Open Question: More than a friendship...or just in my head?

Your Question More than a friendship...or just in my head? I have this friend of mine that I've known for about 4 years now. I worked at the same chain retail store, but a different location. I caught notice of him when he stated he had recognized me from before shopping in his store. First glance, I knew I always wanted to be more than friends. He has attended my high school graduation a few years back, gone to July 4th fireworks together, bought gifts for each other, movies, dinners, trips to San Francisco a couple times, and so forth. There have been a couple times where I have asked him for us to be more than friends but it seems like he gives me excuses. A couple of them, "Jacqueline, we are only friends. You gave me the friend vibe when we first met. I don't understand...you deserve a guy so much better than me. What do you possibly see in me?" Another time at a later date, about a year and half back Jay tried persistently while he was drunk to make a move on me. He started making out with me, but I shot him down because he was drunk. Shortly after that incident, about a month later while I was at work I received a couple voice mails on my cell concerned about her son's whereabouts. Jay did call home, but stated to his mom that he was walking to the airport where I work because I am the only one that cares about him deeply and loves him. One time I did not go to the store with him because I was sitting in his sister's room having a great personal conversation. "C'mon Jacqueline! Are you going to the store with me or not?" I politely reply no, that I'm comfortable and I'll still be here when he gets back. He finishes getting ready to go, comes back in the room and says, "Jacqueline, quit playing! Let's go!" I told him no, he left and his sister stated to me at the time that I made him very upset. He came back about an hour later and had very little to say to me. I continued on to go to work that evening. Now about a year after this incident his mom busts him out right when I walked into their house. His mom says, "Tell the girl! she has the right to know, she needs to know! Tell her Jay!" I'm puzzled after just walking through the door 20 seconds prior. he wouldn't say nothing, so his mom tells me that the time where I didn't go to the store with him, that later that night after I left, he got so upset that I didn't go and started crying. "Okay mom, now she knows, can we just move on?" He cried over me not going to the store with him...? Why so? The most recent incident was yesterday evening when I was driving back from the San Francisco bay area after visiting a pilot friend of mine. I received a called from him, he was questioning my whereabouts, then he was like, "...I know all your closest friends. Must be more than a good friend to drive 200 miles just to see him for a few hours." I elaborated a little more to him that it was only 80 miles each way, and I was trying to see a best friend of mine and also my networking pilot friend for help with the start of my aviation career. Seems like a little jealous possibly? There have been other small incidents like when we go out to dinner and he will say, "I don't want the waiter to be spitting in our food-adding their own special recipe. Look at that interracial couple..." imitating the worse case scenario of a waiter's ideas (in his frame of thought). He did start working at the airport recently in the same terminal, but a different airline, always concerned what time I'm coming to work and when I get a break. His mother calls me her daughter-in-law and he is okay with me calling her "Mom". He's even suggested it out of his mouth that it is okay...though I have never called her "mom" yet. The whole family loves me, even his nieces, nephews, and aunts. We talk about every day, and typically at least 30min a day on the phone, not including if we hangout at work later that day, then he wants me to call him when I get home to make sure I get in okay. And yes, there are a few text messages throughout the day as well. Does it seem like he likes/loves me? Does he care for me as a friend? How about more than a friend? Is it just in my head? Voting Question: Laptop doesn't connect to a "secured" network...!! pls help!?

I have 3 laptops at home and only my laptop doesn't work when connected to a secured network. Now it works perfectly with unsecured networks. I'm typing in the correct passcode and everything and was on the phone with my airlink router company for 1 hour. They said that it is an internal settings issue that should be enabled.. something small. Something like (enable DHCP server or something under the registry as per the airlink tech). I use a gateway MT6730 laptop. Please someone help me. I'm bout 3 months out of the gateway warranty and I asked one computer shop and they know nothing about it. Voting Question: Internet connection trouble?

