Okay, I've never experienced any problems before with Hotmail. And yet today I received four emails from the "post-master" telling me that some emails I'd apparently sent hadn't delivered. Thing is I never sent those emails. And they're not in my sent box. But it seems as if some OTHER emails have sent (again, ones I didn't send) and are sending bad messages to my contacts. There are no viruses on my laptop. I've scanned and scanned, and nothing is appearing out of place. ok lets say that I am trying to get on the internet on my dsi from my room. If I'm in my room, my dsi will have a harder time connecting to the internet, but if I go to the front part of the house it will connect easier. but when my sisters are in the room their laptops connect all the time. Why does my dsi do this? Is there something wrong with my dsi or the connection? Like I can't even play online with other people if I'm in my room due to this and if I'm connected and I go to my room like 3 minutes later it will say that I've been disconnected. Okay, so I'm going to college in August. My mom has offered me to buy a laptop, and since we just sold our old car, we have quite a bit of money to do so. I'd like to keep the price under $2000, though. So, obviously I need one for college work, but I'm also gonna be playing a ton of games on it. I want a laptop that can run smoothly with the latest games, have a decent amount of battery life (4 hours or so), and isn't 5 thousand pounds. So I was thinking something with 4GB of Ram, at least 300 GB on the harddrive, and processing speed of at least 2GHz. After that, I have no idea what to look for. What kind of graphics card is good and such. Oh yeah, I'm probably gonna go with an HP or a Dell. And I think 15-16 inches is a good size for me. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! more

Open Question: My girlfriend broke up with me she still loves me but doesn't trust me what can I do?

Okay will try and keep this as short as possible was with my gorlfiriend for 2 and half years, she is my friend,lover and my soulmate, she is the one I want to settle down with, have kids with and grow old and grey with.....BUT..I'm an idiot!!!! started about a year into my relationship with her, she found some old pictures of an ex girlfriend on my laptop (nothing seedy just general ones) I honestly didn't know they were there, this as you can imagine started a lot of arguments (why is she on there if she is your ex etc) a few months later my girlfriend found out that I was stuck in a mortgage with another ex girlfriend and I didnt tell her (how could I?? I was scared she'd run a mile if she found out so I tried to deal with it myself) yeah I know what an idiot I am!!! should have told her but I got scared... So the arguments kept going on and on,and I tried every way I could to get the ex off the mortgage but the lender would not have any of it. It got to back end of last year, I made a promise that I would sort the mortage out once and for all as my wages finally went up and I wanted us to move on with our lives, get this off our back and finally be happy with each other... so i tried again and again, by christmas time the pressure on me was beginning to show, and I started drinking more and more as a release, we had a big bust up at christmas and since then she has been distant from me, I got worse with drinking, became paranoid that she was cheating, all I wanted was for her to say that things would be okay but she had built up her defences by then and I was slowly hitting rock bottom...anyway she called a month ago to say she needed a break from us as her head needed a re-boot, I understand why, but I was so gutted, it's the hardest thing I've ever done letting her go, but I know she needs to get back to being her again and I'm glad of the break too, I've stopped drinking completly,and feel more alive than I've ever done?? and as I cant get the ex off the mortgage I've put the house up for sale, hopefully wont be long before it's sold. I've text my ex and have opened my heart to her, said that I understand why she broke up with me, and also told her that I love her more than anything in the world and I think we are worth fighting for and I'm never going to give up on us, we do txt each other a bit now and she's been asking when Im back at work (we work in the same building) as she's not seen me for ages, but I dont know what to do?? dont want to constant txt her with me feelings and dont want to go all matcho no contact..."you come to me routine"..it's not me. she's just txt me now about her weekend, says we should go to a new pub she's found together someday (with a kiss on the end) Any ladies out there with any advice for me...I'm kinda lost?? more

