Hi, I’ve created a video (mixing pictures and music) using Windows Movie Maker which seems only to publish to (and therefore play) with Windows Media Player as it seems to always save the video as a .wmv file… I would like to save it in a way that allows me to view it on my iPod is there anyone that can help me with this? I recently bought an Ipod nano(the new one) from a random kid at school.. He said his grandmother gave it to him for his birthday and was selling it because he never uses it. I accepted because it was only $30 rather than 150. Now that I have it I'm concerned that it may be stolen and thats why it was such a low price, and the kid now that i think about it looked less than honest. I have bought an IHome and charger which racked up about 100 dollars. Also, I was looking through it and the pictures/video on the Ipod look nothing like the kid I bought it from.And the Ipod was namned diffrent than what i think the kid i bought it from's name is. I am worried that if it is stolen I could somehow be tracked through itunes and the serial number or something, getting me into trouble. Is this possible? I don't want to have to deal with that when I havent done anything wrong. should i lose sleep over it at night? there isn't really anything I can do for the previous owner if it was stolen.. i restored the factory settings so it was like new, and re named it and am putting my own music on it, so all the old songs that were purchased from itunes and everything or synced have been erased, and only my music is on it now. but im still worried it will get me in trouble. if i turn it into the police then my guess is it's going to sit there like forever because no one is going to claim it, but on the other hand if someone did go to the police over it than i will have wished i turned it in. also, can i sync music on my computer through windows media player or do i absoulutely HAVE to use itunes? thanks more

Open Question: Getting a new iPod this week, which should I get (details inside)?

My video iPod broke just a few days ago and obviously I have to get a new one (from what the Genius Bar advised me) My top 2 would be the Nano or the iTouch, but im not ruling out the Classic I dont have that much music, with only 213 songs. However, I watch a lot of videos (4 1/2 hours) and im planning on getting more. I like playing games, although thats not my no.1 priority. I would like to take pictures (which i know only the nano does) since I'm going to a tennis tournament soon and would like to take pics of my fave players. I filled 3 1/4 of the 20 "squares" (23.21 free GB) I would prefer one that is more durable, since I dropped my Video probably 3 times (even though it perfectly worked after- didnt cause the breakage). And I keep it in my backpack, although it is isolated from the rest of my stuff. I read mixed reviews online about all of the versions, so Im unsure of which to get. i just got a purple ipod nano that shoots video, brand new no songs on it, but two videos. th first time i tried to charge it, i plugged it into my ps2, but it didn't say it was charging. then i plugged it into the computer and an itunes thing popped up to set up the ipod, but i closed out cuz im a retard and i didn't know what i was doing at the time. so i tried to download my music using windows media player, but then i remembered i can only download songs using itunes. i didn't wanna pay for itunes so i went to lime wire. i downloaded lime wire and itunes. then when i got the songs picked out and downloaded form lime wire i got them onto itunes, but there's no syncing button! i called my friend and she said that i didn't register my ipod.that's what that thing was that popped up the first time i plugged my ipod in! now i don't know where to find that pop up. and i tried restarting my ipod and my computer. i downloaded lime wire and itunes 3 times now and nothing happens. and when i do go to itunes play list there's a pop up with a black '!' in a yellow triangle that says, "soft ware required for communicating with ipod is not installed correctly. please reinstall itunes to install the Ipod's software" and i think i did that but nothing happened. please help me!! more

thinking about getting an ipod touch to listen to my favorite music, however I dont know where to begin. Friends of mine have the itouch and can visit youtube and go on the internet, but do you need a monthly fee for this? im looking to buy one mostly for music, and perhaps videos as well, which plays these the best pertaining to the 8gb, 32 gb and 64 gb? I noticed that people had always used limewire for free music downloads, but i was wondering say you downloaded other music, transfered it to windows media player synch list, then transfered them to the ipod that way? also would I be able to put Cds on them, say from Borders, if I burn them in windows media player? I also noticed how there are different 'Genrations' of the ipod touch, does this mean there will be a 4th generation out, with more capabilities for the same price? again, I must know if there is a monthly fee for use of the internet. is the 64gb the best? all I keep hearing about however is the 32gb, is this because its the most popular? also does it have a Bass control? Yesterday, my husband and I came back early from a day drip because of the rain. We specifically told my kids that they had to stay home, and no friends could come over. They (17 and 13) were supposed to study for tests and babysit their (8 and 5) year old siblings. When we walked into the house, we found both of our older kids, with their friends over, and my little ones with them watching an R rated movie. When they heard us, they immediately changed the channel. My 13 year old isn't even allowed to see those, and he and his older brother know that. When I talked to them, they claimed they weren't watching the movie, even though the DVD box was on top of the player, and claimed that their friends being over to "study", which didn't happen. They completely lied and disobeyed! I grounded them for two weeks with no phone, ipod, computer, video games, etc. Is this a good punishment? Is it too harsh? Creative ideas?I told them that if they did well on their tests they can have their stuff back, but they would still be grounded. more