Hi, So basically, one day my laptop decided go slow, take 20 mins to turn on etc..The internet connection was at "limited connection" and it wouldn't connect to the printer. All this out of the blue. Our home uses BT (british) for internet by the way, and we have a wireless network router. The other laptop works fine, and that one is much older. Mine is less than a year old. If I don't fix it myself I'm taking it back to the shop :) Any tips to get it to normal connection? more

Well... I'm an asian british born and bought up, 13 year old girl. My parents are VERY over-protective. They speak English and work but they do not let me have similar lives of my friends (even the ones who are my nationality, culture and religion). I am not allowed out to town or shopping with my friends only to a party and there HAS to be an adult. I am not allowed on MSN or Face book or other social networking sites (but I still go on them as my computer is in my room and there is no other space for it). I am not allowed to date or wear the clothes that other girls wear. I am not allowed to wear makeup. Sometimes, this doesn't bother me though, its THIS what bothers me: My mother loves degrading me and verbally abusing me. 24/7 at home I get called names and threatened and I just hate it. My mum calls me names such as: b***h, c**t and other names in my language which mean wh**e, s**t and I just hate it. She never lets me have freedom. She keeps on saying why did God give me to her and why can't I die and various things like that. She also threatens to kill me, hit me etc. I just hate my life. I hope you don't think that I am a stubborn girl or anything, I just long for the life of my friends. People say for me to wait until I'm 16 but that's 3 years time. I've talked to my parents but they say that I'm not allowed out because I'm a s**t and that I'm going to do s**tty things but I'm not but they don't trust me and they don't let me stay home alone for more than an hour either. I had $0 credit Bought $5 credit from Telstra shop Went into a McDonalds Thought that I was connected to their FREE wi-fi so I surfed the net / used facebook etc.. on my iPhone Get a message a few minutes later saying "Your credit balance is below $1" So it ate my credit instead of using the wi-fi What I want to know is how to stop my iPhone from automatically connecting to the internet when I don't have a wi-fi connection. Each Facebook update costs me about 7cents and I don't know how to stop it. iPhone 3G, by the way. I still want to be able to use wi-fi when I'm at home though through my own network. Please help. I have this bag ok? It's full of my piercings, and I put it next to my speakers in my room, because I was going to Dad's and didnt need them. Went to Dad's for two weeks, came home, and they were gone, so I said, alright, must have left them at Dad's. Cracked the shits later, and said nonono, i am POSITIVE i left them right there. So I go to the shops on my own, to get a new septum because I didnt want it to close up, i come back home, go to my room, guess whats next to my speakers? It isn't possible that i missed it there, it is an open space, my speakers, on one whole shelf, now its back? not only was it there, but it was perfectly positioned, i never put any of my belongings perfectly placed, i just chuck them down, but this was all angular and exact. like | | instead of / /. if i had ANY REASON, anything at all, to make me think its not a fucking ghost, id hold onto that. but this time, there is no way i didnt overlook it, its a wide open space with nothing on it THEN i felt like a joint, so i go to my silver bag i brought to dads, and went into the pocket because i know i put it in there, so that mum wouldnt stumble across it. I search for my bob dylan cigarette tin, and theres nothing in my pocket, i turn my pocket inside out, there is nothing there, and its not like its a piercing ball, its a fucking smoke case. so i emptied EVERYTHING onto the floor, and nothing, I call up one of my bestfriends crying because ive searched the house for it, and i get very upset and frustrated when i lose something, because im mad at myself. so im sitting on the phone, sprawled on the floor, emptying my bag, searching again, nothing, inside out pockets, the lot. so she is evidence. we talk on the phone all night, i fall asleep talking, wake up, go to my bag, what the fuck do you think i find inside my pocket that i turned inside out? NOT POSSIBLE NOT POSSIBLE just fucking not i cant sleep in my room anymore i sleep on the couch watching cartoon network with the lamp Also, last year on the train, i was with my bestfriend, suddenly went depressed, thought I was going to die, and then i tried to speak and my voice suddenly went deeper and said "easy to tap into" while my head slightly jolted, my bestfriend instantly started crying when she saw the look in my eyes. Can you please help me with my iPod touch's Wi-Fi? Hi, so I have an extremely ANNOYING problem with my iPod touch (2nd gen. 16GB, 3.1.2 software). I am using my own personal Wi-Fi network to access Safari... but when I'm trying to use YouTube, this happens: I open up the YouTube app and search something or click on the other sections, it says - "Cannot connect to Youtube", when I want to download an app from the App Store, it won't download (the app will just show up on the home screen but it won't dowload), when I try to send an instant message using the Yahoo! Messenger app it won't send it and also, I can't download files from the e-mail (it will just say: "downloading" and nothing happens) and BUNCH of other annoying Wi-Fi problems. I don't know what to DO... I've read somewhere that's a problem with wireless firewall... I've tweaked EVERYTHING over and over at my router and my iPod's settings settings, I've forwarded ports, enabled all kind of stuff BUT nothing works! Also, I want to mention that my Wi-Fi router is connected to my PC trough the Internet and also my iPod touch is synced to my PC. P.S. : IT'S NOTHING WRONG WITH MY iPOD because I've tried using my neighbor's Wi-Fi network and the Wi-Fi from my local shopping center and everything works PERFECTLY, except the fact that the signal is kinda weak when using my neighbor's. I'm a n00b, so if you want to waste your time on helping me out, I'll be very thankful, I'll give you the best answer. ;) P.S. again: I WANT HIGHLY SKILLED PERSONS IN TERMS OF INTERNET AND PC TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS, A PERSON THAT KNOWS HOW TO GIVE ME A GOOD TUTORIAL!!! Resolved Question: Is this real or a scam?

