Resolved Question: Iphone 3G slow home wifi Connection?

I have an iphone 3G 8GB, service with rogers wireless. My router is the cisco-linksys WRT160NV3. I tweaked the router settings and it seemed to speedup for a short amount of days and since past 2-3 days certain gaming apps it notes "unable to reach internet" even when the wifi bars are full, and youtube is incredibly slow on loading time and searching videos, safari runs slow too.My router is connected to my desktop, the laptop and the xbox 360 and the router is placed near a 5.8ghz Vtech cordless phone. My Iphone is updated to the latest update from apple also and i have tried resetting the network settings on the phone too but no luck :( These are my settings configured for the router : security - WPA Personal [just changed it to that from WEP due to issue] Advanced settings = AP Isolation - Disabled Frame burst - enabled Basic Rate - Default transmission rate - auto N transmission rate - auto CTS protection mode - auto Beacon interval - 50 DTIM interval - 1 fragmentation threshold - 2305 RTS threshold - 2304 wireless network = mode - mixed channel width - 20MHZ only channel - 11 SSID broadcast - enabled Please help ASAP. more

I had a toy as a kid, it was a teal/green laptop looking thing that a robot came on and said "choose an activity" and its driving me crazy. Resolved Question: what is the best laptop toy for a toddler? which do you have?

Since my son, 19 m/o likes to play with my computer, I was thinking about getting him one. if not for xmas, his bday. I saw the baby learning laptop by vtech, but I'd something a bit more realistic and closer to his age range (that one is for 6 months and up). I saw a vtech animal friends laptop, which is for 18 months and up, but the screen seems so small! Which one do you have, or which one would you recommend for this age? Resolved Question: Need Help FAST with 97 Prelude, need a cheap engine to put in?

Took in the 1997 prelude Vtech I just bought and love because it was heating up everytime I used the a/c and blew a few radiator hoses I was able to fix myself. Turns out I have exaust going through my cooling system or something and he thinks I need I new motor (The fans weren't turning on and the a/c worked with out heating on the freeway so I thought it was it but its assumed I blew a head gasket or something and also a pully is a little wobbly god help me). I am a student who can afford tuition as it is. Can someone please help me quick with cheaper motors I can buy to put in since the Vtechs are expensive (as much as I love them I just had my laptop stolen from my car yesterday and already cant pay college bills) any help asap would be very appreciated. Resolved Question: i bought a new landline phone and it is interfering with my router signal. what can i do?

if i am on the laptop and on the phone my signal goes out. it cannot find the network. when i cut the phone off it comes back. it is a new phone. a vtech 2.8 ghz. my old one was a v tec 5.8 ghz. what's up with this?? iss there something simple i can do to fix it??hey joe r- the reason i got the 2.4 ghz phone is because i have a tiny apt and the larger 5.8 had static constantly. the salesguy told me i needed the smaller one b/c i was always so close to the cradle. so that's why i didnt get a DECT phone. if you have any advice about the static please enlighten me. thanks!! more

I had this Vtech toy that I got in the mid 1990s. It looked kind of like a little laptop computer and it was red and blue. It had all math and spelling games on it. Voting Question: When a child surpasses a parent?

Today my ex stopped by after work to see our son who turned 4 today. While he was here, my son wanted to show him what he had gotten for his birthday. My MIL had given my son money in a card for his b-day (she is elderly and unable to get out shopping) with that my son bought a VTECH learning laptop with Cars games. The games are all very educational, mostly math and reading and spelling. Well, my sons dad is illiterate. He cannot read or write much more than his own name. Like most people who suffer from illiteracy, he had hidden it very well for years when we were together. The problem is now that our kids are 4 & 5, and learning to read and write, they are surpassing their own dad in these areas. My son was so excited about showing his dad his games, and there was my 4 year old reading the instructions to his 32 year old dad who couldnt read them for himself. And I am not talking anything really involved, the age on these games is 4 and up. I am not sure how to handle this issue with my kids, any ideas would be great.i tried to help him learn for years when we were together, he flat out refuses to learn how, or allow anyone to teach him more

Resolved Question: i am considering homeschooling for my almost 3 yr old and, in time, my now almost three month old. need advic?

