I'm preparing to buy a Verizon Wireless phone (the LG Env3, as I am a texter through and through) and I'm getting the 25MB/month data plan (so I can create and send myself my own ringtones, which requires internet access) but it says the plan comes with Mobile E-Mail. Now, does having the program provide a constant drain on my data usage? I have 2 dreadfully busy e-mail accounts and if having the program is just going to sap my 25MB without my knowledge then I will refrain from getting it. I know there's the option of getting unlimited data for like 20 bucks a month extra but I'm not online on my phone nearly enough for that (I have an iPod Touch that gets wifi and a laptop...kind of overkill to have a phone like that as well). I have the 42PG20 LG TV and I just purchased a Laptop Cumputer with HDMI, I hooked the computer to the TV via (I tried all 3 HDMI connection ports), I then turned on the cumpter then the TV then when to the TV remote to input and then to HDMI 1,2,&3. None of them produced sound, Picture is fine just no sound. So I'm looking for a new laptop for univeristy next year and one that can be used as a gaming laptop as well. My LG mobile phone keeps turning off and on and freezing all the time it’s the black kinda laptop phone if u know what I’m on about, it also has a touch screen just for typing in numbers fast and looking up my contacts ye surely know what I’m on about by then. MY BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED AND THE PHONE IS ONLY 9 M0NTHS OLD so it can’t be effecting it already what ever soft ware is doing to it. On my lg vu i go to settings. and then hit the more button (its the button with the +) i hit connection. then usb connection. i hate data service. and then i plug it in. it always makes the noise so i know it connects. i then go into my computer and i can not see the vu on there. does anyone know how to fix this please! more

Voting Question: Why wont my music show up on my phone?

I recently purchased a MicroSD card by Sandisk from Radioshack. I took it home and, using the card-port I have on my laptop and the adapter it came with, I inserted the chip into my computer and began syncing music to it, using Windows Media Player. The syncing went just fine and I had all my songs on the card in no time. However, when I went to plug it back into my phone (an LG Rumor from U.S. Cellular) none of the music was visible and it said my library was empty. However, going into my settings and checking my card memory, it said it was HALF full, which means all of my songs were actually on the card but they don't actually show up so I can play them. What's more, I formatted the chip and did the same thing as above and still no progress. The funny thing is, I can take a picture, let's say, and store it on my SD card and than insert the card into my computer and I can see the picture right there on my laptop. SO, the card is having no trouble storing files or transferring files, it's just the phone won't recognize that there are actually files on it!! It's very frustrating and I hope someone can help me out! more

Voting Question: Spyware on laptops and mobile. LG renoir started acting bizzarely - it said 90 % of memory was "external?

it said it had a U.S.B. connected. It didn't - well not to the handset! So a few percent of memory was phone, same for SIM and memory card and majority was "external". it locked me out of my contacts and seemed to have a roaming history i had never used (googlemaps etc). the mobile (an LG Renoir) even displayed and seemed to be working ( though not for calls etc) without the SIM! don't know too much about spyware but my old laptop was also being operating remotely. privacy settings were changed back as soon as i changed them so i noticed then. My ex boyfriend bought Norton 360 and also Tech Guys assistance but afterwards I discovered that the laptop was then allowed to be operated remotely by this software. So that might be why the remote assistance continued... the system wip never took v long anyway! The spyware was on my work laptop, home laptop and phone. The phone was dialling data call numbers but I don't know why or to whom. the vista laptop put its own system in and deleted the regular windows as soon as I tried to stop it. Each time (cos lots of time the search view was different so the icons would've been changed. it ended with a blank scrren with only "Ease of Access" the disability program on it, I'd love an explanation - some money went out of my account but it seeemd to be for spying rather than cash. Notepad and/ or wordpad took a log of everything that went on or that I did. The hacker or whatever was also someone attached to the user name with parental responsibilities and therefore couldn't be deleted. At work they said 1/3 of hard drive had been destroyed so they did a system wipe on harddrive. The L.G. is broken. apparently it had been submerged in a bathtub or cup. I know this didn't happen. please can technical people help i will be forever in your debt xxxxxx more

Voting Question: My TDK DVD+R 8.5GB DL's aren't burning properly...help, pls?