I wanted to aplly for a job so I went to careerbuilder to look for customer service jobs and some of my results were work at home jobs. There was one that said like $120 a day for working for Dish Network and another that said $28/hr; it was called Lead Click Inc. There were more than just one job posting of those two. I even tried to apply and at some point they were asking for my credit card info like if it was Visa or Mastercard, the card number,date of expiration,etc. Some of those posting demanded a fee to get started. Before I even reattempt to apply, I want to know from anyone if this legit or fraud. It seem too good to be true. The same thing goes for mystery shopping. Are there any links or sources to REAL LEGIT online jobs or mystery shopping jobs that anyone can hook me to? more

I dropped out of school after failing my GSCE exams. I never revised for an exam because I just didn't care, parents were going through a divorce at the time and all this family trouble. I took a year off doing work and then I went to college, I did an intro to TV course so I could get a place on the HNC TV course (because I don't have qualifications) When I got on to my HNC I worked hard and I gained an unconditional to my HND course (present time) I'm the top student, I was the highest recommended A student to the Ministry of Defence and ended up becoming a project manager / director while doing a project with them. anyway, it's been solid work with the MOD and college since August, I try to one up myself on projects, I've done work with firearms in public places and had police support, I've got a lot of support from locations, I've managed to get Churchs, shops, ice rinks, bars, graveyards, etc. Where as other people use their homes or a friends house for filming. Last project was an advert where I hired out a massive church and directed about 20 actors (not friends, people that actually want to act for a living.. I managed to build a pretty big network of actors). I'm doing a sports documentary now and I managed to get access to film my cities professional hockey team. I like raising the bar of work but I hate the unsure feeling of diving in the deep end. Anyway, out of college I spent over £2,000 on it since October on camera equipment and I've done work in 3D, read a whole heap of film making books, done extensive colour artist work and visual FX.. I'm everyones go-to-guy for info, camera or VFX but I have this dread of filling in my UCAS form for Uni... Writing in my qualifications kills me because the only real ones that I have are from this year and last. (I'm not even sure what my qualifications from last year are because the SQA hasn't sent them out the results (they were supposed to do this months ago) I know I got an A for my graded unit though) My showreel's packed full of good videos some cultured, I've a big fan of Iranian cinema and the people protesting in Iran, (actually taking Farsi lessons lol) I've done videos on cultural things like that. I'm working on more. I mean my main worry is the Universities looking over my application and just think it's all bullshit because I have no good qualifications prior my course (my tutor tells me everyone just bullshits on their CVs and applications) Which kind of sucks because the mass amount of work I've put in isn't bullshit. I have completely changed since I was 16 and dropping out of school. Don't know what to put on the application though, my exam results from back then are like C's, D's and E's Do you know if the first thing they look at is your personal statement or the qualifications you have? Or do they read the reference first.. It's probably worth mentioning that my tutor hates me, so I donno how my reference will workout.. I refuse to kiss his ass, he's too egotistical and he tries to powerplay me ever since I elaborated on things he said during a class about directing actors (I read Judith Westons book on directing actors) I wasn't powerplaying him, I was just sharing info.. He's taken it the wrong way though and I constantly get singled out in class and he calls me a gimp and a twat lol It doesn't bother me too much, he can do what he wants.. Resolved Question: Can you please help me with my iPod touch's Wi-Fi?