i am a single mom in college, and i am planning on working full time but my mother who desperatley wants to be at home with my girls all day wants to home school. we live ic NC now but we are moving back to DC once i finish these degrees that i am working on. what sort of things should i do to prepare her? my oldest daughter can count to 20 in english and spanish, she can count to three in mandarin chinese, and can say quite a few phrases in both chinese and spanish. she sings songs and learns them very quickly. she can speak in almost perfect complete sentences although she is almost three so the actual words are a bit difficult understand. she is also learning to read and write. she just got the vtech tote and go laptop and it teaches letter and number recognition and the sounds the letters make and tons of other things. she has the your baby can read program and it seems like it may help. it does the same things that i have been doing with her since she was about 4 months old. she knows the abc song, twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider, etc all of her colors even light and dark (ie light green dark green), even peach. she can draw almost anything (she can draw ELMO). and knows all of letters in sign language. she knows the difference between nost of the big cats (tigers, jaguars, lions, etc), most ost of her animals and can draw a dog and a wolf that actually look like a dog and a wolf. she enjoys cartoons, and pretend time. she currently believes that she is a mermaid princess. i just dont know what else i need to do, i am a stay at home mom right now with an almost preschooler and an almost 3 month old. what can i do to prepare my mother for homeschooling my daughters and convince her that she needs to move with us to continue their schooling once we move? ANY suggestions are welcome.she also knows her shapes, directions and most oppositesand of course my personal fave, she can operate my cell phonemy reason for wanting to homeschool my children is that my oldest can learn most things quickly and some things more slowly. i want them to learn as much as possible at their own pace. i was, believe it or not, VERY bored in elementary school it wasn't until middle that i felt more comfortable and challenged enough to succed in school. i want to homescol through elemtary school. we have a large ext. family with lots of kids and i would love to have them interact with them mostly. i have few friends here (very small town) and most of themhave kids so they would get interaction. but for now oldest daughter is inlove with learning, it is all fun for her. she loves music and drawing so we draw anddance write and sing and play football and soccer. i was thinking of pursuing my bs/ms through GWU in DC online if i can take it from here. that would give my girls the time to get through elementary school so my mom wouldn't have to move. more

Hi, Can u suggest me books regarding ECU tuning and remapping for beginners. I m an automotive engineer of Carburettor times and not i need to learn how to tune (Performance tune / Normal) EFI automotive ECU's regarding fuel maps, setting of VTECH engaging RPM's, fuel cut, rev limiter, setting the closed loop operation, Setting timing, pulse width of injectors, Reading data from narrow band O2 sensors as well as the necessary hardware i need and so on. Right now i have only a Laptop... I hope u people understand that i just need a quick start so that i can jump into the world of tuners because i have an automotive background as well as Software programmer too. My biggest waste's have been a styling head for my 4 year old..who loves doing hair and makeup by the way/...she just never played with it once...also a dolls house...she has had 2 and not played with either! Her bike is sadly neglected too...she would rather walk to the park....she LOVES anything that looks like a laptop...so computer based games like her Vtech Dora laptop was a good buy as was her Media Centre which plugs into my Laptop and allows her to colour in picturs and dsesign cards etc....what about you? more

I have adopted a little girl for chrismtas so she can have a christmas she would not have. I did not get her size in clothing and was able to conract the faimly. I spoke to her grandmother who is her caregiver and she told me how sick this child was. she is 8 years old and has been in and out of school. one of the things she requested is a vtech learning laptop. I cant buy her that and I really want to. My 33 month old Daughter knows all of her ABC she recognizes them as well for example: her Vtech laptop asks her to press upper case and lower case letter and she know where they are. Also she know Family members names, She counts to 15. She knows About 50 plus words. She says Thank You, I Love You, What's That... Shoes.. nose.. etc... but she doesn't talk completely. She tries to repeat what she hears. But she still does not talk in sentences. it only one or two words at a time. We speak English, Spanish and occasionally watch Hindi movies and Listen to music.. She tries to sing in all Languages! Should i be worried that she doesn't talk like other kids? more

Resolved Question: How can I block wireless signals from each other?

So, I have several wireless items in my room and its not really a option to remove them, nor could I replace them. I have a wireless mouse for my desktop (Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0), a wireless phone on the same desk (Vtech 2.4GHz no clue model), a laptop (Acer Travelmate 2420, but doesn't use wireless internet), and a wireless keyboard and mouse set for my laptop (Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110). The two mouses sit beside each other, but they aren't affected in anyway. Basically nothing here is affected other than the wireless keyboard. The logitech wireless receiver is on my tower, and my Microsoft receiver is about 2 meters away. The keyboard keeps repeating letters constantly, or not respond to my typing. The batteries are fine, and I've taken really good care of it, sort of still looks like its fresh out of the box. I can't really afford anything to stop this, and mailing to back to get it fixed isnt a option. Its secure from other things too... Help please.Thn more

I recently purchased a new 5.8ghz GE cordless telephone system. We had an old VTech 900mhz which the buttons went out on. Anyways, now we our wireless DSL signal, which is sent through Linksys 2.4ghz router, kicks us off when we receive an incoming telephone call. In fact, if we are on the phone and the phone is either near one of the laptops or between the laptop and router, the wireless signal can't even be found. Can anyone help?? more
