Open Question: HELP! my jailbroken iPod is completley broken!?

Okay, so last week i decided to jailbreak my iPod so i could download iMobilecinema and watch videos on my safari. I used 'blackrain' to jailbreak my iPod touch and i got cydia once the download had worked. BUT despite following all the steps, my imobilecinema doesn't work- that's not the problem though. My problem is that everytime i try to switch on my iPod, it comes up with an itunes symbol and a usb cord, asking me to connect my iPod to the computer. The only way i can get my iPod to work is by hooking it up to my laptop and re-running black rain, and then this only works until i switch the iPod off. Once its off, i have to repeat the whole process. HELP! i'm going away for 3 weeks in less than 7 days, and i NEED my iPod, but i won't have acess to a laptop/computer, so unless i can figure out a soulution, i have no use of my iPod whatsoever. I really need some guidance! Thankyou. more

I got 2 answers.. The first one was - You WILL lose all your song because iuts not your laptop The 2nd answer was - NO you Wont, it will just update it but it wont delete your songs (Helppp!!!!) right, my ipod nano has sort of frozen on me, i can swurl around with the menu, skip forward and skip back, and pause, i can swurl around with dat but it just goes up and down, but when it comes to clicking on videos or music or anything, it doesn't work ..its not really frozen because it has movment, but the center button isn't working and it isn't turning off, and ive tried hooking it up to the laptop but it just brought me back to the menu with the same problem on the ipod? what should i do? what do you think is wrong? and is it broken? its my moms..and i dont wanna go down stairs 2 her 2 say its broken..lol shes n a bad enough mood 2day :(..please help thanks more

I just got a new macbook, so I'm trying to transfer my entire 9GB (plus videos and apps) library over from my old pc. I have an ipod touch, so I need to figure out how to get all my videos and apps too. I keep reading all these confusing guides and seeing softwares I can buy, but I'm not sure which is the best way for going from pc to mac for touches. Also, my pc refuses to consolidate my itunes library. No matter how many times I check the little box, it just ignores me and unchecks it. Grrr... Resolved Question: Why won't my 5th Gen. iPod Video's touch wheel work?

I have a 5th Generation iPod video. I had it set up on my dock the night before last and had an alarm set to go off at 7:44 am. When I picked it up the next morning, the touch wheel would not respond. I can play the iPod still, as everything except the touch wheel works. I have tried toggling the hold switch and hooking it up to the computer (in case it was a software issue). I need my iPod quite frequently and I cannot listen to it at the volume level it was last set to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if it helps, I just recently sent it in for a broken clasp inside. We had done some self-repair to repair the headphone jack and my uncle broke the clasp which holds the battery cord in place. We sent it into an iPod rescue place and had it fixed, and a new battery installed, all be it back in March. more

My mom is such a b****, we have absolutely nothing in common. I look like my dad, think like my dad, and act like my dad. We're practically the same person. I hug him and kiss him and tell him I love him every day. Every time I see my dad I say "Daddy!" and I run up and hug him. But I can't remember the last time I hugged my mom or did any of that stuff. I hate her. She's always making me do stupid things that she's too lazy to do, like calling me from three floors up when I'm relaxing playing video games, like zoning out, to get the remote that's like 5 feet away. She recently broke her ankle by walking down a step. And she's screaming for pity. She's making me get things for her and yelling at me all the time. I seriously injured my ankle a while ago, and she did nothing for me and told me that I was faking and to suck it up. I'm in the normal-lower range of weight. I barely eat anything, like 800cal a day because I only eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. I "graze", I eat like 4 very small meals during the day. My mom screams at me if I eat something. Like if I go downstairs and plan to eat a slice of toast with jam she's like "WHAT ARE YOU EATING?!?! YOU EAT ALL THE TIME, YOU'RE GONNA GET FAT!!!" She sometimes even grabs the food out of my hand and throws it away. And then after something like that, 10 minutes later, she says "HI WANNA PLAY SCRABBLE?!" and I'm like "Uhm, no leave me alone." and then she accuses me of being snotty and punishes me. She's always obsessed with my looks, if something's not right about my appearance, she obsesses. My mom's friends are so nice to me, I wish they were my moms, I tell her what she does and they yell at my mom, my aunt does, too. My mom was once complaining to her friend about how awful I am to her, and her friend was like "What the hell did she even do? I've been here two days and she never did anything wrong. I'm not a bad kid, I'm nice to everyone but her because I don't give a damn about her, I hate her guts. I get all As and Bs in school, hang out with a good group of friends. I like to be alone a lot, I never cause mischief or ask for anything, and when I do she yells at me for asking. My dad says I'm fine, and he's even told her to lay off before. I barely have any clothes. She buys me like 3 shirts a year...I have to wear clothes two times before I put it in the washing machine....She always tries to start conversations with me at the worst times, like when I'm listening to my iPod... A few weeks ago, I dropped my iPod whilst walking outside. Unfortunately it was raining too :( I picked it up and wiped all the water off with my dry clothes. The music was still playing but the screen was frozen and the battery had gone right down. It wouldn't turn off but when the song finished all the music stopped and it was just the screen that was on. I left it over night and the next day it wouldn't turn on at all. I put it in my airing cupboard for a day, and when I tried to turn it on it came up with the apple sign. I looked at some youtube videos and lots of people suggested that putting it in a container of rice would help soak up any moisture. So I did this for about 4 days and now it seems to work fine except it won't charge (it comes up with a red X in a circle and I went on the apple site and the first step to solve this problem is to fully charge the iPod). Could I get it repaired? Or will I have to buy a new one? (I've had it over two years and the warranty doesn't cover water damage) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou :) xxx more

