Open Question: How to watch youtube video via wifi network on HTC Touch2?

I am having a problem with my wifi connection to youtube. This is a new HTC touch2 phone and all the settings on it have been automatically updated since the first use. I am on T-Mobile pay-monthly at the moment and I can only watch video on m.youtube.com via T-Mobile internet package which is extremely expensive. When I switch to My Work Network(which is supposed to be my home wifi connection), it says something like "Streaming media: failed to find network". I don't know if my connection settings are correct but I can surf the web normally via my home wifi connection with the phone-mode turned off (to make sure that the only connection to the internet is via my home wifi network). I would like to know how to fix this error and watch video on youtube via wifi connection. Many Thanks more

Open Question: How does this network work, and how would I discover the logins?

It is a wired network (no wireless) with more than a hundred windows desktop computers, and several hundred windows laptops connecting. There is a companion wireless network, but it is just for guests and students personal computers. Each "user" has a network drive that can store about 25 GB worth of data. These drives can be accessed from the wireless network too, via a samba share. The administrators can access any of the other drives as well as their own. The same user can log onto more than one computer at a time, but the local settings (desktop) do not change over the network. I am interested in how exactly this network works. Are all of the computers running off a central server? what makes the computers connect to a certain network drive? and how do the computers know the login information if a "netuser" command returned only the system defaults? Purely as an educational exercise, I am also interested in how one might go about finding the login details of other users. As far as I can tell, the passwords are not saved on each of the individual computers. Any help is greatly appreciated.I forgot to mention, I would also like to know if SSH-ing into the computers, both from inside the network and outside is possible. Thank you for your help more

Resolved Question: Why wont my wireless stay connected?

Ok people i am not an idiot when it comes to computers by any means, but i can not figure out why my wireless wont stay connected. Here's the problem. My laptop wont recognize the wireless connection until i go to (im running windows xp btw and a belkin router) "change advance settings" and under the "wireless networks" tab i then check the box that says "use windows to configure my wireless network settings" once i apply these setting BOOM the wireless is connected in just seconds. Then moments later it disconnects for a few seconds and then reconnects and then continues this cycle until i go back into the advanced settings while the connection is recognized and UN-CHECK the box that lets windows configure my wireless network settings. then, and only then does the wireless connection stay on indefinitely. but eventually i need to turn my laptop off and then when i turn it back on i have to repeat the cycle again. Although this truly is becoming a pain in my butt I am willing to continue doing the process if there is no other way around it, but this cant be the only solution to this problem. i've reset the router and modem both and still have this issue. please please please if someone knows how i can fix this problem i would be very appreciative. thanx for your help in advance! more

My Home work PC (from Dell) Was working fine! A month ago It randomly just screwed up! I keep it nice I have Spyware watcher to keep viruses and stuff off it, It was never slow or anything It Goes to the point where the box says "Push alt-curl-Delete" I enter my password and login it says "Opening your network settings" about 3 seconds after that My wallpaper shows up but a box shows up saying "closing network settings"! and send me right back to the "alt-cult-delete" box. I've waited in case it was glitch I doubt this is the problem but I got a new Flat screen at christmas and set it up as the PC screen, but the tower never seemed to have a problem with that, Any help? or suggestions? I recently install cod4, playing online ofcourse, i get around 80-125 fps ingame for about 1min, then it just drops down to 20-40 and stays that way. Open Question: How can I change my network bridge's IP? Easy 10 points!?

I use my laptop and an ethernet cable to connect my Xbox to Xbox Live. Every now and then (roughly once or twice a day). My network bridge will go down, and just stops working. I went to diagnose and repair, and chose "Automatically get new IP settings for the adapter "Network Bridge", but after numerous attempts, i haven't been able to automatically get new settings. I am running Vista 64 bit Home Premium. How can I manually set a new IP for my network bridge? Also, I have tried the Command Prompt things, which have also been to no avail. Open Question: Internet Connection Problem,help?

Ok,i Had posted a question earlier about a Wireless authentication time out ,I was able to fix that through changing the encryption type to WPA2-PSK instead of what i was using, WPA-PSK.(Which didnt let me connect at all) As I had mentioned before I had done a system restore.Now that I use the wpa2 encryption I can connect to the router but I continue to get Multiple Networks then it switches to Unidentified network. Then it will try to identify the network again and it will come up the same way I have automatically got new IP settings for the adapter and that didnt work,nor did Resetting the adapter. Open Question: Windows XP Icons Dont Work?

