Resolved Question: Why wont my fm transmitter work!?! its frustrating! help?

I have an ipod video 30GB 5th Gen and just bought a new Itrip Auto 2007 model, when I plug it into the car the itrip screen turns on and eveything. I went through all the frequences possible. Still doesnt work. So bought one from Canadian tire today that has 4 frequences in th 88. range still nothing. Please help!! more

Voting Question: I think my iTrip may have messed up my iPod Touch.?

My iPod worked perfectly up until a week or two after using an iTrip with it. I think from putting it on and taking it off so much it damaged it to where it wont work. Just to list some of the things that wont work: 1.) No audio: its a second gen ipod touch and it wont play through the speakers, OR headphones OR dock with speakers. 2.) No videos: they load for a second and then exit out. 3.) Keyboard sticks and lags: whenever I'm typing something the first couple of letters will get through fine but then the key sticks for like 5-10 seconds. I have tried everything, resetting settings, resetting it to factory condition and nothing. The reason I believe its the iTrip causing the problem is because videos will play fine ONLY IF it is connected. more

okay, so i have a 30gb ipod video and i'm not sure what the connector thing is called so that i can listen to ipod in my car stereo.it's not the itrip, i dont think , but it's like you plug it into something and you put the car radio on a certain station plug the other end of the wire into the ipod and your music plays throughout the car. does anyone know what it's called>??!! more

My 27 year old fiance (female) is graduating from college. I am unsure whether to get her an ipod or Wii for graduation. We play a lot of video games together (xbox 360 and nintendo ds). We love Mario Kart on nintendo DS and a lot of games on 360. However she has never had an ipod and has no stereo in her car. So, its me and my boyfriend's one year anniversary this saturday. And i couldnt think of anythingg to get him, until i remembered that hes wanted an iTrip (you know, the thing that plays songs on his ipod through his car radio) for such a long time, so I got it for him. But then yesterday he went to the mall and bought it himself, because he just got a paycheck from work and finally has enough money for it. So i'm stumped and i have no idea what to get him. he has like, everything. He loves playing sports, and he loves playing guitar and video games. but he has like, every video game there is, and i dont trust myself enough to pick out something having to do with guitars. I had an older generation iPod for the past three years. Not sure what the GB was, but I know there was one higher and one lower for the regular iPod and I had the lower one. This was the generation right before the color. Anyway, it recently got stolen and I'm going to get a new one, but I'm not sure what to get. I really liked my ipod, but I'm wondering if there is anything better or whatnot. I need it to play through my car (I had an iTrip for this before) and carry a good amount of songs. I'm pretty good with technology so it doesn't need to be oversimplified, but I don't think I could deal with something that's all that complicated. I like the idea of the videos on the new iPods but it's not crucial. Any other brands or anything that you prefer?But I need something to play it in my car, so I also need one with fairly cheap accessories. more

I have a 5th generation Video iPod, and the only iTrips I can find online all go through the dock connector. Are there any out there for Video iPods that go where the headphones go? Resolved Question: No sound from Ipod.?

My 30 gig video iPod seems to be working marvelously, however there is no sound. I've tried two different kinds of headphones AND my iTrip, so the problem has to be internal and not with either of those connections. Sometimes it plays, but there doesn't seem to be any tricks (i.e. banging it around) that get it to work; it just decides on its own. I bought my first iPod 13 months ago and had problems with it a few months into it and had it replaced via the Apple warranty. But those theives still consider my original purchase date when it comes to my warranty (or lack-there-of) and won't replace this one even though it's only about seven months old. I've reset and restored it, so that won't help either. I'm pretty sure I'm screwed but just wanted to commiserate with anyone that might have had the same problem. Any suggestions for an Mp3 player that will work longer than 183 days? more

My first itrip broke so I got a new one. I have 3G non-video 60G iPod. It worked briefly, but now I cannot get it to transmit. I have followed all the retuning instructions exactly and even though there is a constant red light I cannot hear anything. Can anyone help? more
