Is it time for Stuart to go? more

Resolved Question: iTunes/iPod conversion to DVD?

I've purchased and downloaded numerous television shows from iTunes and have them on my iPod and iPhone. I also have a cable that connects my iPod to the television via the audio/video connection so I can play the show on the TV from the iPod. I'd like to record these on DVDs, but don't know how. My computer will only convert them to data DVDs and gives a warning that the disc will not play in a DVD player. Does anyone have any suggestions? My computer's hard drive is getting packed, but I don't want to delete these things I've purchased in case something were to happen to the iPods. Help, please! more

I have an ihome from 2006. I wanted to know how can I play an ipod touch in the ihome. When I got my ihome, I also got three small cases. These cases vary the size of the opening for the ipods. You see an ipod mini is a lot thicker than an ipod video, so it needs a larger opening. Anyway if I buy an ipod touch, is there like a case I can buy to vary the opening? Voting Question: I dropped my 30GB iPod video, now it will not work. What should I do?

Today I accidentally dropped my iPod video about 3 feet onto a concrete floor, but it had a rubber case around it, so it did not scratch. Then when I tried to furn it on, it wouldn't, so I tried the reset thing, and holding the menu and center button. But it's just a faded apple logo, and it makes a noise like it's trying to turn on, but then it makes a noise and the apple goes away. It keeps doing this and wont stop. I plugged it into my computer, but it still keeps trying to turn on, and doesn't' show up as being plugged into the computer. I have dropped it a couple of other times, and it still worked. What should I do??? i dont have a warranty more

I have kept the clear sheet on that it came with, but it's getting really scratched up. If I take the clear cover off will the screen scratch? Resolved Question: Why has my itunes and ipod gone weird?

I have itunes version 8.0.1, and when I opened my itunes library before, the whole library has mixed itself up. It used to be in order, by artists name. I have not touched anything, does anyone know why it has done this and how to change it back? Also, while I am here, I want to take the time to ask something else about my itunes. You see, my artwork used to come up fine on my ipod (My ipod is a 4GB nano, 3rd gen, just in case you need to know this,) when I first got it, and my artwork is still there in my itunes. But the problem is, almost all of my artwork for the albums are not showing up on my ipod...my uncle said this was because the itunes program may have clashed with my windows vista when it updates, but he wasn't entirely sure. Does anyone know how to fix this? Another problem is with my music videos. Again, like the artwork, they are there in my itunes. When I go on my ipod, then go to videos, and then music videos, it says "no videos". Does this have the same reason as the artwork? There is no problems with any of the videos, or the songs, just the fact that the artwork and music videos are not showing up on the ipod. It has done this for a while, but I haven't had the time to do anything about it. It would be of great help to me if anyone knew how to sort my problems out, it's just that having no artwork on my ipod is annoying me, and the fact that I can't watch the videos on the go when that's exactly what I've bought them for. Hi everyone. I bought a new ipod video 30GB about 4-5 months ago and just yesterday I dropped it while getting out of the car. It was in a plastic case and dropped to concrete roughly about 5 feet. Now I can turn it on, it's just none of the buttons work except for the hold button. I tried restoring it, holding the center and menu button, and it doesnt help.