Reasons Why The Xbox 360 Sucks: 1: The red ring of death. the xbox 360 has around a 54% failure rate. FAIL 2: Paying for online sucks, thats stupid your already paying for your own internet for your computer. 3: No wifi, ps3 has wifi, wii has wifi, ipod has wifi, laptop has wifi, but the 360 doesn't. you gotta go out and pay 100 bucks for a stupid wifi adaptor to play wireless. 4: 360 doesn't have any sort of hd or dvd blu ray player, i mean ps3's got blu ray built in, you have to go buy a 200 dollar HD-DvD separately, They where such a failure they don't even make them anymore. 5: The 360 may have a few more games than the ps3 but ps3 has better games, and the 360 has more but most of them suck, the 360 has: halo (that game is getting so old), gears of war, fable 2, and L4D, anything els? Nope. oh yah viva pinata but who cares about that game. 6: The 360 scratches your video games, epic fail. 7: AA batteries for the controllers is STUPID! Oh wait You can buy rechargeable packs for 30$. STUPID! 8: People say the PS3 costs alot more, well if you add all of the **** such as that crappy wifi adapter, and the rechargeable packs, it costs as much as the PS3! 9: The huge brick sized power supply, its stupid i mean the ps3 just has a cord. STUPID! 10: the 360's fan is the noisiest fan on the planet, it sounds like a chainsaw. literally! The PS3 has none of these problems, NONE Ps3 has much better games than the 360 the ps3 has blu ray which is amazing, online is free but sony is saying you have to pay for online but only for a premium stuff but it will be worth it. Best ps3 exclusives: Killzone 2, Infamous, Demons souls, metal gear solid 4 (the reason to own a ps3 if MGS4 Was on 360 it would take up 17 discs) Little big planet, uncharted 1 and 2, (these games won game of the year in 2007 and 2009), ninja gaiden sigma 1 and 2, God of war 3 (not out but i will be amazing) resistance 1 and 2 s, heavenly sword, warhawk, and so much more. the PS3 Has more power than the 360. imagine what grand theft auto 4 would have bin like if it was a PS3 exclusives. it would probably have: more things to do. A bigger world. better graphics. and just a whole tone of more stuff. if metal gear solid 4 was on the 360 it would take around 17 discs which is embarrassing. The only reason that the 360 has more sales is because it was around like 1 year and a half longer. 360 Is The Past PS3 IS FUTURE! PS. nerds who say that the ps3 has no games, lol your living in the past you douches, the ps3 has like 1000 games, sure the 360 has like 200 more but thats cause it was out a bit longer and most of those games suck. more

