Open Question: Why wont my songs go into my library on my iPod?

I just updated my software on a new computer because my old one broke and so I just got a 15 dollar itunes card and entered the code into my iPod and bought some songs and a video. After everything finished downloading I went to my songs to listen to my new songs and it crashed. So then I went to watched the new video and it crashed too. And my new songs aren't on there. my ipod died the other day so i plugged it into my computer as normal to turn it on & charge it.. however.. it popped up saying "ipod recovery mode" so i restored it to the factory setting.. it goes through the whole process successfully then it just loops back through the process? my ipod was working fairly decent.. the button at the top that locks & turns on/off the ipod was broken so usually id just charge it a little and it turned off when it died. recently it would mess up the volume or something but basically all of these things have gone away besides the broken button so i figured it was fine? idk if any of that would help.. but it played music and videos and such just fine! then randomly it did that perpetually in recover mode thing and i read various options online and tried some.. i tried to change the drive letter but my ipod does NOT pop up on the screen in order to change the letter? so i dont know what to do with that... then i heard that if you shut down itunes or unplug your itouch after you restored it and prevented it from restarting then it could possibly work.. i tried that and one time it DID turn on to the way the itouch was like when i first got it.. everything was available (music internet etc) but it quickly turned off? now im able to hold down the on/off button at times and the turn off screen pops up (the SLIDE TO POWER OFF part) once i click cancel the screen is the recovery loop except the battery life shows up like it normally would then my ipod just turns off? HELP PLEASE): i know thats long but im not sure how to reset my Itouch ): ive already reset it once as i said above and it got to the part where i could see the actual ipod.. but now its just stuck. Open Question: Which phone (phone advice)?

So, I’m torn between buying the HTC Aria and the iPhone 4!!!! I really want the iPhone. Let me just put that out there. I have wanted it for a long time now. I realize that it has reception issues when it is held in the lower left corner. That is not an issue for me though, I don’t even hold the phone there and I plan on getting the free case they are providing (for free). So, the reception thing is not why I’m unsure. The iPhone does not come with insurance. At all. The only other insurance options are too expensive and, frankly, not worth it. But, I really want the iPhone, for one, because I am going to school soon and it would be nice to use the FaceTime feature with my friends (including my best friend) who do not have Skype. Honestly, that is a huge reason as to why I want this phone. It is going to be very hard to be away from my best friend, as we have never this far apart form each other for so long and it’s to difficult and expensive for us to visit each other. Just seeing each other on holidays is not enough. The ONLY reason I have not yet just gotten this phone is because of the lack of insurance. That’s the ONLY reason. And I know the smart thing would to just get the HTC, but I really want the iPhone.... :S Some other reasons I want the iPhone is that I already know how to use it, it can replace my iPod Touch (which is slowly breaking on me), the large screen, the full HTML internet, and I just really like the overall phone (and I’m obsessed with Apple). Also, I really like that it takes HD videos, as I’m a youtuber and I don’t always want to have to bring my camera with me everywhere! I know that the HTC Aria is a really good phone and that HTC’s have a good rep so far, but I personally don’t like the size of it. It’s too small for my taste, as I have big hands haha (NOT man hands, they’re just larger than the norm :]). Also, I have no idea how to use it, and I know I will eventually, but it’s just annoying to have to take the time to learn how to use another phone all over again. I’m not a big fan of the size of the screen, but watcha gonna do… (Right now I have the first generation LG Vu. It sucks. Don’t buy an LG…they turn off buy themselves, don’t give you calls/texts, and freeze randomly.( So, my question to you is which phone do you think I should buy? Should I just get the iPhone? Or not? Okay, so last week i decided to jailbreak my iPod so i could download iMobilecinema and watch videos on my safari. I used 'blackrain' to jailbreak my iPod touch and i got cydia once the download had worked. BUT despite following all the steps, my imobilecinema doesn't work- that's not the problem though. My problem is that everytime i try to switch on my iPod, it comes up with an itunes symbol and a usb cord, asking me to connect my iPod to the computer. The only way i can get my iPod to work is by hooking it up to my laptop and re-running black rain, and then this only works until i switch the iPod off. Once its off, i have to repeat the whole process. HELP! i'm going away for 3 weeks in less than 7 days, and i NEED my iPod, but i won't have acess to a laptop/computer, so unless i can figure out a soulution, i have no use of my iPod whatsoever. I got 2 answers.. The first one was - You WILL lose all your song because iuts not your laptop The 2nd answer was - NO you Wont, it will just update it but it wont delete your songs (Helppp!!!!) I just got a new macbook, so I'm trying to transfer my entire 9GB (plus videos and apps) library over from my old pc. Resolved Question: Why won't my 5th Gen. iPod Video's touch wheel work?

I have a 5th Generation iPod video. I had it set up on my dock the night before last and had an alarm set to go off at 7:44 am. When I picked it up the next morning, the touch wheel would not respond. I can play the iPod still, as everything except the touch wheel works. I have tried toggling the hold switch and hooking it up to the computer (in case it was a software issue). I need my iPod quite frequently and I cannot listen to it at the volume level it was last set to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if it helps, I just recently sent it in for a broken clasp inside. We had done some self-repair to repair the headphone jack and my uncle broke the clasp which holds the battery cord in place. We sent it into an iPod rescue place and had it fixed, and a new battery installed, all be it back in March. more

