About a year ago my laptop that holds my music broke. So I was wondering if how do I update my music onto my ipod from itunes on a different computer without deleting the music and videos that are already on there? In case it matters I have a 30G video ipod. Thanks for any help! more

i have a 5th generation 30g ipod video and want to get an ipod touch. i want to sell my old ipod but dont know how much to ask for it. i want to get the most possible but i have had it for 2 years so i know it wont be worth that much. it has small surface scratches on the back and scratch on the front screen from where my friend dropped it. other than that it works well. how much would you pay for it, a usb hookup, and a case? more

I am so disappointed because my iPod is going out of style; there are less accessories, they aren't being sold anymore, and basically, they are "old technology." I have the 30G video, and I was looking for a case the other day. When I asked the guy, he was like "oh we don't sell those anymore." i was really pissed because I like my iPod but it is old and is old technology, its all scratched up, and I can't find a case for it. So I was thinking about looking for a new one- I don't want to go crazy because I am convinced Apple will come up with a new idea, but I would like to look at some. I really like the black video nano, and also the touch, but the touch is super expensive and the nano doesn't hold that much video... any ideas? thank you soooo much. more

i bought the thing brand new and already the battery isn't holding the same charge it used to. i can't watch 2hrs of video without plugging it in. i want to get a better battery with longer charge. i'd even consider getting a replacement backing to my ipod so that a better battery would fit. i know the case accessory i use has a rubber piece that slides in so the 30g fits snug but the 60g fits without the rubber peice more

Resolved Question: Why I can't see some songs in my 30G video Ipod if I search via artist, but I can see them searching via song?

Hi. This is an Ipod question. I load my iTunes library in 2 Ipods,the new 30G video and in the old 20G photo. Why is it that in the 20G Ipod when I search for the songs via artist, all of them appear, but when I search via artist in the 30G Ipod in some cases it only appears one song, and all the others dont, although they are there, cause when I search via song I find them. This is very annoying, cause I hate to search via song. The songs are perfectly edited, the probe is that with the 20G photo Ipod I dont have this problem. I think is a problem with the Ipod cause I been having this problem with 3 different 30 G Ipod video (Mine & my friends). Does anyone has had the same problem? more

Okay, i have a question, i'm confident i know the answer, but just in case i would like to make sure. I have the iPod Video (5th gen.)(30G) and i had a headphone problem I managed to fix the headphone jack, and i had another problem, and this time, i managed to fix it again, but to my horror, i found that i accidently pulled out the copper wire (that connects directlty to the logic board). I tried to put it back in, but i cannnot get the latch to hang on to the wire am i doing something wrongor have i damaged the latch (or the wire)? more

Resolved Question: It hurts when I use my iPod... any ideas as to why?

Ok... I know it sounds weird and I know people are going to think i'm joking, but its true. Everytime I turn on my iPod to listen to music or watch videos, I have a sharp but subtle pain in my lower abdomen. I have no idea why. Does this happen to anyone alse? Or do you have any idea why this happens? I work at a hospital and I asked some of the doctors in our staff about it, and none of them have ever heard of this case. Any input would be great, thanks. Something to also note is that it only happens with the 30G iPod and not the shuffle or the nano. This leads me to guess that it might have something to do with the 30G's hardrive. (shuffles and nanos have flash memory instead).And believe me... its not in my head! I know pain when I feel it :-) This also happened with my old 20G iPod that did not have a color screen.lol, and my music is great... thats why its so hard to stop using it... the iPod is almost my favorite posession :-( next to my iBook :-) more
