Open Question: Need help getting info about my sudden interest?

i've got a sudden interest in a few things but don't know where to start i guess ive been watching too many shows and movies but i want to try and see how well i can do this ive gotten an interest in programming (video games, programs, animation?, operating system, ipod apps, whatever u can program) , animation, inventing(i want to start making some useful things around the house for me sounds corny i know but i want to start making machines and stuff i can use) , and tech im still in high school but don't want to wait till i get out to start if i can learn in my spare time that would be great basically i would like to where i can start, get help later(like a forum), and someplace with all the info i would need (but simple would be nice i hate reading online so maybe a book available in canada) it would be nice if u could answer all of the above for each subject i know it will take years but i really want to try at least and it would be nice if the source had videos for each subject could u also list a really good program could u please give good places with everything i would need (but free) ive tried many other places with no luck finding exactly what i want sry about thegrammarrand learning commands for a windows wouldn't hurt more

Open Question: ipod to iTunes transfer program?

OK so i would like a completely free program to transfer my songs on my ipod to itunes but don't think that their is one. So I will settle with one that I will have to buy at Best Buy. The most important thing the program needs is the be able to transfer all my songs+artwork+ratings+all info. about the song, straight on to iTunes. Also in the program window it needs to be organized in the way that my music is NOT mixed in with podcast, video, games, ect. I have a fourth generation iPod Nano and I want to buy a iPod touch and I wouldn't need two iPods and I need the money. I was going to post on Craiglist that I want to sell this but I don't know how much I should charge for it. Like I said, it's a 4th generation, with 8 GBs. There is a couple little "dings" in it from where it has been dropped a few times. But the only way you can see them is if you up close and next to a light. The screen has no scratches. Lock button works. Clicker works. All the buttons works. All the features on the iPod work. Everything about it works perfectly. The iPod itself has the games Monopoly and 3 others on it, 6 videos (95.9 MB) of a variety (mostly comical, nothing of me or anything I made), No photos, 85.1 MB of "Other", and 989 songs (5.5 GBs). The songs are mostly Psychopathic (Ex: ICP, Boondox, Twiztid), Classic and 80's rock (Ex: Motley Crue, Telsa, Quiet Riot, Aerosmith), Underground Rap (Ex: Tech N9ne, Potluck, Kottenmouth Kings), Punk Rock (Ex: Green Day, (hed) PE, Lit) Comedy (Ex: Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy), and much more. But You can delete all that if you want. I'm also including the iPod cord (I'm not a d*ck). So how much should I charge for this? Please help Thanks(: more

My commute, is 15 to 25 Minutes depending on the traffic. I am in High School at the moment, my commute is by Car, with my brother, and My mum (the driver.) I live in a Medium size town in Queensland Australia. I leave anytime from 8:00 to 8:30 and arrive at anytime from 8:15 to 8:50 I Don't mind my commute cause I listen to music the whole time, or watch videos or play games on my iPod Touch. Yesterday, my husband and I came back early from a day drip because of the rain. We specifically told my kids that they had to stay home, and no friends could come over. They (17 and 13) were supposed to study for tests and babysit their (8 and 5) year old siblings. When we walked into the house, we found both of our older kids, with their friends over, and my little ones with them watching an R rated movie. When they heard us, they immediately changed the channel. My 13 year old isn't even allowed to see those, and he and his older brother know that. When I talked to them, they claimed they weren't watching the movie, even though the DVD box was on top of the player, and claimed that their friends being over to "study", which didn't happen. They completely lied and disobeyed! I grounded them for two weeks with no phone, ipod, computer, video games, etc. Is this a good punishment? Is it too harsh? Creative ideas?I told them that if they did well on their tests they can have their stuff back, but they would still be grounded. more

what do i do with it? i just baught and ipod touch with my christmas money like a month ago, i have a cell phone that is on a contract and i love my phone so getting a new phone isnt really an option, i have a nice bike, my granparents gave me their laptop and i have a puppy that has everything it needs and probably wants, she has a bunch of toys, too many treats, a nice doggy bed and i think putting animals in clothes is kinda mean plus my sister put a shirt off of her stuffed animal on her and she threw a fit. i have plenty of pretty clothes and im too young too drive and will get my parents car anyway. im not worried about college, really dont think ill end up going either. i dont no what to invest in, and i dont want to considering investments do fail sometimes and $500 dollars isnt that much money anyway. please dont tell me save it cause my parents dont trust banks and i dont have a good place to keep it. plus i would really like to have something to do sometimes. oh, and dont say video games. i just cant get into them.ooooh, and btw im a chick more

