and I get in trouble. My dad hates me so much hes happy when I get punched in the face. My bro punched me because I asked him to say please so he could borrow my computer. That kid has anger issues. I should probally tell you how this started! Mums story! My mum was born in 1975 and had major future as a young gymnast. She moved to the qas(queensland acadamy of sport) at age 9, then at 13 she accepted a scholarship to the australian institute of sport( same age as me, same thing happened but I don't want to go but still have to). After being at the AIS for 7 years she met a man, my dad and then on the the night of her 20th birthday they made love-very romantic. But not in mums case because it was September 1995, and mum was due to compete at the atlanta olympics in georgia in less than one year- nine months to be presise. Instead of winning her gold medal she had me, on the same day, what a coincidence. But I still think that she would of wanted me later and the gold medal back then. But she doesn't have one and there's nothing that she can do about it-except make sure that I win the 2012 London olympics- shes already brought tickets- trouble is I HATE GYMNASTICS! My story Born during the Atlanta Olympics I was mum and dads gold medal baby and I still am because I stand at only 4 feet 1 and weight 57 pounds- the average size of a six year old(i'm thirteen). But my mum constantly watches what I eat and has a dietitian prepare a diet plan for me each week. At eighteen months my mum eroled me in a gymnastics class. But problem was, I was far too young. So we packed up and moved to sydney-from brisbane just so that I could become a world class gymnasts- hello I wasn't even two yet I could hardly talk- let alone know what I wanted- except for food of course. I trained there for 6 years but when I told mum that I had enought at 7 and a half, she said I needed a fresh start and new club. Now there were plenty of other clubs in Sydney- but no she had to move to Perth in Western Australia- to the club that Monette Russo came from. (She finished 3rd at worlds in 2005) Here at age 8 I began training 26 hours a week,then I had a fall during my double front and dislocated my shoulder and whilst having scans they noticed that my back bone had been dislocated ever scince I was born. I had reconstruction on my shoulder- the youngest patient to ever have that done in WA. I also surgery in my back. Now for any other parent this would have been enough to make sure I never walked into a gym again- but only 3 weeks later my mum made me train with my team an extra 4 hours a week at 30 hours. I was sick and tired of gymnastics and all wanted for my ninth birthday was a big party with lots of junk food, nine year olds these days want way more stuff than I did. But once again mum pushed me too hard- she brought me a treadmill and an exercise bike- so much for barbie dolls and she also brought me a ticket to watch the 2005 world championships- trouble is i had also asked to quit gymnastics- but she wouldn't let me. So here I was watching- what I soon would be, a robot- dancing around in a pretty leotard discusted me, and when mum went to buy me a few more to add to my huge collection(currently 56) I was discusted and refused to try them on. Mum literally put them on for me! While all this was happening and I parading around in the bright pink leotad- size 4 I think. Guess who stopped by- Peggy Lidick(monette russo's very famous coach- she used to coach mum). And instantly reconised my mum. She asked if I was her daughter and then after finding out all my results much my discust she offered me a place in the AIS as simple as that. Mum answered for me saying of course I will but maybe I was too young. Peggy agreed and they decided that when I turned 13 off the AIS i go- fun, no not really. After that I yelled and screamed at my mum telling her that I hated her and gymnastics and ran away. But she found me- I tried to run away many more times but they were unsuccseful. That was the year that I won my first national championships- international level8, I was competing against teenager and I was barely nine. Between the ages of 9 and 12 I gave up and just did what ever my mum wanted- and i hated it. By then my hours had increased to 40 hours each week, I constantly missed school. On my 13th birthday exactly on month ago mum gave me a laptop and an I phone telling me that I would need to contact her everyday from the AIS-but then dad suggested why can't he go with me. So I got to keep my i phone and laptop as well as recieve 1000 dollars to keep me going. Still no amount of money would make me want to give everything that I love so that I could be everything that my mother never was. Oh yeah by the way I will 15 when I compete at the Olympics and one of the youngest competitors. But I really don't want to go so last night I had a talk to my mum and dad about my dreams of becoming an actor or a personal trainer/doctor and it resulted in a lot of yelling mainly from me and mum and now she hates me and she told me that she would rather have the gold medal than me! Destiny’s Journey [rough draft] Tuesday afternoon. Another day of watching The Steve Wilkos show, and Jerry Springer. I should try something new, but, today is just my normal routine of watching TV and going on my laptop to research about ghosts. Yep, just normal. But, very boring. Well, here’s a little something about me: 1. My name is Destiny Journey. I am 13 and I am in 8th grade. 2. I have one sister who is the popular one at school, and a brother who is a jock. 3. I express myself in different ways than other people. 