My secretary has reported to me that her desktop icons don't work and she can not print. Under "Start" nothing works either. I have already ran Symantic End Point v11.5 and malwarebytes, spybot on that machine. I also removed the HDD and and docked it to my laptop and ran the same scans and found nothing. i have made sure that my symantic and malware, spybot is up to date. i plug the hdd back in and found nothing. I removed the hdd, formated and did a fresh install. After i did all updates, network settings, printes and programs needed i migrated her data over and it did the same thing. i ran scans on the pen drive that had her data and found nothing. i can not tell her her data is lost due to purchasing and paroll issues. Has any one seen this? more

Help :/ My Computer wont boot up properly, It starts up, With "Hi-grade" then "Windows Error Recovery" comes up on the screen and says " Windows failed to start. Then after a while the screen goes black then flashes blue and i can only get a quick flash of it saying "Your computer is at risk" with numbers on the bottom of the screen. the blue flash and writing is only on the screen for not even 2 seconds, I have tried the 3 steps above and still the same:/, if anyone could help i would be extremely grateful :) more

Hi, We have two broadband connection in our office. Connection1: This is the primary connection, and the local hosting server is connected in this network. So we use this connection for the internet and for development work. Connection2: This is a stand-by connection in case connection1 internet is down. Problem: When connection1 is down, we will not be able to connect to the internet, but have access to the local hosting server. To access internet we have to switch to connection2. This is a lot of work. Is there a way to access 2 networks at the same time. Hardware: Both the connections are connected through a router. Okay, I've been at this for hours. I'm on my laptop right now (the one this new desktop was supposed to be replacing). We have a Netgear Router and have tried nearly everything to get it up and running with this new computer. It has Windows 7 Home Premium in it. I keep getting the same error: the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network. We've tried restarting the router, clearing all the network connections in the new computer and connecting again but nothing works. It actually removed the software from the computer the router is hooked up to. After installing it again, nothing seems to be working, still. I'm getting very frustrated. What the hell is wrong with this? I hear many other people have had this problem.It's a Wireless LAN setup. No cables. more

Okay so I recently just got a new hp wireless printer, and I am trying to set up the wireless feature. Once I get to the last step it says: "Unable to communicate with your printer at this time. This may be caused by firewall. If you are using firewall software, verify UDP port 427 is unblocked from your printer to your PC. If you reconfigure the firewall, click retry to see if the network communication is unblocked, or click next to continue." I do use firewall. So I opened it up and went to allow program. On the enable settings I clicked HP. I really don't know what to do... I even turned off firewall to see if it would let my printer work... but it didn't! :( I just really need help because I need to make a presentation of graphs for math, and type up my final copy on my biography! more

Open Question: My iPhone 3GS is on dfu mode and can't get out, what can I do?

I bought the iPhone 3GS from someone from Kijiji. It was running 3.1.2 and it was jailbroken and unlocked, when I reset the network settings, it was in a constant loop of turning on and showing the Apple logo then turning off. So I tried restoring it and halfway it stopped and showed me the dfu mode. When I connect to itunes, I put in my sim card and it says its not an eligible sim card. I don't know what carrier it is locked to but I would defenitely want to use it without jailbreak at least. Should I go to the Apple Store for them to restore or is there another way? more

Ok, I have a belkin G router that works perfectly when the network is unsecured. Open Question: I have an iPod Touch 3G that can't "see" wifi networks. Please help?

The wifi on the ipod is turned on but no networks are detected. I have an apple wireless router in my house and both of my laptops can see and connect to the wifi without any problem. When i go to Settings > Wi-Fi the wifi is on. I try typing in the network name under "Other..." along with the security type and password but still nothing. Any suggestions? more

Open Question: How to install network HP Color LaserJet 2600n for Win7X64?

I'm kinda answering my own question and wanted this solution to be out there because i couldn't be bothered to register with forums just to post it. 1. I installed HP PCL5 Universal Print Driver with dynamic settings 2. Keyed in the IP of the printer, it detected and installed, but test page didn't print. 3. Download HP Driver and install but left hanging at "attach USB" phase. 4. Run windows Add Printer, Windows detected and installed automatically. 5. Remove Universal Print Driver (it appears on ur printer folder) 6. Cancel HP Driver installation. I would think windows obtained the driver from the Universal Printer Driver but it could also be the HP Driver installation since the inf extracted to a temp folder. But the former is more likely. If you are confused, i ran two installation utility, one was universal and one was printer specific. So i have no idea which driver windows took but it works in the end. :D The printer works fine now. I got printing pref and all.I did goto the HP forums to read up. But it IS a pain and i decided not to register. HP should have released a proper driver for their product anyway. more

For the past few days, my iTouch hasn't been connecting to my home Wifi network. I go to the Wireless Settings and it shows that it is connected, but the wifi icon doesn't appear in the corner. I've tried turning it off and on, and all the rest of my computers are connecting just fine. Please help! more

Okay I just bought SVR 2010 and every server has one red bar. Now I Broadband, and whenever I play any other games online I have great connection. And I checked my connection over the network settings and I have full bars. Its just this game that doesn't work :/ any ideas? more

My Macbook Pro is connect to the internet using my Droid (Verizon Wireless phone). I setup my Macbook Pro to be a wireless router. I had no trouble connecting my iTouch to this network, however, my roommate is unable to connect his Windows Vista PC to the network. Resolved Question: Kicking a person's computer off a wireless connection?