My mom is such a b****, we have absolutely nothing in common. I look like my dad, think like my dad, and act like my dad. We're practically the same person. I hug him and kiss him and tell him I love him every day. Every time I see my dad I say "Daddy!" and I run up and hug him. But I can't remember the last time I hugged my mom or did any of that stuff. I hate her. She's always making me do stupid things that she's too lazy to do, like calling me from three floors up when I'm relaxing playing video games, like zoning out, to get the remote that's like 5 feet away. She recently broke her ankle by walking down a step. And she's screaming for pity. She's making me get things for her and yelling at me all the time. I seriously injured my ankle a while ago, and she did nothing for me and told me that I was faking and to suck it up. I'm in the normal-lower range of weight. I barely eat anything, like 800cal a day because I only eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. I "graze", I eat like 4 very small meals during the day. My mom screams at me if I eat something. Like if I go downstairs and plan to eat a slice of toast with jam she's like "WHAT ARE YOU EATING?!?! YOU EAT ALL THE TIME, YOU'RE GONNA GET FAT!!!" She sometimes even grabs the food out of my hand and throws it away. And then after something like that, 10 minutes later, she says "HI WANNA PLAY SCRABBLE?!" and I'm like "Uhm, no leave me alone." and then she accuses me of being snotty and punishes me. She's always obsessed with my looks, if something's not right about my appearance, she obsesses. My mom's friends are so nice to me, I wish they were my moms, I tell her what she does and they yell at my mom, my aunt does, too. My mom was once complaining to her friend about how awful I am to her, and her friend was like "What the hell did she even do? I've been here two days and she never did anything wrong. I'm not a bad kid, I'm nice to everyone but her because I don't give a damn about her, I hate her guts. I get all As and Bs in school, hang out with a good group of friends. I like to be alone a lot, I never cause mischief or ask for anything, and when I do she yells at me for asking. My dad says I'm fine, and he's even told her to lay off before. I barely have any clothes. My laptop is currently broken and i really, really, really need to update my ipod touch. I only need to add a few songs and videos to it, which i can get on my mums computer, but since my laptop is registered to my laptop, is there another way to update my ipod without totally erasing everything? I have a second gen. ipod touch. One day as I was charging it I noticed it was getting unusually hot. I unplugged it and tried to charge it again later. It wouldnt turn on no matter what I did. A few days later it decided to turn on, but it's gone crazy, the volume indicator keeps showing up going up and down, but the volume button wont work. I cant get online cuz it says "No Wi-Fi". All my Apps got deleted. The only thing I can use my ipod for is listen to music and watch videos, basically I paid for an ipod touch and now I have an ipod nano. I went to apple and they said all I could to is buy a new one, and I was like "WTF I PAID FOR A FREAKING IPOD TOUCH WHICH IS 200 AND SOMETHING BUCKS SO THAT IT BREAKS 2 YEARS LATER FOR NO REASON WHAT SO EVER" AND I RESTORED IT LIKE 4 TIMES ALREADY AND IT IS STILL THE SAME!! I lost my ipod nano 3rd gen recently... and I want to know where I can buy a new one... I really dislike the 4th and 5th gen nanos... don't like the tall look and don't like the fact I have to turn the screen to watch videos and the fact that the screen does turn.. etc... so I really just want a 3rd gen as that ipod is everything I need and nothing extra... although I don't seem to be able to find anywhere that sells them new... am I just screwed? Is there no good ipod left out there? Don't like the ipod videos as they are unecesarily huge... and the itouch I will easily have broken in less than a couple months... so yeh... just really need a new 3rd gen. Resolved Question: iPod broken, help please?

A few weeks ago, I dropped my iPod whilst walking outside. Unfortunately it was raining too :( I picked it up and wiped all the water off with my dry clothes. The music was still playing but the screen was frozen and the battery had gone right down. It wouldn't turn off but when the song finished all the music stopped and it was just the screen that was on. I left it over night and the next day it wouldn't turn on at all. I put it in my airing cupboard for a day, and when I tried to turn it on it came up with the apple sign. I looked at some youtube videos and lots of people suggested that putting it in a container of rice would help soak up any moisture. So I did this for about 4 days and now it seems to work fine except it won't charge (it comes up with a red X in a circle and I went on the apple site and the first step to solve this problem is to fully charge the iPod). Could I get it repaired? Or will I have to buy a new one? (I've had it over two years and the warranty doesn't cover water damage) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou :) xxx more

alright so i downloaded "CyDia" on my ipod touch 32gb right now is da "Verison" on iTunes 3.1.3 right now i am updating it now too 4.0 and i got Cydia and i downloaded it from some "Spirit - Jail Breaking and about 45 mins ago i just relized dat i found da program i hav now i do not got wifi right now but i heard on youtube you can wifi anywhere you want if you download "Wifi Radar" does it really work/and how?? can i also add a "Phone/Text/Camera/Appz just like da ones dat hav it on da iphones at - At&t - cause i use text free unlimted i got my own phone number it does (WORK) its really confusing and when i first opened da (Cydia App) it asked me if i wanna click on somthin about - Hacker -X ....... or like normal mode and i click Hacker i wanna be able 2 download appz without paying i already know how to download free music i just wonder if Cydia is gonna mess up my hole ipod and ...does it freeze and do you know any info about wifi anywhere on da ipod touch by download da "Wifi Radar" on "CyDia" and wat do i do can i keep Cydia... will everytang be normal just like i bought it??? and can i have a *Video Camera*??? plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help! more

I got an Ipod touch last Christmas so i'm pretty sure its a 3g but i'm not 100 percent sure. I watched a youtube video showing how to jailbreak it.I followed their instructions and downloaded the new version of redsn0w and since i have the ios 4 i also downloaded that update to my computer. So i extracted the files for redsnow i hit browse and i selected the downloaded file. Then redsn0w said that it was unable to recognize the specific ipsw. I re-downloaded red snow and those ios updates and i'm still getting the same message what can i do to get it jail broken.What other programs can i use that might work.My iPod was not at all affected by the process at all. So there is no evidence of tampering.So please don't waste my time with ignorant incorrect answers thank you very much. more