4. I hate people who make fun of me because I know I am psychic and I love ghosts. Not to mention cats. 5. My mom is divorced and my dad walked out on us when I was 5. My mom and I are not very close. She loves my sister Kathy, because Kathy is the popular cheerleader at school. She also loves Blake, my older brother because he is the star of his football team. Blake always picks on me for being what they call, a “loser”. He just doesn’t understand that ghosts are very cool to talk to and to know how they feel about living things living in their house. Which I think is very awesome in a creepy way. My mom and I were never close. I have a feeling that my mom is afraid of me. Right when I come back from school, I go straight upstairs into my room and talk to my “friends”. By friends I mean ghosts and my imaginary best friend, Hope. Hope has black hair, a pretty face, and always dark clothes. Basically like me. As for real friends, I have none. Everyone is freaked out by me, and I don’t know why. Now, it is time for dinner. All I have to do is go downstairs, say “Hi” to my mom and get my food and go upstairs before the commercials end. The food is Lasagna, which is my favorite, and with a side-dish of lima beans. Yum! Also, I have some Sprite to go along with it. Now, I am finished with dinner and it is 8:30 PM. It is very dark outside, and my bed time is at 10:00 PM, so I think I will go to the neighborhood pond and do some searching of ghosts. I think it’s going to be really fun. As I go down the hallway, I try to do a little spying on my siblings. Kathy’s door is opened a little and Blake talks really loudly so it will be a piece of cake hearing him. I go near Kathy’s door, she’s talking on the phone. Probably with her best friend, Gina. As I listen more closely, I know it is Gina. They are talking about cheer-leading, and how they “need” to lose weight and other girly weird stuff. Now, it is Blake’s turn to be spied on. He is talking on the phone to Brad, one of the football players. I couldn’t agree more that Brad is very cute and should I say, sexy. I use my psychic abilities on him. Like, when he comes over. I know the exact time when he comes, and it’s perfect so I can change my clothes and look my best. He seems to like it by his thoughts. I always brush my teeth before he comes over, too. Smiling is a perfect way to win a really cute guy’s heart. Or, at least that’s what I think. I can sense that he is coming over in 30 minuets. I guess my plans of hunting ghosts are tarnished, only for today. As I try to look my best, I pick out a dark purple shirt with a pair of Le’Dawn short-cut jeans. I try to style my hair. By style, I mean putting my hair in a pony-tail and a little bow clip on my bangs. I guess I look decent. Then, Brad comes. He rings the doorbell which tweets like a bird for exactly 10 seconds, and comes in with his shoes on. A big “NO” for my mom. He is then greeted by Blake and continues to talk while going upstairs, unaware that he might trip. He goes into Kathy’s room and say’s “hi”. He then walks into my room and says “hi” as well. I, of course, blush and say “hey” back. He walks out of my room and closes the door. I smile to myself, and then quickly snap out of my Barbie-like state to focus on reality. Good ’ole reality. It is now 9:30 PM and I have to go take a shower. I strip off my clothes, put my clothes in the dirty clothes basket, get all of my special shampoos and conditioners, then turn on the hot water as I start to lather my wet hair. The water soon turns to ice-cold as someone flushes the toilet in the bathroom in Blake’s room. We all have our own bathrooms, decorated how we wanted it. Mine is checkered with black and purple squares, Kathy’s bathroom is pink with white stripes, and Blake’s is a 49er themed bathroom. I finish my shower as I grab my violet towel out of the towel rack, and I go into the hallway with the towel wrapped around my body. I step into my room as I see Brad sitting on my bed with my “Book Of Drawings”. “Hey, Destiny. Blake was on the phone, so he told me to look at your drawing book. He said it was cool and that you wouldn’t mind.” Brad said. I was dumbfounded, and I didn’t really understand why. “Oh, yea. It’s ok. I don’t mind at all. So, do you like any?” I replied sheepishly. “Yea, I loved the your drawing titled “Wolfed Moon:. So, Today i was on the computer, checking my emails. Instead, of calling my name, my mother SLAMS the top of the laptop down, not only smasing my fingers, but SHE BROKE THE FRAME OF THE SCREEN. I said "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR, YOU IDIOT?" And she starts calling me names like your such a effing little brat, I hate you. etc... She has hurt me before, when i was young, my barbie's car tire feel off (I was around four, so still pretty young) and I started crying, and she smacks me with a bag full of recycling. also, when i was eight, she smashs a spray bottle on my leg, giving me a big gash. I start crying at each sceanario, and she says grow up,or stop crying ou brat etc. I need help, But whenever i threaten of calling child services or whatever, and she's like "Your foster home wont give you anything at all! They wont let you swim! ( I swim competively) I tell my dad about it, but he does nothing. And My sister also hits me infront of my mom, and my mom takes her side. by saying you derseverd it. When my sister broke her leg, she KICKED me. when she broke her arm, SHE HELD ME AGAINST THe CouCH WITH HER CAST ON MY NECK SO I COULDNT BBREAthe. I dont know what to do. Please someone help. more

