Kay so what I have so far is: "Today, most of us have iPods or MP3 players instead of CDs. iPods have drastically impacted the entertainment industry. They're convenient, portable, and overall just don't come with the hassle of traditional CD players. Everything can be purchased and downloaded on the Internet. CD's can only play about 15 normal length songs. An iPod or MP3 can hold many different artists and a large variety of songs. This is very useful because when we want to listen to another song, we can go to a menu and select the song or new artist. With a CD and CD player, people would have to change out the CD and click "fast forward" to get to a certain song. An iPod and MP3 also might have the feature to play videos and games. There is more entertainment on iPods and MP3 players than a CD player. However, now that people have iPods, CD sales are dropping, because they buy music off the Internet or go to one of those free music sharing sites. Also, selling CDs with 15 songs for $15 might be in the past, because some companies and labels might have to keep focusing on single song sales for $1. This effect will definitely hurt music sales because if more people want single songs, but not the whole album, then sooner or later, no one is going to want CD's that much, anymore. CDs are now becoming obsolete. The number of people that buy CD's and listen to the radio are down. Music sales are decreasing. Another thing, I'd like to talk about is pirating. Now, "what is pirating?" you might ask. Pirating is when people take new or old songs that aren't out yet and put them on those music sharing sites or something. This too, is affecting the CD industry and music sales. Because you have to BUY albums, people would rather use a sharing site. Or they may want to discover or sample music, but do it at no cost, so to them the most straight-forward way of doing this, is through file sharing networks. Music artists get 1 to 10% of the total music sales, while labels are filling their pockets, which may also be another reason why people use sharing networks. Sites where consumers have instant access to music are the future. The Internet has freed music so people can get it without paying. Copyright is the only barrier that stands between music artists and fans. These facts have shown that CDs are no longer needed. It is still nice to have them, because people can upload them onto computers and have them put on iPods for their entertainment but people don't crave them because of the developed Internet. Since illegal downloads have been discovered, there is no stopping people from getting free music and listening to it at no cost." I've got a 32GB, 3rd gen ipod touch. If I upgrade to a new 64GB ipod touch, what stuff will I be able to transfer over (for free, without having to pay for software for that)? 1) settings? 2) Data? 3) Paid shareware apps (without having to repurchase them)? Is it as simple as docking my new ipod touch and syncing everything? When I switch to a new computer with Itunes, can I just plug in my ipod touch to sync what's on there onto the new PC? Does one ever have to worry about maintaining their purchases on iTunes like one would for PC products? For example, if you buy commercial software for PC, it's typically up to the consumer to keep his CDs safe from breakage and not lose his CD/install Key. Resolved Question: Why is my 8GB iPod not holding much at all?!?

A few weeks ago, I went to play my iPod in my car only to find that ALL the songs were deleted. I have no idea why. Now, I'm looking on iTunes and it says 4.01 GB for Audio. 3.37 for Other and 22.7 MB for Free. I have no pictures, games (except the three it came with) movies, videos, music videos, nothing. It's strictly music/audio. Why is so much being taken up by OTHER if all I have i music? I realize that some of it is for folders and settings, but it should not be close to half of the storage on there!!! I'm getting frustrated with this iPod. It's a red iPod Nano. 8 GB. Resolved Question: iPod Touch or Xbox 360 Elite?