Maybe they are designing it right this instant. Because, things have been a little slow With apple lately, apart from Ipad and ipod, nothing new has gone to the Apple market. The biggest rivals are Microsoft and Sony, both of which have game console ranges. I think it is about time. Maybe, them making games for the ipod was sort of a hidden message to show what they could do with their games and see how the audience received than. Hope they will make a console. Should I buy a PSP Go. I already have a Ipod nano 5th Generation (the one with the video camera) but I am so sick of the Ipod and the Itunes hardware and software. I looked at the PSP Go and they are extreamely good for replacing the Ipod for music. I already have a PSP 3000 which I AM NOT SELLING because i like it. So i will have two PSP systems. I dont want to use the PSP go for any games I just want it for music and maybe a few minis. Help! I am struggling on whether I should choose an ipod touch, Ipod Nano or a netbook (samsung N130). Here are some positie and negative comments on whether I should get them. Also, I was thinking if I should get an ipod touch or an ipod nano as I already have a touchscreen phone which is a Samsung Tocco Lite. And if I get one of them (itouch and inano, well is there any use and point as I can still listen to music with my phone BUT I cant go to the internet as im on PayAsYouGo and the games are crap plus I cant download the coool apps in the itouch). H.E.L.P. Ipod touch because- *internet *thousands of cool apps *music obviously NOT ipod touch because- *when you go to the internet, the screen would be too small and most importantly it hasnt go Flash Player. Also say you want to watch a movie, the screen would be too small. So im thinking should i get a netbook?! *Plus it hasnt got a camera. If you saying why dont you just get an iphone instead, well I dont want an iphone because im too young plus i dont need it yet. Reasons Why The Xbox 360 Sucks: 1: The red ring of death. the xbox 360 has around a 54% failure rate. FAIL 2: Paying for online sucks, thats stupid your already paying for your own internet for your computer. 3: No wifi, ps3 has wifi, wii has wifi, ipod has wifi, laptop has wifi, but the 360 doesn't. you gotta go out and pay 100 bucks for a stupid wifi adaptor to play wireless. 4: 360 doesn't have any sort of hd or dvd blu ray player, i mean ps3's got blu ray built in, you have to go buy a 200 dollar HD-DvD separately, They where such a failure they don't even make them anymore. 5: The 360 may have a few more games than the ps3 but ps3 has better games, and the 360 has more but most of them suck, the 360 has: halo (that game is getting so old), gears of war, fable 2, and L4D, anything els? Nope. oh yah viva pinata but who cares about that game. 6: The 360 scratches your video games, epic fail. 7: AA batteries for the controllers is STUPID! Oh wait You can buy rechargeable packs for 30$. STUPID! 8: People say the PS3 costs alot more, well if you add all of the **** such as that crappy wifi adapter, and the rechargeable packs, it costs as much as the PS3! 9: The huge brick sized power supply, its stupid i mean the ps3 just has a cord. STUPID! 10: the 360's fan is the noisiest fan on the planet, it sounds like a chainsaw. literally! The PS3 has none of these problems, NONE Ps3 has much better games than the 360 the ps3 has blu ray which is amazing, online is free but sony is saying you have to pay for online but only for a premium stuff but it will be worth it. Best ps3 exclusives: Killzone 2, Infamous, Demons souls, metal gear solid 4 (the reason to own a ps3 if MGS4 Was on 360 it would take up 17 discs) Little big planet, uncharted 1 and 2, (these games won game of the year in 2007 and 2009), ninja gaiden sigma 1 and 2, God of war 3 (not out but i will be amazing) resistance 1 and 2 s, heavenly sword, warhawk, and so much more. the PS3 Has more power than the 360. imagine what grand theft auto 4 would have bin like if it was a PS3 exclusives. it would probably have: more things to do. A bigger world. better graphics. and just a whole tone of more stuff. if metal gear solid 4 was on the 360 it would take around 17 discs which is embarrassing. The only reason that the 360 has more sales is because it was around like 1 year and a half longer. 360 Is The Past PS3 IS FUTURE! FAIL 2: Paying for online sucks, thats stupid your already paying for your own internet for your computer. 3: No wifi, ps3 has wifi, wii has wifi, ipod has wifi, laptop has wifi, but the 360 doesn't. you gotta go out and pay 100 bucks for a stupid wifi adaptor to play wireless. 4: 360 doesn't have any sort of hd or dvd blu ray player, i mean ps3's got blu ray built in, you have to go buy a 200 dollar HD-DvD separately, They where such a failure they don't even make them anymore. 5: The 360 may have a few more games than the ps3 but ps3 has better games, and the 360 has more but most of them suck, the 360 has: halo (that game is getting so old), gears of war, fable 2, and L4D, anything els? Nope. oh yah viva pinata but who cares about that game. 6: The 360 scratches your video games, epic fail. 7: AA batteries for the controllers is STUPID! Oh wait You can buy rechargeable packs for 30$. STUPID! 8: People say the PS3 costs alot more, well if you add all of the **** such as that crappy wifi adapter, and the rechargeable packs, it costs as much as the PS3! 9: The huge brick sized power supply, its stupid i mean the ps3 just has a cord. STUPID! 