Resolved Question: How can I get some older games to install on my XP computer?

I've got a few old PC games from 2000 when I got my first computer, and they're all really good and I want to play them again, but I am having trouble installing them. I've now got an XP computer which is only my 2nd PC, and I HAVE played those games on it before, but now they won't even install. Some of these games are Pong The Next Level, Babyz, Detective Barbie (Ok, yes it was my sister's game, but it was still great fun xD). One thing I've noticed for all these games when trying to install, is that when you try to run it by putting the disk in, nothing happens apart from a "Setup.exe" is added the the processes list on Windows Task Manager, and it stays there but doesn't do anything and the memory it uses never changes. I've tried Windows Compatibility Wizard, but the games still don't do anything apart from add a Setup.exe process. I've tried googling my problem, but couldn't find a solution but I did find forum posts and stuff with the same problem, (Setup.exe process being started, but not doing anything), but there was never a definite solution. So does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I really want to play some of those old games. Some of the old PC games I got with my first computer such as Mobil 1 Rally Championship, Supreme Snowboarding and Rollercoaster Tycoon all work. But some of the games don't. =\ My PC is a desktop, and this is the system specs it gives on the properties window of my computer. (I can never understand them). Packard Bell Packard Bell Computer AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor +3400 2.40 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM Physical Address Extension I'm assuming the problem is to do with the games being too old for my computer, but I've played them before on this computer. :\ Is there another method of installing them? I've read on some forum posts with this problem, that people have been able to install the games on their laptop, but not their desktop even if the laptop is say Vista, and the desktop is XP. I had this problem with a Buzz Lightyear game, but it seemed to work on my Vista laptop. :\ But it's not good for playing games and doesn't have much space. It's also broken at the moment, so I can't try installing anything on it. So any ideas? Thanks in advance. more

I'm getting a laptop from my parents for graduation... they say I can get any kind I want. I have no clue what kind to get. Everyone says that Macs are the greatest? Are they really? I have a PC right now and it does crash a lot, but I have all the software I need for it... so that would safe a lot of money, which we probably need right now because of the economy. But I mostly use Mac programs on my PC because I can't stand the Windows version. I use Safari instead of internet explorer and I use iTunes instead of Windows media... I'm also not a big gamer, so I don't need a good gaming laptop, I think the last game I played was a barbie game when I was five. Resolved Question: BARBIE WORKING WOMAN CD QUESTION?

Well, that game was and is my favorite thing to come out of Barbie. It is 11 years old, pretty scratched up, and Im dying to play it! OK, well I went through the installation, (I have a super fast laptop) and it downloaded speedy quick in about.... 7 seconds? Then it wants me to restart my computer, so I did, When my computer was ready, I made sure that no windows were being used, JUST IN CASE. And I clicked the Working Woman link in my desktop twice so it would play. Then this little box comes up and says (just in summary) "Dude, your game just stopped working, pff, like it ever started working.." So Im like, "Hmmm, let's try this.." I opened the CD thingy, closed it, and this little box comes up with the Barbie Working Woman thingy and I click PLAY then that same box that told me my game stopped working comes up. I uninstall then re-install 4 times. IT NEVER WORKS! Please, I'm dying to play this game, it's been 7 years since I even touched it.. Help! more

When I was growing up, I didn't have much of anything. My mother was on welfare, and we lived in the projects. Everything we had was generally second hand, and always old and shabby. As I grew into an adult, I decided that was NOT going to be my family. I went to college on grants and loans, and got married shortly after graduation. We now have a 6 year old daughter. As a child, I always dreamed about having a big beautiful house with a fancy modified car. Moreover, I love the feeling of being able to see something high tech, like an iPhone or or the latest laptop--and actually being able to buy it. You see, I work 2 jobs at least 50 hours a week and I'm always covering for other people's shifts if they cannot make it. I frequently check the want ads for odd jobs such as people who need their lawn mowed while they are out on vacation, or their fence painted, or whatever I could do for some extra cash whenever I was not at my jobs. My main goal is to save up for a huge house with a huge lawn for my family. My wife always complained saying that I was a horrible dad because I am never at home with my daughter--I'm always either at one of my jobs, or doing some odd job I saw in the paper. I said that I'm not a bad dad--I keep a roof over her head, food on the table, and all kinds of high tech toys. Last Christmas, she got a Playstation 3...do you know how great it felt to be able to get my daughter one of those instead of a lousy Barbie and some shoes? When I applied for a graveyard night shift job at a bread factory, my wife said she had enough, that I was greedy and selfish and that they both deserve better than me. She took our child and left...and hasn't been back since yesterday. Is there really something wrong with working hard and trying to earn yourself the American dream, instead of doing it the way my mother did....living on welfare and making else everyone miserable all due to her laziness? Resolved Question: what did you do for Thankgiving?