Hi, so I have an extremely ANNOYING problem with my iPod touch (2nd gen. 16GB, 3.1.2 software, jailbroken). I am using my own personal Wi-Fi network to access Safari... but when I'm trying to use YouTube, this happens: I open up the YouTube app and search something or click on the other sections, it says - "Cannot connect to Youtube", when I want to download an app from the App Store, it won't download (the app will just show up on the home screen but it won't dowload), when I try to send an instant message using the Yahoo! Messenger app it won't send it and also I can't use Installous or download .doc/ .pdf files from the e-mail (it will just say: "downloading" and nothing happens). I was having the EXACT problems BEFORE jailbraking it. I don't know what to DO... I've read somewhere that's a problem with wireless firewall... I've tweaked EVERYTHING over and over at my router's settings, I even put a DHCP rule (my router is D-Link DL-524). P.S. : IT'S NOTHING WRONG WITH MY iPOD because I've tried using my neighbor's Wi-Fi network and the Wi-Fi from my local shopping center and everything works PERFECTLY, except the fact that the signal is kinda weak when using my neighbor's. I'm a n00b, so if you want to waste your time on helping me out, I'll be very thankful, I'll give you the best answer. ;)P. S. again: I have a very fast internet connection (PPPoE with optic fiber), I download stuff at 8MB/s and I have once reached 25MB/s trough DC++. Resolved Question: Why isn't my laptop finding WLAN network?

My laptop has been able to connect to the wireless internet. Suddenly, it stopped connecting my my home router. I thought that it was the router and called the company and they walked me through a lot of stuff that made it so that I could connect on a different computer, so I thought that the problem was fixed. Now, my laptop not only won't find my wireless router, it doesn't find any networks (I'm not trying to poach interenet, I just know that there are at least 8 other networks in my building and they don't shop up when I am searching for my network).BTW, I've restarted 3 times and turned off my wireless and restarted couple times as well, it hasn't done anything. It was working perfectly less than an hour ago. more

Voting Question: Can't Access CD ROM over network?