MILWAUKEE - Three illegal aliens from Mexico were charged in federal court this week for locally producing and selling fake identity documents. Two face additional charges of unlawfully possessing firearms as illegal aliens. The charges resulted from an investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Julio Hernandez-Navarette, 34; Daniel Santiago-Garcia, 29; and Fany Santiago-Garcia, 26; all of West Allis, Wis., were charged in the Eastern District of Wisconsin for conspiring to manufacture and sell fraudulent immigration and identity documents. Fany Santiago-Garcia and her brother Daniel Santiago-Garcia, were also charged for unlawfully possessing firearms as illegal aliens, which is a felony. According to court documents, ICE agents initiated the investigation in April 2009 after arresting an Italian national who admitted to purchasing fake identity documents. Further investigation revealed that Hernandez-Navarette and Fany Santiago-Garcia met prospective purchasers in public locations where they took their pictures and obtained biographical details. The defendants then returned to two adjoining West Allis residences that allegedly served as the "document mill." ICE agents made under cover purchases of phony Social Security cards, Wisconsin driver's licenses, and alien registration cards, or "green cards," on three occasions in June and December 2009. ICE agents executed federal search warrants on March 2 at the residences, located at 1403 and 1405 South 56th St., and seized alleged document-making equipment and supplies, including laptop computers, a laminate printer, blank paper stock, and fake identity documents. ICE agents also seized a loaded Rossi .38-caliber pistol and more than $22,000 in U.S. currency. "Anyone who knowingly and indiscriminately sells phony identity cards is putting the security of our communities and even our country at risk," said Gary Hartwig, special agent in charge of the ICE Office of Investigations in Chicago. "Counterfeit documents can potentially be used by dangerous criminals and others who try to hide their identities and cover their tracks." Open Question: itunes wont play my ipod shuffle (2nd generation) songs...please help....?

Itunes sees my ipod shuffle(2nd Generation) but won't play its songs. This is new; I've been playing them previously. It plays songs from the other folders but clicking on the play button is unresponsive for the shuffle. I've checked the connections, upgraded itunes to the latest version(9.0.3) and changed USB ports -- same result. but my ipod touch seems 2 be alright...i have 2 ipods touch and the shuffle in question from the same itunes and they all were working just fine until few day back..never have i connected my ipods to any other laptop or itunes...i tried checkin the 'enable disk use' box and then it plays but then the orange light doesnt go whilst the itunes says its ok to disconnect....please help me... more

Open Question: Poor wifi signal with Realtek 8185?

My Realtek 8185 has very poor signal, like 3 bars 3-4 meters from the router. The router is NOT the problem since both my iPhone and dad's laptop get max signal in the same place. I even tried putting my PC right next to the router and it still got 4 and sometimes 5(like 10cm away from it). It's ridiculous. It's starting to piss me off because it sometimes loses signal, right now I have 2 bars.. I think I'll buy a very long ethernet cable since it's the best.. I have the latest drivers. Open Question: Having trouble renewing my norton 360 security?

I bought norton 360 a year ago and downloaded it on my PC, now a year later ive purchased a new laptop that came with another norton 360 disc. My PCs protection needs updating and my new disc is good for 3 PCs, i used the same account registered with both products but when i look at the product through my nortton account it only allows me to buy a "key" under the new norton i bought. Is there a way i can use the new norton disc for my old PC so i dont have to buy another unneccasary update? more

Open Question: Problem with msn can anyone help?

When ever I sign in it says the service is temporarily unavailable try again later.... I went on another account on my laptop and my msn worked then, but now it says the same things. I can use other msns and it will let me sign in but there is 1 msn I always go on, and now it never lets me, it cannot have anything to do with: - The internet connection because I always check to see if there is a connection and there is - Amount of disk space because I deleted loads of files that I dont need Could it have anything to do with viruses? Open Question: Why doesn't my Fn key work anymore?

I just upgraded windows to the latest version of Vista, ultimate. Unfortunately some of my windows functions have been disabled temporarily until i had to manually install them, most of them were of great success but for many of them such as the Fn key didn't seem to work anymore without success in getting it back. FN KEY function now works only with basic tasks such as display brightness reduction and increase display brightness. I used to have a very nice transparent bar on the top of the display everytime i pressed the Fn key. Now there isn't and i am not suprised, i only want to know where i can re-download and install it, PLEASE don't give me the Toshiba website because they don't have it I'VE CHECKED!!!!. I'm using Toshiba P8400 Laptop PSAGCU-03C010, PSAGCE i believe would do. more

Open Question: I have a problem with limited wireless access to my new BT modem.?