FAIL 2: Paying for online sucks, thats stupid your already paying for your own internet for your computer. 3: No wifi, ps3 has wifi, wii has wifi, ipod has wifi, laptop has wifi, but the 360 doesn't. you gotta go out and pay 100 bucks for a stupid wifi adaptor to play wireless. 4: 360 doesn't have any sort of hd or dvd blu ray player, i mean ps3's got blu ray built in, you have to go buy a 200 dollar HD-DvD separately, They where such a failure they don't even make them anymore. 5: The 360 may have a few more games than the ps3 but ps3 has better games, and the 360 has more but most of them suck, the 360 has: halo (that game is getting so old), gears of war, fable 2, and L4D, anything els? Nope. oh yah viva pinata but who cares about that game. 6: The 360 scratches your video games, epic fail. 7: AA batteries for the controllers is STUPID! Oh wait You can buy rechargeable packs for 30$. STUPID! 8: People say the PS3 costs alot more, well if you add all of the **** such as that crappy wifi adapter, and the rechargeable packs, it costs as much as the PS3! 9: The huge brick sized power supply, its stupid i mean the ps3 just has a cord. STUPID! 10: the 360's fan is the noisiest fan on the planet, it sounds like a chainsaw. literally! The PS3 has none of these problems, NONE Ps3 has much better games than the 360 the ps3 has blu ray which is amazing, online is free but sony is saying you have to pay for online but only for a premium stuff but it will be worth it. Best ps3 exclusives: Killzone 2, Infamous, Demons souls, metal gear solid 4 (the reason to own a ps3 if MGS4 Was on 360 it would take up 17 discs) Little big planet, uncharted 1 and 2, (these games won game of the year in 2007 and 2009), ninja gaiden sigma 1 and 2, God of war 3 (not out but i will be amazing) resistance 1 and 2 s, heavenly sword, warhawk, and so much more. the PS3 Has more power than the 360. imagine what grand theft auto 4 would have bin like if it was a PS3 exclusives. it would probably have: more things to do. A bigger world. better graphics. and just a whole tone of more stuff. if metal gear solid 4 was on the 360 it would take around 17 discs which is embarrassing. The only reason that the 360 has more sales is because it was around like 1 year and a half longer. 360 Is The Past PS3 IS FUTURE!PS. nerds who say that the ps3 has no games, lol your living in the past you douches, the ps3 has like 1000 games, sure the 360 has like 200 more but thats cause it was out a bit longer and most of those games suck. more

Long story short. Was saving up for an iPod but turns out old player has lots of life left in it so now I want to spend saved money on in-ear bud headphones. I use my player at the library as I'm working on my book. I don't want to disturb people at the other study tables and I don't need to hear them prattle on or text with their ringer on or watch Youtube videos, so I'm thinking in-ear buds that block out sound and keep in music. I keep the volume low but I like the music (or podcasts) to be clear - like they're in the room with me. I've seen JVC Marshmallows and Skullcandy ones. Are there any others around the same price ($25-30 here). And which are the best? They don't need to be skullthumping earbleeding - just clear and "live like Memorex". Thanks! more

im 15. im getting it on contract. i dont really need a good video player cos i hav an ipod touch. im gonna use it for texting and taking pictures and using internet away from home (tho' less importance for the last point). i havnt got a huge amount to spend but they are all in the same price bracket c903 £18p/m; c905 £25p/m; w995 £20p/m . but tbh the c905 is basically out of my price bracket. any ideas? more

Voting Question: Ipod and iTunes help?

I have a ipod nano and I use itunes of course to sync my music. But recently I had download winamp to watch some music videos and I guess that was made my default music player or something. So now I plug in my wire to my ipod and cpu and the itunes does show my ipod. I uninstalled itunes and downloaded it again. that didnt work so I deleted winamp from my cpu and that didnt work either. What do I do? Itunes doesn't show my ipod so I cant sync my music or charge it =( more

Voting Question: Itunes 9 isn't downloading! Help Me!!?

I keep trying to download iTunes 9 so when I get a new ipod nano i will be able to sync music and video onto it. But every time I try to download it, it says that it cant access my %APPDATA%/ on my administrator account (I have windows vista). I also cant get on Itunes 8 on my administrator account either. On my private account I can open itunes8 but I still cant download itunes 9 on the private one because it cant access the %APPDATA%/ file either but i was still able to download itunes 8 on the private account after I deleted it. Because when I had itunes 8 I was able to sync and download music on my old ipod (the one with the smaller screen not the big one like they have now, my old one recently broke because it was old) but then i found out the new ipod nano model has to have itunes 9. I know this is alot to read lol ^^^^^ but i really want another ipod and need itunes 9. *By the way can you download videos and music on a ipod using Real Player SP* Thanks for your help if u answer :) more

Resolved Question: When i download videos using real player on my laptop, why can't i put them on to my ipod?

I know that real player isnt illeagal, because i bought my laptop from PC WORLD and it came with it on a disc. I don't want to sell these videos on or anything, i just want to be able to watch them on the go, on my ipod. Any way i can do this? Or is there any way i can change the format of the video so i can watch them in windows media player, instead of real player? Thanks.. more