Well, I have a PS3 Slim and a Nintendo Wii and that is it, I was thinking about adding another Console or Handheld to my collection. It is either the 32GB iPod Touch or the Xbox 360 Elite. As you know pricing is not the issue because they both cost $299.99. I do not know which one to buy because if I am going to buy the Xbox 360, then I am afraid to have too many consoles. I do not like shooting games at all, so please do not mention anything that has to do with that. The only Xbox 360 Exclusive that I like is Forza Motorsport 3. Also, the reason why I would like to buy the Xbox 360 Elite is because of Xbox Live and the Marketplace that is available on there. I heard that it is very good and ten times better than PlayStation Network. I also have a lot of friends that I can play with on Xbox Live. But one thing that does bother me about the Xbox 360 is that it has the Red Ring of Death. Now, I know that the New Xbox 360 Consoles do not get it as much as the Old ones did, but of course there is always a chance that it might happen. Plus, I am not the kind of person that plays video games 24/7 so I do not have to worry about the Red Ring of Death as much as it really is a terrible thing. Also, if I do get the Red Ring of Death on the Xbox 360, then will Xbox send me a new one or do I have to pay for a new one? Will they fix it for free, or do I have to pay $100 to fix it? Now, back to the iPod Touch. Again, if I do buy the iPod Touch, I will buy 32GB because I will use more than 8GB but definitely not less than 8GB which is the reason why I am going to buy 32GB because 8GB is too small and 64GB is too big. Also, one thing that I do hate about the iPod Touch is that two cousins of mine have had it, and it didn't break from falling, it broke because it had a hardware problem and when ever they would try too turn it on, it just will not turn on and when they charge it, it doesn't charge. So, I hate the iPod Touch because it has many problems and if I am going to waste all of my money on applications and games, and then one year or maybe two years later the iPod Touch gets messed up, I could have wasted that money that I would have spent on games and applications on something else. I asked my parents if I could buy the iPhone 3GS instead of the iPod Touch because it has a phone and a camera, and they said no, so that is why I am stuck with the iPod Touch. I am going to list you some Pros. and Cons. on each system. Xbox 360 Pros. 1. Xbox Live is Amazing 2. Forza Motorsport 3 which I personally think is one of the best racing games out there 3. I have a lot of friends that I can play with on Xbox Live 4. Good Marketplace 5. I can play Old Xbox Games on it Cons. 1. Red Ring of Death 2. I have a PlayStation 3 and a Nintendo Wii 3. The Xbox 360 has the same games as my PlayStation 3 besides Forza Motorsport 3 4. It might be a waste of money because I currently have two other consoles iPod Touch Pros. 1. Music 2. Internet 3. Applications 4. I can do a lot of fun and cool things with the iPod Touch 5. 32GB Cons. 1. Easy too break 2. Both of my cousins had it and it broke because of a hardware problem and they took care of it 3. iPhone is better Quality 4. Might be a waste of money if it is going to break So, I listed some Pros. and Cons. about each system for you. I know that some of you people are going to say that you have an iPod Touch and that it is amazing and does not break, but you guys might be one of the lucky people because some peoples iPod Touch's break. I also know that some of you are going to say that it depends if you want a handheld or another game console and I do not want that as an answer please. On top of everything, I would rather have an iPhone 3GS but these are my other two options. Again, I have a PS3 and a Nintendo Wii. ive used both fora short peroid of time and i like both of them but i noticed a few things, crrect me if im wrong -the touch seemed to have a better interface -the touch also seemed to have better games and apps -the archos looked like it had better resolution - the internet on the archos seemed faster, however the internet interface seemed alittle more cumbersome as with alot of the other apps obviously there are certain things i want from this device though, i pretty much want to do things that i could normally do on my computer, also if i did get an ipod touch i dont -streaming videos, like flash ones is VERY important to me - also i would like to download some videos or other programs , hopefully with out the need of pesky converters - i also enjoy playing flash games so thats decently important, especailly if the free media and apps arent too good on the device - i dont wanna have to pay for itunes, so i would probably use limewire or something - and i do want a decent music player so what do u think i should get with those specifications, thanks alot! :) more

Ok so today I got an ipod nano. I already had a clone of it called an mp4 (which I now say is a hella lot fvck!ng better then this ipod piece of shit, because of the prices) I wasn't really excited when I got the ipod, but the ipod has thousands of apps for games and stuff and it's all handy, I was so glad I could put apps and stuff onto my real ipod, or so I thought. To EVERYBODIES DISAPPOINTMENT there's like 15 apps for the nano and two of which are a dollar and everything else is 5, what a rip off considering the fact that the touch has so many awesome and free apps. So Apple ripped me off big time and I am not sure if my grandparents can get a refund for this. Apple is an overrated over priced load of shit that just wants money and doesn't care about the people. They think that they can own your software even after you bought it. Apple is taking advantage of the new nano that takes video (woop de do so does my cell phone and camera that are just as small!!) You buy your ipod, go to get apps and games because itunes is advertised as 10,000 + apps for YOUR ipod. Uh huh... What a load of disappointing crap! Well that mac I wanted is no longer on the list of needs/wants I can deal with windows freezing and crashing with it's software (even though it's really freaking annoying causing me to fail projects at school because I can't get the software for them to work! *cough* *cough* windows movie maker *cough*) So anyway now I got this overpriced piece of sh!# that well, is there any software that can manipulate a nano and give it more features then it already has? Im stressing over what i should get. i really like both, but i jsut cant think straight. I like how you can play real better games on the PSP and watch high quality videos on it, i would not be getting it for the music part. But with the itouch, you can listen to music, watch movie jsut as good, the internet is way better, and i really like using the internet and facebook. the itouch has a lot of apps, its more portable, and games that can entertain you almost as well as the psp. But the problem is that i dont know. The psp looks really fun to use, but i would basically be using it for movies and games and i can get it for $75 dollars from a friend and free games cause i have friends. With the itouch it would cost me $125 dollars more and again i can get apps for free cause i have friends, but i can do a lot more with it, unfortunately i have and ipod nano 4generation and it would suck to see it to go to a waste, unless i sell it and thats not going well.