Hi All, I've unsuccessfully tried to burn some .avi files of lectures on to these dvd's on my LG lightscribe burner. The vids are actually readable on the DVD but the volume on the audio is low, and the dvd's don't seem to spin so well once in the hard drive as my hard drive becomes very noisy. Any ideas? I've tried burning on all speeds from 2.4x to 8x and no difference. (I've got an older Hitachi hard drive on my laptop and the DVD's aren't even being read there.) Thanks in advance. more

Yesterday my friend came over for a while and as soon as she stepped into my room, she sniffed and said, "You're spoiled! My parents would never buy me any of this!" First of all, the only furniture I have in my room is a bed right now! Because we just painted it after 9 years of living in the house. Average Sprint/LG cellphone (Rumor) Clothes: Mostly Gap and Old Navy Some Target and Costco 3 very special outfits from BP for special occasions House 3 bedroom 1 bathroom 1 kitchen (lol) average dining room sort of big living room 2 hallways (one entry way, one hallway) 1 story house (live in LA) I got 20 items for Christmas, but what we do in my house is we get lots of inexpensive little gifts and then one big 'star' gift. This year we were VERY blessed because our family has been doing pretty well and we got iPods, cameras, and Madame Alexander dolls. Please tell me, am I spoiled? I'm very grateful for all my things and I do my own laundry and help my mom with pretty much everything. more

Resolved Question: How do I transfer songs to an SD Card with Verizon V Cast?

I recently purchased a new cell phone, an LG VX8360. I bought a 4 GB micro SD card to use with the cell phone, and an adapter that lets me use the micro card with the full size SD slot in my laptop. The issue is when I use the V CAST Media Manager there isn't an option to transfer the music to the SD card, only to phone or CD. I was wondering if there was an option I need to check or a setting anywhere to let me transfer music to an SD card on my laptop, or if I need to buy the USB cord to connect my phone to the laptop, and leave the SD card in the phone. (My phone didn't come with the USB cord). Also, is there a specific format the music needs to be in? MP3 or WMA? I thought I could use either, but then I found an old article that said that you can only use WMA, but that was dated 2007. The manual that comes with this phone SUCKS.EDIT: I figured it out. There's two different programs, V CAST and V CAST With Rhapsody. I needed the latter. The only way to transfer the songs is through the V CAST With Rhapsody software, and I do need a USB cord. I don't know if Rhapsody converts the formats or not, but I loaded .mp3's and .wma's with no issue. Thanks for the quick reply, though. more

It worked for my notebook which is a HP mini, but it doesn't work for my sister's notebook which is LG. when I go to network connections, in my notebook there are two connections under LAN or high speed internet, and wireless network connection is on and that's what i am using right now and it works perfectly. but under my sister's notebook's wireless network connection it says NETWORK CONNECTION UNPLUGGED, how can I fix this? and again my PC does not have a router and i am using my neighbor's..thanks more

Resolved Question: How to set up Sony Vaio HDMI out display on NW265F laptop to LG television?

I have a Sony Vaio laptop with an HDMI out. Specifically its model number VGN-NW265F. I can't seem to figure out what settings are optimal for HD output to my LG 37LG50 television. Its currently set to 1280x720 pixels for resolution, but I had to do some messing with the aspect ratio to get it to look the best on the television. With the resolution its at now, it looks MUCH better on the laptop than on the television and theres visible differences on the coloring and everything. I just hooked my Inspiron 1501 laptop up to my tv, which is a LG (Dont know the model #) with the VGA input. Worked like a charm, then I had an error later on my laptop where the screen went black so I held down the power button to restart. When I restarted the computer, I either get NO SIGNAL or Invalid Format popping up on the screen when I select RGB-PC on my tv, and the black bars are on my computer. I already tried changing my screen resolution, it does not work. more