I got an Ipod touch last Christmas so i'm pretty sure its a 3g but i'm not 100 percent sure. I watched a youtube video showing how to jailbreak it.I followed their instructions and downloaded the new version of redsn0w and since i have the ios 4 i also downloaded that update to my computer. So i extracted the files for redsnow i hit browse and i selected the downloaded file. Then redsn0w said that it was unable to recognize the specific ipsw. I re-downloaded red snow and those ios updates and i'm still getting the same message what can i do to get it jail broken.What other programs can i use that might work.My iPod was not at all affected by the process at all. I plugged in my iPod to the latest version of iTunes because it had the message alerting me to restore it. I restored it and then it would have the message that it was syncing all my songs but put up a message that the "file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." Lately when I have been watching shows on my iPod and I try to fast forward, it keeps playing the video normally and doesn't register that I'm pressing that button until about 8 seconds have passed...so then it goes back to normal and I can skip ahead easily but it always slows down the first time. It's kind of hard to explain. My iPod has been through some rough times...I don't have a case for it :( So do you think that it's broken and I can't reprogram it or whatever? I don't know how to fix the problem. I was entering a video and right after I clicked on it I pressed the menu button, and now whenever I hit the safari app, it's just a black screen. And I would prefer not to send it in because it was an "adult" video...No dumb ass I've watched videos on it before it wasn't a flash player video.Thanks it worked I really appreciate it. more

Resolved Question: HELP!!! Is Media Converter Legal?

My friend showed me this site called mediaconverter.org or .com I forgot but it lets you download videos posted on youtube and put them on your ipod but I don't know if its legal or not and i asked my friend but she doesn't know either and you are only aloud to download 5 things a day or you can get an account for money but I really don't wanna break the law! and media converter hasn't gotten sued so..... is it legal? Resolved Question: Bringing camera's into a concert?

Okay, so got 3 lady gaga tickets to the Tacoma Dome on August 21st!! But it says: "no cameras/video/recording." I still want to bring my ipod touch to record it.. But I'm afraid I'll get caught and get kicked out of the concert.. Sooo.. Will I?! I don't care about breaking the rules, as long as I don't get caught. And do they also search you for camera's and stuff?? more

Voting Question: Which do you think would be better, an ipod touch or an ipod nano 4?

My old ipod, the nano 3, is already out of room (It's a simple 4GB) So I'd like a new, larger spaced Ipod. I like the ipod touch because of games and internet capabitilies, but it's rather large and I'm really afraid of breaking the screen (I dropped my nano on the tile floor when I first got it about 4 years ago and there are chips in the edges D: ) and plus it's kind of expensive.. 200$ for an 8gb. (Will 8gb be enough? I don't want movies or shows or anything..) I like the nano for radio and the fact that it's so small, but if I want to watch a video, I'm worried the screen will be way too small. Could you please tell me your experiences with both so I can decide?I mean't ipod nano 5, I have the ipod nano four then xD more
