Voting Question: My iTunes Library got deleted after reformat...need help how to get it back?

Hey guys, So my pc had a virus once and so I had to reformat it. All my files were removed, including all my mp3 which I had placed inside my iTunes library. Any ideas on how to get it back? I still have all the songs on my ipod, its just that when I try to sync it the option is for me to erase the whole content of the ipod which I, of course, do not want. The same is true with my videos and pictures and applications. Is there still a way for me to get them back without having to re-download them? Cheers! more

Hey guys I've been using this program (free youtube to ipod converter 3.5.11.115) to download vids to my PSP now it was working fine but one day when I downloaded a video and put it on my PSP my PSP said unsupported data. Now when I download it for the Apple Ipod 5G it works but with BAD quality. Can someone please tell me whats going on with this program to fix it or something? Resolved Question: my ipod screen has a crack in it?

okay, a few days ago i was out with my friends when i pulled my ipod out of my pocket to listen to it, i dropped it and it landed with the top right hand corner hitting the stone floor first. as a result theirs a crack following from that corner to about half way down the other side. heres the info i was give and i just want to know what i can do about this. i just got it at xmas ( its the 5th gen nano, with the video cam) apparently you get a 1 yr warrenty with it when u buy it, not sure if its true tho i dont have the reciept i only have the booklet that came in the case with it, their was no warrenty pamphlet my friend told me they can still fix it though if its under warrenty, and they can figure this out due to some serial umbers on the back of hte actual ipod which indicates when it was made. so what can i do? should i take it to the actual apple shop ( i have one in town so i could take it there) should i take it tot he shop i bought the ipod from? should i just live witht he cracked screen? its not exactly that bad, its just a line and even at that i can still watch movies with it - its just a bit ''off putting'' anyways, any information on what i can do would be great !:) more

My dad's name is Will Schuester, and he's fourty-five. As I already told you, you idiot, he used to teach Spanish and glee club at William McKinley. Though, for a former Spanish teacher, his Spanish accent is pretty mediocre. People say he looks like Matthew Morrison, who's an actor or something. It wasn't often that I had people tell me I look like any celebrity, though in my opinion, Jessalyn Gilsig and me looked quite a bit alike. I definitely did not take after my dad, in looks or personality. Sometimes, I thought we weren't related. He and my mom got a divorce before I was even, like, born. After she had me, she dumped me on my dad, and I haven't seen her since. She didn't even bother to show up when he took her to court, giving him full custody. Parental abandonment, much? Well I plan to jailbreak my ipod and the youtube video says to backup everything in case I need to restore. First of all can I back up to my computer somewhere? I do not have a disc or flash drive or external drive or anything. MORE IMPORTANTLY- If I restore my ipod will it delete my entire Itunes because that is what he is implying. Resolved Question: Is there a free video converter for iPod Touch that retains the file size and preserves quality?

I recently bought an iPod Touch 8GB. I am new to Apple and it's products, however I have been using iTunes to manage my music for years now before I owned an iPod. As it turns out, all I've heard is true. The Apple iPod Touch (or iPhone for that matter) is a great product. I find the 8GB space in my iPod, rather limiting. All the movies that I own are around 700-900MB in size. Is there a free video converter that retains the “maximum possible video quality” for the iPod .mp4 format yet not alters the size of the file? A few 100MB change more or less isn't an issue. In fact it would be better if the space occupied video decreases yet preserving the video quality for 480x320 resolution (iPod video aspect size). At present I'm using "Xilisoft Video Converter 3.1.49 build-1207b". I found that after converting my 700MB video files, my video files bloat upto, atleast 1.13GB! I don't want this because eve at 700MB the .avi format retains greater amount of picture quality. Also the audio track in the video appears to be a second or two, AHEAD of the video! Long story short, can anybody please suggest me a good free video converter that works wonders for the iPod Touch/iPhone with minimum hassles, so as to avoid all the above mentioned problems? more

So, I recently bought Mr. Deeds off of itunes and after putting it on my ipod Nano, I found that it wouldn't play. I assumed the problem was that its filetype wasn't recognized. So, I tried to convert it and apparently its file type (M4V) can't be converted by most programs I know. Ok, so I have had an iPod Touch since July 16. And my only source of getting music is by my cousin putting music into my iPod. Both me and him LOVE metal, but its not the only kind of music i like. And I want to be able to put music into my iPod with songs of my choice, not his (even though his are not that bad, i just want to be able to have an option). But unfortunately, i can't. I will give you a list of reasons why i can't. 1)my cousin wont tell me his password to his itunes account since his is registered on my iPod and he thinks im gonna charge a lot of money to his account by buyings lots songs 2)there are 2 computers in my house that have tunes registered to my SISTER'S iPod and she claims that i cant get music that she ALREADY BOUGHT for her iPod and put it into mine because her tunes is registered for her only and i know that when you buy a song, it is saved in a library and you dont have to re-buy it. 3)I would like to create an itunes account, but i cant because i think you are required to have a credit card with your account and i cant do that because i have no source of earning money and my parents wont let me register an account off of their credit cards because i made a mistake one time on my xbox and i charged $60 worth of Microsoft Points. Yeah I made a mistake, but that doesnt mean im gonna do it again and they dont trust me. 4)my sister says that when you download itunes to a computer, it will only put songs onto 1 ipod that you assigned the itunes to put songs onto that ipod which i dont know is true. 5)my sister has to be a bitch and doesnt want me to use my iPod for the other computer because she just HAS to use both computers for her iPod when she only needs one. 6)I want to be able to put music into my iPod free of charge and not have to pay for songs one at a time and not have to pay a montly/yearly fee because again, my dad wont let me because you need a credit card. 7)I know Limewire gives free music for iPods, but i know that it gives viruses and it slows down your computer a lot and the 2 computers that i mentioned before are my mom and dad's and they use them for buisness shit and if they get a virus, they wont be able to use their computers. 8)i cant think of a website that can give you free music for an iPod that wont give my parents a virus because i dont know who to trust. 9)i was thinking about making a plan with my cousin by leting me have the password to his account and whenever i buy a song, video, etc, i will pay him the money that whatever i bought, IN CASH, but he doesnt want to do that for some reason. 10)I JUST WANT SOME MUSIC! Hi, I am about to venture into the world of portable entertainment, and I would like some advice on a good starter device. Want I want to do the most is put my mp3 collection of songs onto it. Ive been told I will need about 8GB to do that, I was also considering maybe putting a couple of movies on it. Would that be enough gigs to do that? I basically need it for music, but I'd also like it to have a camera and playback abilities, and possibly an FM radio, are my main wishes. Also, Ive been hearing that the Apple earbuds aren't much good, is this true, and should I invest in a better pair. My music has alot of bass and volume. As far as the video option goes, I'm only really interested if it doesnt add to much to the price, so its not essential. One more thing, do you have any links for retailers? Voting Question: Updating ipod software.. will I lose everything?

I am updating my 1st generation itouch to version 3.1.3 (in the check for updates area) I went to purchase in and when it was done downloading something popped up saying "updating to iphone 3.1.3 software will delete all music, videos, and photos on this ipod including iTunes store purchases. To preserve this media apply this update on the computer where you sync music, videos, and photos" Now it seems silly that everything would delete. I know people who update all the time and i doubt they have to re-add all their music? however I Dont have my library saved anywhere because that computer crashed so i really must know before doing it. If i install this update will everything actually be lost? Im looking for a true answer from someone who HAS DONE it because loosing everything would not be worth the update.