I have a new BT modem, the first day I recievedit, I set it up and was connected wirelessly via my laptop with no problems. A day or so later I was only getting a limited access connection on a very strong signal. Both my PS3 and i pod have a wireless connection with out any problems. The only way I can get online now with my laptop is to hard wire it to the modem?? I have tried all the diagnostic tools on windows vista but with no joy?? Can anyone help. Open Question: Why cannot Dell price Desktops more competitively for India?

One can buy a fabulous laptop for a reasonable amount from Dell. Then, why cannot a desktop also be priced more competitively? One only pays for the components in a Dell Computer, and the freight, if one buys from the website. The cost of the components should be heavily subsidized. I refer to the i7 processor. If Dell purchases so many i7 processors, and so many McAfee anti-virus packages, then why are they not purchased by Dell at a heavily subsidized price, from the producers? True, that every component has an additional tax, but it is not stipulated, that the latest processors will be taxed more, than older processors. The taxes are the same for older, and new generation processors. The same for the other components of a PC. I am looking forward to buying a top spec PC from Dell, at a reasonable price in the future. more

Open Question: Does anyone else dislike Aberdeen Proving Ground's Temporary Lodging (Swan Creek Inn)?

I have to say, if you ever have to stay at APGs temporary lodging for more than a month, it's not worth it. The husband and I had to stay in the pet friendly rooms which is the furthest building away. Our dog is small and very house broken, he is obedient and will hold urges until we take him out -- regardless, they asked us to cage our dog if we had to leave (he's only 17 lbs). We decided to just leave him in one of the back bedrooms of the small smokey two bedroom apartment. One day when the maid came, I said she can clean while I did some work on my laptop (it was just me there at the time) and it wasn't much to clean, we didn't even use their beds... and she said "uh we don't do that while you're here". I told her to just change the trash and leave. A day later we had note saying they will be there to clean since we left the do not disturb sign on the door. The rooms smelled of smoke (although they stress no smoking) and the heat is controlled -- it will stay blasting and you have to turn on the AC or open the windows in the winter time. We used our own air mattress, sheets, pillows and towels instead of their beds and towels. They provided us with two bedrooms and a kitchen with unfinished cabinets, the inside had splinters all over it. Needless to say we bought our own paper dishes and cups. The rooms are all circa 1970's we laid sheets down on the couch and sprayed Lysol over the chairs. We had to do the same when we asked to change rooms. The shower was at least clean. They charge an arm and a leg, at least the laundry room is free but not the best. Now, my family and I are going to rent something until we find a decent place to live b/c it is way over priced. more

Ok,just like any other teenage boy,I like playing video games.But thats not just al I do,I bike ride,I play basketball and electric bass as a hobbie and I do my best in school.I have gotten the second best grades in my class.But it looks like my parents don't give a sh*t about that.All they care about is me being bigger and more active but the fact is I am!I am outside almost 10 hours a day.They tell me to go home in an hour but I stay outside longer than that.Then they go and b**ch about how I don't listen to them.Ok so I am a 12 year old boy,my birthday is in almost 5 months.My bedtime is 8:30pm but the fact is,I have had that same f-ing bedtime ever since i was little.I have asked so many times to change it but they're all like "no you'll wake up late and miss school" and junk.Another thing is they think I'm too addicted to playing on the computer.They say I'm always on it,never active and I do bad in school.But as I stated before I have the second best grades in school.For my first term marks I only got 2 B's on it but my dad didn't give a sh*t about it!He is always encouraging me to do my best in school.When I do bad he scolds me but when I do great he doesn't care about it. Also you remember how I said my bedtime is really early(8:30pm)well I like to have the laptop in my room and play on it without my parents knowing.I mean its hard for me to fall asleep as early as 8:30pm.Everytime i say my friends bedtimes are 10 they compare my bedtime to my neighbors which is 7.I have tried soo hard to change my bedtime but everytime I do,its always comparing me to my neighbors.its stupid. I'm going to buy a 15" laptop, and i'm looking Intel Core Duo Processor T6000's series and upwards, but I'm not sure what the difference is and equivalent processors with the Intel-Core i3, i5, i7 etc. I want the latest technology, so could someone please explain how the new Intel-Core i series works and the benefits, and equivalence the to T6000, T7000 etc is? Recently my wireless internet connection randomly drops then reconnects a few seconds to a minute later. Its a 2wire router, and the internet drops on my laptop and on my PS3. Open Question: Alright, what the hell is wrong with my eyes?

