i want to upgrade the hard drive in my 30GB ipod video (5.5G) to an 80gb hard drive. but this would require me to have the thicker case that comes with the 80gb ipod. where can i buy one? I've got a 60gb video ipod, and its abit scratched now :( just wondering if or where i could buy a new case from ?? where all i seem to be able to find is covers to go over the top of my case !! Well I just got a Belkin Remix Metal case for my 3rd Gen iPod Nano Video, and there are no instruction as to how to put the iPod into the case. I believe you are supposed to pop out the metal part but I'm afraid that if you are not supposed to it will bend and maybe break. Please help, thanks. more

About three months ago I bought a new battery and metal shell for my ipod mini (got the new case cause the original was pretty beat up, and I tried painting it). After I installed the new battery and put it all back together in the new case, the click wheel stopped working (I think it might be the ribbon cable). I then decided to cut my losses and buy a new 30 gig video. I love my new ipod, but now I have a, potentially, great ipod mini sitting in my room. Does anyone know of any good websites (other than ebay) where I could either sell the parts individually, or the ipod as a whole? more

I have a white, 30 GB iPod Video...it still has the original box and CD with all the wires and manuals. It is one years old. Its condition is good probably one or two light scratches on the metal back...no big deal...and the screen is good too...it aklso has about one or two scuffs...but this thing is in good shape...not dirty at all and nothing is broken. I am also throwing in a plastic kick stand case so you can watch your movies on a flat surface without holding it upright. How much should it be? I am going to buy a ZVUE and a 2GB SD card with the money and I still would like to have maybe 30 dollars left over. The ZVUE is 80.00 and the SD is about 30. more

I received a black 30GB iPod Video for Christmas. It's starting to get some small scuffs and scratches. I want to buy a clear, hard case for it. I am thinking about either the Belkin Brushed Metal/Acrylic case or the Agent 18 VideoShield. I want something that won't scratch the iPod and won't allow too much dust to enter and scratch it. I also want something that will protect the screen and allow access to hold switch/headphone jack/ scroll wheel/docking port. I also don't want to add too much weight or change the dimensions of the iPod too much. Which case do you recommend? If you know of another good clear case feel free to mention it. Resolved Question: Where can I repair my iPod?

I dropped my iPod from quite a height and now it wont work. I've even managed to bend a corner of the metal casing. It also now rattles inside. I imagine that I would have broken the hard drive too. Is there anywhere I can get it repaired or should I just buy a new one? It's one of the first video iPods that came out (G5). Thanks more

My blue iPod mini was damaged, so I thought of buying a new one. I was really attracted to the iPod mini because it has thos stylish color. Since mine is not working anymore, I thought of buying a new one, as I said. I thought of buying an green 8GB iPod nano of the 2G models(2nd generation). Unfortunately, I found out that the only color available of the 2nd generation 8GB model is black. They didn't produce any green 8GB 2G iPod nano. Now, I was thinking of buying an iPod video instead. But, it was too wide. I was thinking if Apple would produce an iPod, with stylish color just like the new iPod nano& iPod mini, capable of storing videos &photos, with the size of the iPod nano, about 20-30GB, with metal casing. EVERYONE WOULD PROBABLY LOVE THAT. Now, back with the main question:: WILL APPLE PRODUCE A NEW, AND BETTER IPOD NEXT YEAR[2007]? more
