I have no idea what in the world happened to my Video iPod but I do know that i want to replace it as soon as i get the chance. The one i just lost has been practically glued to me sine i got it. I love my music that much. But my problem is I can't afford to replace it now with Christmas right here and even though i knew it'd need to replace soon enough (one too many falls or accidental step on's did that) I wasn't expecting this so soon. Therefore I'm hoping someone on here will give me some very good advice on what model might best suit me. I have tons of songs so a lot of space is a necessity. It was a video so i also have become accustom to having videos/movies and pictures on it too. I also have a clumsy streak so something durable would be a really good thing. (lol) I had a first gen. iPod nano but that was stolen, but i'd be fine with another Nano.... so what do you think?? (color really isn't that big of a deal nor is the style ) more

I have a 30gb Video iPod (3 years old) and over time I added songs and movies to it with iTunes. Recently, I got a new computer and just installed iTunes 9 (the new one). (I use Windows Media Player and have a few albums on it...so when I installed iTunes, it transferred to iTunes) It says I can transfer my purchases (some songs and movies) from my iPod to iTunes or it can remove everything on my iPod and replace it with music already on iTunes (which is not much). MY QUESTION: How can I transfer EVERYTHING on my iPod onto the new iTunes so nothing is removed? more

I wanted to put some rob and big episodes on my ipod but when i put the videos in the ipod it shows up on my ipod but when i choose to play it, it says "This movie could not be played" I restored/ restarted my ipod but it still doesnt work. I can play some other stuff but i cant play ANY of my other tv shows like south park or the boondocks. Help!!It is in regular Standard Definition. I got it from a friend from ipod access. The weird thing is though before i got the Touch i had a nano and when i dragged and dropped rob and big or south park, it would let me play them. Open Question: buying a new iTouch is there a way to get songs from my old iPod to my new one?

So I some how banged up my iPod headphone jack so now it only plays out of the left ear (yes I have tried several new pairs of headphones) so since Christmas is just around the corner I am getting an iTouch. The thing is that I had 3500+ songs, bunches of videos (TV shows, music videos, movies), and photos on my iPod that I don't have on my new computer. I had my iPod on manually sync so I got a bunch of the music and stuff from my friends. My iPod still works as in it can connect to my computer and I can use it just fine, except that it only plays out of the left earphone. Is there a program or something I can use to get the music and stuff off of my old iPod so I can put it on my computer and then put it on the iTouch I'm getting? The last thing I want is to have to buy the music all over again. That would be really annoying. more

I have a fairly recent macbook and am slightly disappointed in the quality decrease from a movie file that looks great on my mac but doesn't translate well after burning it to a DVD and watching it on my TV. I recently got a new iPod Nano and had all the things in my iTunes library copied to it. Like my previous iPod Nano, it has a capacity of 8GB (which is actually around 7.3 GB for both). On my old iPod, I'm able to fit 678 songs and 2.5 hours of video without a problem. But for my current one, I'm forced to choose one of my two movies to sync with it (in other words, I have to uncheck one of them) because the "Other" part takes up A LOT of space, around 1.15 GB compared to 86MB for my previous iPod, and therefore I can't have both movies on my current iPod because it exceeds the capacity. I have exactly the same content on both iPods...although I use the newer one, I sync both my old and new iPod regularly to my iTunes library. Does anybody know why the "Other" on my new iPod takes up so much compared to my old one?My "new" iPod is actually a 4th Generation Nano, not the current 5th Generation one. I meant "new" in my perspective, although the 4G isn't the newest Nano anymore. more

Open Question: Why does my CPU usage reach 100% when watching HD movies and converting video?

This never happened before. I used to be able to watch HD films in any player (Be it VLC or Media Player Classic) for hours on end with no problem. Now, whenever I do, I open Task Manager and see that CPU usage spikes at insane levels when watching HD content. It doesn't stay at 100% the entire time, but it reaches it and never goes lower than 50-60%. This practically makes HD content utterly unwatchable. The screen freezes, pixelates and goes into really bad slow-motion. The audio is fine though. Another thing is that converting video takes up 100% of my CPU usage. I have used Videora iPod Converter for years now to watch videos in my iPod. It has NEVER given me any problem whatsoever. A fifteen-minute video would take around four to seven minutes to convert if I remember correctly. Now, when I convert the same video, it takes around thirty to forty minutes to convert while using 100% CPU for the ENTIRE TIME. My computer just got fixed by the way. A few weeks ago it overheated and the motherboard apparently stopped recognizing the hard disk drives (I couldn't access any of my files after that). Eventually it stopped recognizing drive C: so they needed to reinstall vista all over again. Apparently the reason it overheated was because the inside of the CPU was so dirty, trapping heat inside. We had it cleaned up so now it's all fine... except for what I mentioned above. No other programs or activity results in my PC to use 100%. Not even using Photoshop does this. I have 2.00 GB worth of RAM but I also noticed that about 50% of it is used (0.98 - 1.00 GB) when I use firefox alone. I'm not sure if this is normal either. Can anyone help? more

Hi, i have a Ipod Touch 3g 32gb and i have just brought Harry Potter Half Blood Prince on Blu Ray and inside it has blu ray DVD and special features, a normal DVD and a digital copy for Ipod. So i downloaded the digital copy for the Ipod and i went into itunes, i pressed on 'File' then 'Add File To Libary...' (Ctrl + O) and i clicked on the port one which is the one for the ipod i think and now i cant find it in the Libary. I've tried loads of times and no matter what when i click on the port one then open its like its missing. Its a 'Windows Media Audio/Video file (.wmv)'... Whats wrong!?!??!