So everyday,I'm on my laptop..24/7..I'm on a diet, so...It's not like im obsessed with the internet. And my eyes are very sensitive to light..I've gone to the doctor, tried sunglasses, hats, eye drops, nothing works..But I'm due back to the eye doctor in late 2010 for as they say "improvements in technology" that may help me. Not only that, but..I don't get a lot of sleep..I just can for the life of me sleep at night..I had an eye surgery when i was 6 (I'm 16 now) that was supposed to help me because I had wandering eyes..I had to turn my head to look at things..The surgery was fine.. The only problem was my eyes were more sensitive..Whenever I look up at the sky, I get this..Really strong sensation in my head that makes me close my eyes, and squint for a few seconds..Then I'm fine..I guess you could say I get dizzy..I can't describe it..Have you ever seen the movie spiderman? You know that spider sense he has, and the noise it makes? Well, can you imagine how that must feel? That's what I get.. I don't worry about it..Also, before you read this..I'm just saying this for your benefit..But umm..I do have a LOT of anxiety, and sometimes it leads to paranoia..And I'm convinced I have something I don't, when its really just...something normal. Anyways, my eyes are just..Really unfocused right now, and they can't stay focused in ONE place..They keep wandering beyond my control..This has gone on for about 3, maybe 2 days..What do I do? It's driving me crazy..It's making me think that I'm going blind.. On another note, I went to the doctor for a physical..She said that I needed glasses. Which, alright..I'm fine with..But, NOT EVERYONE CAN READ LINE 6 AND 7 on that stupid board..So I just went "whatever..they're my eyes, they dont know how i see" Yeah, I'm not going to try and diagnose myself with some bullsh*t conditions like I do all the time..I mean..In the end, I always find out i'm wrong, and that its just something common.. But yeah, you be the judge. more

i just installed windows 7 on my laptop this afternoon i finished setting it up then left it off, i came to use it later this evening and realized that there was a red light coming from the headphone jack i ignored it, but thelater on i searched on google and it seem to only be happening to macs, i am using an advent laptop with vista and windows 7 daul booted on so why do i have this problem? my laptop is an Advent 6651, please help i hope its nothing serious like me needing to upgrade hardware lol ok thanks. more

Resolved Question: German WWII Wehrmacht Helmet?

I have a German helmet that my grandpa got in Italy during WWII. My question has to do with the painting on the helmet. I have no doubts about the authenticity of the helmet itself, I have actually been able to locate the fate of the name painted on the inside. His name was Uffz. Kurt Runge and he died in Italy in late 1944 I believe. My question lies with the painting of the Swastika and what appears to be ranking bars on the outside. I have never seen a helmet with hand painting on the outside. It strikes me as odd that a Sergeant in the German army would be allowed to paint on his helmet like that. I took some pictures of the helmet but I had to use my laptop. Somehow the paint shows up much better in the pics than it does in real life. There are chips and dings in the helmet that goes down to the metal. this includes the "new" paint that just don't show up on the pics. I have pictures of the helmet from the 50's with my Grandpa and the paint was on it then. Hi, everyone. I met a girl on a chatroom. We have been talking since the start of December. We haven't yet met, but we plan to soon, hopefully. She lives about 200 miles away from me and we are both 17. We text and chat weekends, but hardly any otherdays because we don't have unlimited minutes :( She says she loves my accent and that i'm a great guy, but we have different personalities. Our personalities are different but we connect very well and get on so well. I have a wireless router (a D-link WBR-2310) and i use it so i can use my iphone's wi-fi thing and my dad's laptop. But unfortunately the wifi keeps cutting off like, it would work fine then like 10 seconds later it cuts off, then 5 seconds later it comes back, then 10 seconds later it cuts off again and etc. On my desktop, the internet works fine though. How do i fix this, my friend says there's a software program to fix this that normally charge you up to 100 bucks to install and i don't want to be scammed just to fix this slight dilemna. more