Hey all. Forgive me for being long winded, a little background information is required first. A rather unfortunate incident has occurred on my Toshiba laptop (A215-S5837). The laptop no longer recognizes my CD/DVD drive - Vista (Vista Home Premium) won't recognize it, and the BIOS won't recognize it, however it does open, and does spin. Because of this, I am not able to restore my computer, or install anything new on it (hence the need to restore). I have a network at home, and I thought about accessing my desktop (running XP)'s DVD drive remotely. I enabled sharing on the drive, but when I try to map the drive on my laptop, it recognizes it, but then gives me "Access Denied" when trying to read the DVD. I am able to access everything else on my desktop remotely (both hard drives), but none of the CD's. I also made sure the security settings for remotely accessing a cd drive under Local Settings (Administrative Options) were disabled. Any ideas? At the moment, I can't afford to bring my laptop into the repair shop, and the warranty is expired. I would think it's a hardware issue for the CD/DVD, however the computer has not been dropped or handled harshly and a few days ago, everything was working fine. My husband and I of 5 years never had the greatest marriage. I admit it was my mainly my fault. We had talked about divorce and separating many times and it got to the point where it was like there's no more working on it. In august, when we talked going our separate ways he talked about trying again. So in late Sept. beginning of October I started thinking he is a great man, we have alot of common interest and a great uncle, son in law and husband (when times are good). I decided to work things out however, i don't know when things changed and in the last two months he changed drastically. He became cold towards me, never around and always busy doing something who knows what. Little by little his behavior changed and as a woman you just know. He was always texting and getting up to answer phone. Or he was never home and next thing I know the phone bill under my name was at $2,000! That's when I knew. Thanksgiving night he didn't invite me to his family (nothing unusual since i always worked) but I was off that afternoon but still didn't invite me and came home at 2am and the next day woke up at 5:30am to go "shopping" and never came home. I was so heartbroken and confronted him on Sunday and he confessed he had met someone. He also had confessed doing weed and coke!! I know this man and he has always been so kindhearted and so family oriented. Father walked out of his life for another woman and brother died due to drugs as well. So how could this be the same person?!? I decided that I just couldnt let him go without telling him how I felt. I wrote him letters, emails but nothing. I broke down and had to reach out to his sister for advice and a week later on Friday she said she had talked to him and he was "confused" but seemed sorry for the pain he was causing me. I hadnt been eating, or sleeping. That same night, I had reached out to his close friends who are engaged. She told me dont worry we will talk to him and he is on his way here now but it wasnt true. He had told me the same thing but instead went to see that girl after he had promised me not to. I got a phone call within half hour after he left from a different number and him saying "hey, i gotta talk to you" and then telling me "i lied to you, you know that right? i came to see her" my heart broke. How could he be so cold hearted to do that. He hung up and then the phone rang again from the same number, this time it was her. She called to ask me if we were working things out and i said yes and she proceeded to tell me "you know i'm f-ing him, right?" how could anyone be soooo coldhearted! I packed his stuff that same night and when he came to pick up his stuff that morning at 6:20am he has to hold the phone for her to hear everything that was going on.. Its only been 3 days and I find out more and more. I found out they work together and I thought that maybe once he left, he would reflect and realize the damage he had done. But how can he if she is still there in his life? His family and friends tell me they are concerned for him because he keeps crying saying he let everyone down. He says I hate him...when honestly I dont but I am so deeply hurt! But what hurts me more is how can you really be sorry if she is still in your life? How could someone throw 5 years away for someone new? He must really love her! And I looked at her network account and her status says married and she has pictures of her and this man saying "my husband and i" and she wears a wedding band. How could my husband leave me for someone like that and how could he not care for me one bit? I just wish I knew how to deal with this. Do you think he really loves her or do you think its the drugs? im 15 years old my parents divorced around late 2007. We had a very happy life until that year when my parents announced the divorce. it didnt affect affect me and my 5 1/2 year old brother who is now 6 because my mom still lived with us in our appartment and my dad just simply moved into his own appartment. i saw each of them throughout the week. it didnt affect me all up through that year. we celebrated our last christmas together which i wasn't aware of. we had happy holidays all the way through summer. at the end of summer my mother announced she was moving out. i would go with my mom and brother to her new boyfriend's house to live there. it was all too soon. i didnt want to leave my home town and family here they were going to move up state. i descided to stay with my father and my brother and mother left. i see my brother for about 1 1/2 days every weekend and mother 1 1/2 days every other weekend. What really upsets me is our open appartment most of our furnuture is gone. the christmas tree we had no longer is with us and the room is empty still today. just blank room. my brothers room is now my dad's room no longer filled with my little brothers toys. you have to realise that even though we didnt have much in our little appartment, we were filled with alot of warmth and love. my brother always had his tv playing his cute little movies. they are all gone and trashed. i came across some toys i had as a child that was among the toys in my brother's old room. memories started to fly through my head. i came across his teddy bear he made when he was about 4 with me at a build a bear work shop years ago. he loved it soo much. i was supprised he left it with me. I sat there and broke in to tears for a while. i found some of his toys. I dont understand why i cry about this once or twice a week. it happens all the time. my brother isnt affected by it alot he lives with my mom and step dad now who was my mom's boyfriend he is nice. i live with my dad and my dad's girlfriend moved out because of fighting with dad. i didnt like her. Voting Question: Which connection should be straight or twisted wire = internet modem (-to-) wall jack (-to-) router (-to) wall?

I am doing home networking with Ethernet wire using a router. I have used a twisted standard wire from shop (comes with connectors) to connect modem to the wall jack. Wire at the other end from the wall jack does not have a connector. Now I fixed a connector at this end and plugged it to the router. From the router one shop made wire (with connectors) is connected to a lap top. Internet is working at this stage. Another wire does not have a connector at this end and the other end is connected at a wall jack in different room. I connected a connector at this end of the wire and plugged into the router. But the Internet is NOT working at the other end of this connection. May be there is trick of using twisted or straight connection? Can someone help/advise to resolve this network? more

Resolved Question: Where do you get good deals on unlocked cell phones in New York?

