Resolved Question: I have Adobe cs3 master with install disc. How many times can I download it?
It came on a laptop I bought from a corporate closeout. The install cd came with it and is orig Adobe software with a serial#. If I am not the original purchaser of the software and my computer crashes, can I use the install disc to download the program on another computer and if so how often? I know this may be a dumb question, but I don't understand how this works. Thanks.

My HP dv7 fits in the specifications of laptops they say will fit but when I go "Will my laptop fit?" all of HP's dv7's are not in the list. Anyone have any advice?

My grandma wanted to get my 1/2 brother a laptop for his 13th b-day (in dec) & xmas. She pitched in $260 for bday & $260 for xmas = $520. Gma asked his dad to help w/$$ so he could have a decent laptop instead of a cheapy, he agreed. Our mom took the $ went & got him a $399 laptop at BigLots instead of waiting for his dad to help look. This all took place in 1 week. I asked my brother how much his laptop was. Gma had told him a month ago that he was getting $250/$250 for each occassion for his laptop, but he had forgotten. When he said $399 (about $430 w/ tax) I told him mom got $520 from Gma and asked if mom gave him the difference. She did not, she also did not give the extra to Gma. She instead used it to pay her cedit card bill. My bro confronted her in therapy and the therapist said I was sticking my nose where it doesn't belong and now the whole family is in an uproar. I didn't think it was something that should be kept a secret because he had already been told how much he was to be given, he simply forgot. He's mad at mom, mom's mad at me, therapist is mad at me, Gma is upset because mom told her she used it all on the laptop, and his dad is upset because it is a subpar, closeout model w/ no returns. Was I wrong? (PS... mom had a histoy of "borrowing" $ from my brother until he stared carrying a wallet)

I found a great price on a laptop in a major retailer's ad. I made the long trip to the store and found out it was out of stock. I asked if I could order the item. The clerk said it could not be ordered, and was not sure if it was discontinued. The laptop had more features than some of the newer, more expensive ones, so I knew that it was not discontinued. I asked for a rain check. She gave me an explanation that made no sense. Then she said that she would need to "get permission to write the rain check." The retailer's ad said nothing about "closeout" or "while quantities last." So, I was given a rain check. Well, I know very little about rainchecks. I've tried checking online for more info...no luck. Does anyone know if I should expect the retailer to contact me or what my rights are...Thanks!