Just bought a new laptop after my last pc crashed. I have a back-up drive with a lot of my old music files however everything that is on my ipod isn't contained in this back-up drive. Is there a way of simply copying ALL the music from my ipod to itunes on my new laptop? Details the laptop is a Sony Vaio with the latest version of itunes (installed it today) and the ipod is a 16GB Ipod Nano (previous generation to the current one, bought autumn 2008). Open Question: Why isn't my camera on my laptop working?

I have a Samsung Notebook, and when I first got it, it worked fine. However now, a year later, it has a lot of faults! On my desktop you can click on 'Play Camera' which came with the laptop. It then opens up my built in webcam, which is called Digital Motion Camera. Usually I can take photos and record videos using this. A couple of months ago when I recorded a video the sound stopped being recorded. Now when I open it all you can see is black. It won't let me take a picture or anything. Underneath the blackness it says 'screensave disabled'. I dont know what it means but it didn't used to say that. Please can someone help? Also whenever I move me screen backwards or forwards the entire screen just turns white. I always have to have it tilted as far back as possible to use it. i want to change. but its first impressions yeah? i've been at this school since september. not even a year. all the teachers hate me and i know i cant make up for all the bad i've done. i have a lot of friends. i love them to pieces. but im scared im going to do something that will hurt them. just like i've hurt three vulnerable people. but with jack, i didnt mean it. i didnt know him. one of my mates told me him and another guy had a Sh it in a bush, and i went up and asked him. he looked at me, and said no he didnt. then he walked away crying. i didnt know he was like this. i didnt know him at all. i was being my usual dickish self and not caring about anyones feelings. later i got called in a class by a teacher. who told me jack had ran out of school, had to have his parents in and be taken out of school. i was shocked. i didnt know what had come over me, but i wasnt surprised.i hate being that way. so my parents found out, and wiped the floor with me. i've lost lots of privlages, facebook, msn, my laptop, and they lost alot of faith in me. probably the worst thing i could loose. after i found out jack had ran away from school, i thought if he could do it then i could. i was out from 4 till 7. it was pitch black and i was scared Shitless, i didnt know why i was doing it. id had numerous missed calls off moth parents. my dad was on the train from london, after being stuck on a roof, my mum was at home, past herself with worry. they'd said if i didnt come home they'd ring the police and one thing i hate is making a big deal of things. so when i got home i got absolutely bollocked. for being out late, for leaving the house wothout permission, and for running away. they are having a talk with me tonight about my behaviour, and they want to know why i ran. but the truth is, i dont even know myself. I'm sure this question has been asked before but I'm going to ask it again. Currently, I am having problems with FM2010. My younger brother expressed an interest in getting it so earlier this week we went half on it. We both have laptops so I assumed that we could both load the game onto both our laptops. My brother wanted to get the game initially so he first installed the game onto his laptop and he used Steam to install the game. As the Product Key had already been used, I decided to install it offline instead. When I did so, I was informed that the game had installed but with errors and that I should check the installation log. When I tried to load up the game, I got as far as the loading screen before the game cut out, telling me that I got a 10.0.0f80381 error. I browsed through various Football Manager 2010-related forums but none of the suggestions I came across worked. I tried installing an updated DivX, I tried installing Java only to find that I already had the latest Java installed. God help me, I even tried installing the latest nVidia Graphics Card Drive to try and fix the problem. Nothing has worked so far though. To give a further understanding to the problem, here are the specs to my laptop: It's a Windows Vista with Service Pack 2. It's a Hewlett Packard Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC. It has a 3.6 Windows Experience Index: Unrated The Processor is an AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-64 with 2.10 GHz. It has a Memory of 3.00GB in RAM. It's Sytem Type is a 32-bit Operating System. The laptop has Norton 360 installed and also has Steam Installed as well. The game itself was bought in store rather than downloaded. I tried installing