I am based in the UK, and I always hear that over in the US, you get good deals on most electronics. A friend of mine is going over to NY, and could have a look to get me a cell phone. I would like to do some research and guide her. I checked that Best Buy and Walmart do sell unlocked phones, the latter seem to offer better deals (at least online not sure whether in store one can get the same). Now it seems also that there are three types of mobile phones, - on contract at&t, Mobile etc. - having a local us address is a must to get one, I have heard that one can pay some cancellation charges and get rid of the contract but anyway, it seems too much trouble, although the deals seem pretty good (if i neglect the fact that with the cancellation charges, it might be quite expensive) - prepaid - unlike in the uk, where it seems to me that you could get virtually any phone as a prepaid or (PAY as you Go) bundle, in the usa, prepaid offers look quite modest phones, can't find the phones that I look for on pre-paid. Of course they need unlocking first if I am to use them on a different network. - unlocked - hmm - this seems that it is the one to go for in my case. Resolved Question: Wireless Adapter Not Functioning?

Hi, i recently took my laptop into repair on warrenty because of the integrated wireless adapter was disconnecting randomly and i had to disable and enable the adapter to connect again and webcam colours were mucked up. After 6 weeks of waiting i went in to collect it and they said they couldn't repair the webcam because it was accidental damage and it isnt covorured, and then they said they did a diognostics on the wireless adapter and they said it was functioning normaly. I was annoyed because i told them that it only does it when its in a curten position etc. so they said we would have to pay to replace the items with a fee. So can anyone else help? Info: Laptop: ADVENT O/S:Windows Vista NetworkCard:Reltek Webcam:USB2.0 Shop Repaired:Currys Digital When i got home i was on the internet for about 6 hours without it disconnecting then it started to disconnect again but not as much. I noticed it wasnt doing it as much and i also notice that they replaced a few missing screws at the bottem of the laptop. I know its not software related. The shop tried everything to fix it software wise. Does anybody know anything? I dont really want an external network adapter, but i do have one incase im downloading something important. Resolved Question: How much can my work IT person see on my network?

My ex is sending me dirty e-mails hoping I'll mistake and open them at work. He also sends threatening messages to my Facebook and MySpace inboxes. He is an excellent hack and even managed break into my MySpace account 2 years ago and change all my pics to ones of the guy I was trying to date, saying horrible things about him in the captions. I block him only for him to come back as a different user. Of course, now I have given up and deactivated both accounts. Some of these messages include very personal information, including admitting in not so many words that he did in fact rape me. I work at a very small, close-knit private school and am trying to move on from my past. I would die if someone thought I was looking at porn (which is what is in the dirty e-mails) or sometimes videos show up on my history ??? ( How does he do this???) or they saw these messages. The IT guy is so nice. I'm afraid someday out of curiousity he will examine my personal laptop that is on the school network as well as my home network, which is unsecure. OK, I admit I shop on Victoria's Secret website and occasionally like to look at Frederick's! Resolved Question: Does this sound like a competent notebook (laptop)?

For Christmas my mom said she was going to spend $400 on me, alone. So she said I could use that however I liked. Well, I saw a laptop for $319.99 marked down from $479.99. Right off the bat I was a bit wary cause I know not to cut corners when shopping for things like this. It's all about what it does for you. It's a MSi Notebook Computer with Intel Celeron Processor 13000 It has 15.6" screen which is a nice size screen, 3GB memory, 250 GB Hard Drive. (I would use it for the Sims 3, my internet uses, and maybe a few pics and files here and there. I also have flash drives though that I put my more important documents on). It has 3 hours of battery life but I am simply a student so wouldn't be using it for long trips or business meetings or anything. Windows 7 which I hear is new, so I have never had that. nVidia, GeForce 8200M-G graphics, Wireless-N networking (I am WiFi enabled at my home from a wireless router via AT&T U-Verse) and has an HDMI port and Webcam. Am I catching a really good deal here or is it all too good to be true? I understand a bit of computer talk and am the bigger tech geek in my family, but when it comes to laptops I have never had one so I'm out in the dust. more