So my sister's annoying bf aka her man toy comes over a lot. He believes that just because he's dating her or what I should say is sleeping with her and has a pretty boy image. That he can just bring his laptop over and connect to my wireless network. The asshole has already done reset my router with out my permissionso I had to reset it again with new settings. I then had to reset the router again for some odd reason it just quit putting out a signal. Anyways so now he hit me up again for the new password. Now I don't mind her connecting to the wireless because we r family, however, I do not like him and would rather him not log on. I do pay for the cable bill. Its a D-Link wireless N. It has the two antennas in the back. Yes I know my choice for the D-link sucked, but budget was tight. Is there a setting in the homepage of the router that I can play tricks on him by kicking his laptop off or make it where he can't connect? I had previously been trying to connect my xbox wirelessly to the internet and think it may have caused the problm i tried allowing other network users to control or disable the shared internet connection and ticking all the boxes. when this stopped the internet i restored the factory settings but it still doesn't work. can you please explain it really simply because i don't know much computer jargon. more

Open Question: Where is the problem in my PC build?

My PC sometimes has poor frame-rates in World of Warcraft but gets better after a few seconds. I thought my system would be well and truly above anything WoW could throw at it, but apparently not. I'm only running wow at medium-high settings. It gets OK frames in Bad Company 2, NFS Shift, Crysis etc. Does anyone know why the hell it says "Shared system memory 1783 MB" under graphics? I am using a comunal wireless router from a hotel located above my flat. it has worked for the past two weeks, but gives me a very unsatisfactory "could not connect" when i try to connect now. My room mate is able to connect no problem (we both run windows vista) and my laptop IS able to connect to other wireless networks (at school for example). i tried resetting the ip address, i removed the network and re-configured it using the same settings that my room mate is able to use to connect but to no avail. any help? thanks in advanceI have 4-5 bars of reception, i dont think that is the issue. good idea though more

Open Question: My iphone has been frozen on the apple loading screen for the past hour. What can I do to unfreeze it?

I was browsing the internet when all of a sudden it said I could not "activate cellular data network". It froze up and when I tried holding the home and lock button like one normally would, it just froze up on the apple loading screen. I have tried several times to unfreeze it this way and it has not worked. The computer which has the itunes that I usually plug into recently got a virus so I can't plug in to that one. Instead I tried plugging my iphone to my laptop but itunes just gave me the option of restoring it to factory settings. Is this the only option I have? I'd love to take it to the apple store but it's jail broken and have no idea what they'd say if they saw that... Any help is welcome. But before anyone says that I should hold the lock and home button, like I said, I've already tried that.. more

However, one computer requires a user-name and password when being accessed from a different local computer. The computer being accessed has no user name or password, though. Open Question: Laptop doesn't connect to a "secured" network...!! pls help!?

I have 3 laptops at home and only my laptop doesn't work when connected to a secured network. Now it works perfectly with unsecured networks. I'm typing in the correct passcode and everything and was on the phone with my airlink router company for 1 hour. They said that it is an internal settings issue that should be enabled.. something small. Something like (enable DHCP server or something under the registry as per the airlink tech). I use a gateway MT6730 laptop. Please someone help me. I'm bout 3 months out of the gateway warranty and I asked one computer shop and they know nothing about it. Voting Question: Wifi problems with the iPod touch?

When I go to the settings menu on my unit and turn on wifi the network shows up and i am able to connect. But then when I go to safari and try to open a web page the screen goes gray and it says connecting... Then when i go to mail and press update it says cannot connect to imap.gmail.com. Voting Question: Why wont my wireless internet ask me for the password, or the wep key?

ITS MAKIN ME ANGRY!! i have my wireless settings on my laptop and i try to select my network and it will "connect" to the network but it will say that it cant "certify" or something like that. IT WONT LET ME CIRTIFY IT! i try to go into the advanced properties and manualy put it in, but it still wont cirtify it. So just for giggles i selected my neighbors network and as soon as i selected it IT ASKS ME FOR THE PASSWORD!! but it wont do that for my network! i don't understand. is there another backdoor way to get in? ive tried turning on and of my wifi and my router and modem, ive removed it from the lists of wireless networks.