So what did you do for Thanksgiving? Heres my Thanksgiving My Thanksgiving For Thanksgiving I basically did nothing. I had no family come over, except my PaPa. We had the traditional meal. Turkey, mash potaoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and mold, sweet potato casserole, and cheese-broccoli casserole. We had Thankgiving at my house, like we all ways do. After our Thankgiving meal, my best friend, Matt, called me and asked if I would enjoy coming over to his house, for dinner. So I went to his house for dinner. We ended up watching all the Halloween movies in a row. It was really fun. I also ended up spending the night at his house as well. I slept in his sister’s room, Layla. Next morning, we left for Bojangles to get breakfast. Then we went to Wal-Mart to check out deals on laptops and staroes. It took a while because Layla, being 8, wanted to make a list of the entire Barbie and Bratz isles. I ended up making a wish list for me and making one for Matt. He had just recently sprained his wrist and so he couldn’t write. On my list is a Eee PC laptop and American Mcgee’s Alice computer game. So far, Matts’ asked for, also, an Eee PC laptop, World of Warcraft online game, American Mcgee’s Alice computer game, a Twilight T-shirt with Edward and Bella on the front, and a new Ipod Touch. He usualy gets what he wants, so no matter how long his list is, and no matter how much it costs, he’ll get it all. Then Sherill, Matt’s mom, decided I should have lunch before I go back home. So we went to KFC and downed some fried chicken and mash potatos. I was home again an hour later. The rest of the weekend, we just moved furniture around and hooked up the Tv, VCR, surround sound, and the cable box. It was an okay Thanksgiving. Resolved Question: My mom spoils my sister. Why do I have to be responsible for her?

I'm 15 years old and my sister is 3. My mom spends as much time as she can with my sister. She says I don't need attention because I'm a teenager. But my sister is really spoiled and it makes living in my home miserable for me. My mother buys her expensive gifts. A few days ago, she bought her an iPod Touch (and downloaded 400 songs onto it from iTunes) and just bought me a Barbie doll. She bought her a cell phone (a Sidekick; I think that's what it's called) and bought me a toy telephone. She even bought my sister a laptop (I mean an actual laptop computer) and bought me a set of blocks. She bought these gifts separately and earlier in the year. Why am I being treated like a baby? My sister can do whatever she wants and my mom will fuss with me. If she draws on the walls with her markers, I get in trouble for not taking away her markers. If she refuses to eat dinner, I get in trouble for giving her candy (even if I didn't feed her anything! And I have never given her food.) Basically, I get in trouble for anything bad my sister does, even if I wasn't there. My grandparents have tried to talk to her, but she's completely deaf to anything they say. I don't know anything about raising children, but I'm sure spoiling them to no end is bad. Every time I try get my mom's attention to talk to her for one minute, my sister interrupts and I'm forgotten. I think being the older sibling is a curse. I know my sister isn't to blame. Well its not really a problem well yeah it kinda is like a glicht I have windows Vista and I installed Mickey's Magic Kitchen for my little sister Rowen on my laptop and it worked fine. Then I TRIED to install Barbie Magic Hairstyler (not for my sister but for my best friend Lillie and I we want to play it again haha and we are 14!!) anyway and it won't work when I ever click on the like shortcut on my desktop this message comes up "C:\Program Files\Barbie\ Barbie Magic Hairstyler.exe is not a valid Win32 appilcation." And it WONT WORK ITS MAKING ME REALLY MAD!!!!!!!!!!!! Could someone please tell me whats wrong!!!!! Resolved Question: Why won't Sims 2 install?

I have tried millions of times to install the Sims 2 to this computer, and the mouse gets a little CD-rom picture next to it like its reading it then it freezes for a minute and the whole desktop like refreshes. I thought, hm... maybe its the disc? So I tried installing it onto my laptop and it worked immediately. SO, I thought maybe it's my CD drive that can't read it? So I tried installing other computer games (Including "The Movies" and "Barbie Detective). They both started to install immediately. So, I know the CD drive works AND I know theres nothing wrong with the disc, so what could it POSSIBLY be?! WHY isn't it installing? I REALLY want to play this game, but It's not working at all!