This is long, but I hope detailed enough to provide a glimpse of the torment I am in. The story starts 10 years ago, almost to the day. I was married and living with my wife and son, who was 4 y.o. at the time. For reasons I did not understand (she later said it was post-partum..?), my wife became violent. The violence escalated quickly and changed from yelling and throwing things at the wall to throwing things at *me* and hitting me very aggresively (she is not a "pussycat"..). One time, she threw something very hard and heavy at me and missed, but instead it headed straight towards my son's head. Luckily, he ducked. She was already on anti-depressants at this stage and seeing a professional, but in her own words she "hated me and I just made her angry". I never hurt her or yelled and never to this day understood why she turned into this "Hyde" after our son was born. I tried for almost another year to be supportive and to just survive, but her aggression never stopped and I feared for both my life and my son's life. I could see that he was starting to sense the constant anger from her when I was around his mom and I didn't know what else to do. She said she hated me being there so I did the only thing I knew I could do: I left her. I was never an absent father, though. Even for the few months I was living in another country (Canada vs. USA), I flew him down to visit me for 10 days. Then when I realized I needed to be closer to him, I left behind a dream-job to move where he lived with his mom and took a typical crap-job just so I could get by, but be able to see him on weekends. I lived there for several years, working my way up a chain of command at the new job and eventually met someone who became my new wife. I always kept his needs at the top, though. I wanted so badly to show him a positive, loving relationship.. what two people are *supposed* to be like. My new wife and I had him over very regularly and saw him often. We took him on trips and nice vacations and he seemed to be very happy and well-adjusted to his lifestyle. I often talked to him about his life and that it wasn't "like all the other kids", but he even admitted that he wasn't the only child of a broken-marriage and that it was fun to have two homes. My wife and I always made sure that our home was his. He had his own bedroom at our house and his own clothes and personal belongings. When he needed something, he got it. When he wanted to do something, we did it. He was always the focus of our attention. A time came for us to branch out after being in the small Canadian town to someplace where we could start building a proper life for ourselves, always telling my son that he was included in the life we were trying to build. We found a place where we could purchase an affordable home in a good area where we could both get good positions in our field (small Canadian towns are not great for I.T. professionals..). After being in my son's home town and seeing him regularly for five years (we even took him to the town we were moving to several times so he could see the benefits), I left. He was 10 y.o. at the time. For the next two years, we visited him regularly (at least 2-3 times a year) and had him visit on summer and Christmas breaks. This was the best we could do, as where we settled was in the US and on the opposite coast (my wife's home town where we both had a support network). During our visits to him and his visits to us and for the great vacations we took him on, he seemed to be very happy with us. My wife and I always did everything we could to make sure he was a part of our life and was included in everything we did. We took him car shopping and house shopping and told him that he would always be welcome in our home and would always have a room. On his last trip to us, when he was 12 y.o., he told me that he wanted to move to us, permanently, to live and go to school. Since everything I'd done since I left his mom was to try and give him a good home, I was ecstatic! A year later, he came to the US with the intent of staying (it took time to make it happen with his mom and the school system so he went back to Canada for the current school year). While he was here with us, he had his own room and his own space (more than he ever had in his mom's house) and we did everything we could to provide for him and support him. I often talked to him, just he and I, and asked if he was happy and if there was anything else I could do to improve things. He always said that things were great and he was happy. I work for a law firm and we have a pro bono (free) client. She is very old and NOT of sound mind. We are her legal guardians. Federal prosecutors believe Albert Gonzales stole more than 130 million credit card data information making Albert the largest identity scammer. Hacker main target to steal information from are major retail stores and banks. When a scammer steals a person’s personal information the only thing the thief can do is steal his money from a credit card or a bank account. Most identification scammers get caught is when they try to open a credit or a bank account, write bad checks or take out a loan from a bank, but living the victim with countless charges and years of bad credit on record. Identity scammers in United States have increased by 22% in 2008 from 2007. In 2008 nearly 10 million American’s identity was stolen. Identity theft can happen to anyone, and don’t realize until you spend your next dollar and your credit card declines. To protect your personal information online as well as at home you need to purchase a shredder to shred all documents with personal information before throwing them away. Don’t send mail using your unsecured mailbox. Have your social security number changed if it is the same as your driver’s license number. Have a secured internet network Last but not least, have a confined place to keep your important and person information. Although the work for scammer is hard, but only little information is needed such as your birth date, credit card numbers and social security number for a person to lose his identity information. Important thing that an online shopper can do is limit shopping online or never buy from unknown sites. Always shred all mails before throwing it away and make sure to check your credit report at least one time in year.
