okay so i got a brand new ipod nano video from someone.. it was still in the package and everything and im 100% positive that it had never been used. it wont turn on, it just doesnt do anything. i tried holding down the middle and menu buttons for 30 seconds and it didnt work. when i try to charge it on my computer, it goes to the screen with the apple on it for like 5 seconds then turns off, then goes back to the screen and turns back off again and keeps doing that. my itunes or computer doesnt recognize it as even being plugged in. for some reason it worked one time, and i was able to get all of my songs onto it, i dont know why it worked that time though, i didnt do anything different. but when i charge it on my docking station, it says that its charging and it goes on. but as soon as i take it off the docking station, it turns off and wont turn back on again. PLEASE help me , i really want it to work :( thank you sooo much to whoever answers. (please dont say "i dont know") more

I'm going to the maldives for 2 weeks so it will mostly be sunbathing and chilaxing! i've seen i can buy a 120GB classic for £175, a 8GB touch for £165, a 16GB touch for £214 and a 32GB touch for £282. i want to be able to listen to my music and watch films/tv programmes. Games would be nice but not really important. We will be taking our laptop with us so internet isnt essential. to be honest i probably won't use it too much at home just mostly for trips away (unless i get one of those docking stations) so what do you think is best for me. question - if i go for the classic, can i watch tv programmes and movies on it or is it just music videos? also what is the screen quality like as the screen is smaller than the touch. i have an 80 GB 6th. gen, ipod which works fines as far as putting songs,photos and videos BUT!! there is no audio coming out of the head phone jacks or dock station or car. i thought that the headphone jack was the problem so i replaced it with a new one, but no change.... still no sound i tried restoring it seveal times with itunes and via disk mode and no luck. if anyone knows the solution other than taking it to an apple store it would mean the world to me more

Okay, so I just got the new 8gb ipod nano chromatic for christmas. It did not come with a charger. Okay, so i unplugged my ipod from my computer, my computer took a while to shut off, but it didn't seem like a problem. So, I went to listen to it later and it will turn on onto the apple screen and then flash, make a noise and repeat until it dies. I know it was fully charged, because i always leave it in my docking station. I have tried putting it in my docking station and plugging it into the computer and both times it won't turn on all the way and jsut flashes and dies, so it won't read the ipod. I am not the original owner of this ipod, so i don't have the warranty information or anything. I went to apple tech support, but they have no address for this problem and i can't find one anywhere. Hi i used to have an ipod video until it broke and i used my docking station with speakers to play my ipod on. I also used the alarm feature and played my music as an alarm. I cant find it on the ipod touch. It seems as if i cant play music at all for an alarm. Is it possible?