10: the 360's fan is the noisiest fan on the planet, it sounds like a chainsaw. literally! The PS3 has none of these problems, NONE Ps3 has much better games than the 360 the ps3 has blu ray which is amazing, online is free but sony is saying you have to pay for online but only for a premium stuff but it will be worth it. Best ps3 exclusives: Killzone 2, Infamous, Demons souls, metal gear solid 4 (the reason to own a ps3 if MGS4 Was on 360 it would take up 17 discs) Little big planet, uncharted 1 and 2, (these games won game of the year in 2007 and 2009), ninja gaiden sigma 1 and 2, God of war 3 (not out but i will be amazing) resistance 1 and 2 s, heavenly sword, warhawk, and so much more. the PS3 Has more power than the 360. imagine what grand theft auto 4 would have bin like if it was a PS3 exclusives. it would probably have: more things to do. A bigger world. better graphics. and just a whole tone of more stuff. if metal gear solid 4 was on the 360 it would take around 17 discs which is embarrassing. What if we had someone create a video game that is a full blown musical experience, but (here is the catch) ONLY in instrumentals. Rock would be mostly absent. Instead, we would be treated to other genres of music, such as jazz or classical. Rap would be (obviously) not included. There might even be some video game music. There would be an orchestra section for those type of pieces, and each song would be MP3 quality. You could mix and match Instruments to your liking. Also, in order to avoid being stuck with a limited number of songs, there would be an online store where you can purchase new songs or instruments. It is confusing me to no end and I am in dire need of concise and objective advice; so well-informed answers please! Here are my PREFERENCES / CONDITIONS / PROBLEMS surrounding the purchase of a Laptop that I would ask those of you who answer this question to keep in mind : I need to buy a Laptop of good BUILD QUALITY (i.e. not 100% extra-thin plastic; I’d hate to lift it and see it bend/snap because of a minimal use of sturdy and hardy materials). In addition, I would like to avoid things falling apart/melting inside the laptop during use. & I would like it to have at least a 17 INCH SCREEN – HD etc. would be great. & I need a minimum of 3 USB PORTS for a Memory Stick, an IPod and a Mouse etc. & I would like the KEYS to be of a good size and placement; I could live without pressing 4 letters at the same time when I type up an essay. & I need to be able to browse the INTERNET at a good speed via Wi-Fi etc. I believe there is something that speeds up the ‘data transfer’ while on the Internet (software or a chip…???). & I would very much prefer to buy the laptop with MICROSOFT WORD ETC. already installed (not a trial). & I would like it to come with some form of preferably free, ANTI-VIRUS etc. & I would like it to have a really good GRAPHICS CARD/DEDICATED MEMORY for the occasional game. & As I will buy the Laptop online direct from the company, I would very much appreciate the chance to CUSTOMISE the laptop in terms of software & hardware capabilities etc. before I ‘add to basket.’ Most websites seem to only allow you to choose things in an effort to filter through their own models, once one is found however, you cannot alter their specifications. WHAT I NEED IT FOR / WHAT I’LL BE DOING : I will often be surfing the Internet for information while typing something in Microsoft Word as my IPod plays music in the background through ITunes. However, I wouldn’t necessarily keep my music on the Laptop itself, just the IPod. I will have virtually no pictures or videos on the Laptop, nor will I have use for editing software such as Photoshop etc. In addition, to relax, I would like to play Word of Warcraft (with all 3 expansions) knowing that my Laptop won’t lag, have to compromise on graphics etc., or generally falter at the task of merely processing the game as I walk about. In other words, I would like to play W.O.W comfortably, both in the aesthetic and technological sense. NOTES : As this Laptop will need to survive for about 4 years, I need one that will suffice even after the inevitable decline of its capabilities over time. So, it needs to be pretty good, even too good now, so in 4 years it will still be good enough. Also, I have already looked at many forums and advice sites, I have visited almost all the company websites and I just need help finding one that ticks my boxes so-to-speak. Im under 15, im sick of life because im ugly. My mom really does beat me when she's mad, (slaps me in the face on a regular basis) I have one brother, used to be hospitalized for a liver transplant. I'm a junior in high school but I still haven't found my place yet. My style is mainly skinny jeans and cool t-shirts, cardigans, along with flats. I'm not girly, I love video games and I skateboard. The one time I wore a dress to school people said I looked weird. I don't want to label but it's the easiest way to explain things. I either get called a hippie or an emo kid. :/ I've tried to hang out with the people who dress like me, but all of the 'emo' kids in my school skip class to smoke cigarettes and do drugs on the weekends. I don't mind being friends with people who do drugs at school, but I can't hang out with them on the weekends because I don't want to get involved with that. (I don't do drugs, drink or smoke. It's a personal choice.) The 'hippie' kids do the same thing. They also are really stuck up. I was friends with a couple of them until they found out that I liked 'mainstream' music (I have All Time Low and music like that on my ipod). Yeah... that didn't work out. Meanwhile the people who DONT do drugs are really goody two shoes. Like they do community service for fun. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. That just isn't what I want to do every weekend. I seriously don't know my place. I just want to have a group of friends who I fit in with. But I can't seem to find them. Right now I'm only friends with a couple of people, because I've known them since elementary school. How can I find people who will be friends with me, without conforming..?