using another User Account and also tried verifying the game cache but when I went to Steam and clicked on Properties, I could not find the "Local File" option to do so. I tried all last night to install this game and have run into a brick wall each time and am at my wits end. I am pretty much close to putting my foot through my laptop. Hi I purchased my laptop overseas so the windows is not run in English. (It is fine for me) . I was having fun using an English version of iTunes until I use the multimedia keys on the keyboard.Those multimedia buttons only control the Windows Media Player so I decide to use WMP 11. But I want to change the display language of Windows Media Player to English, I know that I cannot remove/reinstall WMP on Vista. I tried the download at microsoft.com, and it said it is impossible to downgrade the WMP since my computer has the latest version installed. So I got this Acer 6530G laptop in july last year, back then it ran smooth and I had no glitches, about 1 month later it started running slow when I downloaded some new anti virus software for it, so I reset it to before I installed it and it ran smooth again, but recently I turned it on, after installing an anti-virus software and it couldn't even run you tube smoothly it was all choppy and the speakers crackled and when i tried to play a game like WoW it just broke down with 1-3 fps which sucks. I have had the Sims 3 for awile now, and it keeps having problems. The latest one that I can't seem to sort out is that whenever I turn it on, the whole computer resets. My sister just recently got a new laptop and the same disk works perfectly fine for her and also my computer has been having iTunes problems too so I think somethings wrong with my computer and not my Sims 3 disk. I've had my laptop for about 4 months, and I tried to shut it down 45 minutes ago at midnight. Now, after 45 minutes, the fans are still going, full force. How should I force restart it? this guy (i like him.) i've been having problems with for a few weeks handed me a journal, his personal journal, after i bugged him about it for weeks. It was brown and old-looking with a leather string that tied it closed. I opened it and read every page once i got home. He spoke of his problems briefly but he mainly spoke of a girl. He watched her and took many notes but never mentioned her name. That made me wonder if it was about me because there were pretty recent entries. I shut and tied the book closed. Later, my mother told me to get in the car because she had to drop something off to someone. We showed up at an older lady's house. It turned out to be his grandma's house (who he really lives with in real life.). She answered the door and then time stood still. everything froze. I walked right in and went straight to his room. I set the journal down on the left side of his bed, looked around, breathed in his scent, and then turned around and walked out. time restarted when i got to the front door. my mom handed his grandma a laptop and we then we left. the setting suddenly changed and i was outside with a group of friends when my ex (whom i'm still deeply in love with) showed up. the first thing he did was bypass everyone, find me, and hug me for a long while. he had braces (which he doesn't have in real life). we walked away from my group of friends together with his current girlfriend and one of her friends following. his girlfriend looked 12 but had the mentality of a 17 year old (she's 17 in real life). we, my ex and i, ended up laying side by side on a basketball court. his girlfriend kept trying to get his attention but he ignored her for the longest time and at one point said "shut the hell up". he then only payed attention to me and what i said. he couldn't look at me though. he just stared at the sky. his girlfriend and her friend were talking about us. she said something and i turned around and replied back. it obviously offended her because she shut up after that. i turned back over to see a smile on his face. my ex and i said our goodbyes a little while later. we went home. it was dark. i was laying in bed texting my ex. we were talking about getting hurt. he said he hated hurting people but it looked like he was going to have to do it one last time. i asked if that meant he was going to break up with his girlfriend. he replied "yes". i then took the opportunity to say "well...we should get back together.." i woke up before i got a response... :'( Does this mean he's having problems with his girlfriend and wants to get back with me? more

Switch off for a while , adjust the SIM and it works OK .My complaints were not taken seriously . I am very very disappointed. A few days later i purchased a ACER LAPTOP for my daughter from the same outlet. The laptop is unable to connect to the common internet , bsnl broadband.
