Bmw Satellite Radio Questions asked

Resolved Question: How do I pick the right car for me?

My decision-making skills need some assistance. I have a choice between a 2001 Nissan Xterra, a 2003 Toyota Corolla, a 2002 Jaguar S-Type, and now a 2003 Saturn Vue. I like all of them and I'm finding it difficult to settle on one. The Jaguar is nice and has the new "Projector/Angle Eyes" headlights as well as a touch screen dvd/mp3/satellite radio setup, and a moonroof. I love moonroofs. The Corolla and the Xterra do not have moonroofs (or sunroofs, as some call it) and therefore have taken a backseat to the Saturn Vue and the S-Type which both have the feature. After making up my mind I'm sure I will drive the chosen vehicle with pride and not care about what I *should* have gone with and so on, but while driving around with my dad today my eyes were all over the road imagining what it would be like to drive everyone else's nice ride. What should I do? There are other cars I can go with as well, such as Audi's, BMW's, and other decent "whips". more

Resolved Question: Bought satellite radio option with BMW and now told not available...legal options?

I bought a 2006 BMW 530i in May 2009. It was a certified BMW, which meant it had a extended warranty already figured into the price. I bought the car with the intentions of installing the satellite radio option that was already packaged into the price of the vehicle. I was told in financing that there was a problem with the equipment that BMW used for the satellite radio and it would be around 4 months before they could install the radio. I understood that and got a "I owe you" paperwork for when it came in. The amount was still figure within my loan. A couple of weeks later, I asked to refund me the $995.00 for the satellite radio and I would buy it out right when it became available. The dealership said no problem. With many complaints and problems it took 9 months for me to get the money. During this time, I was told the the satellite radio wasn't available for this model anymore. The whole reason I agreed to this car was because of this option availability. I ended up trading my car in for another vehicle. Do I have any legal options with BMW????? The only thing I want is the refund form my extended maintenance package that I bought ( never used) . BMW is telling me that they don't refund the amount. more

Resolved Question: HELP WITH CAR LEASE?!?!?

My local BMW dealer has a lease special for a 2009 BMW 328xi Coupe with Premium, Cold Weather Package, Navigation, HD Radio, Satellite Radio, and Comfort Access System (MSRP $48,000). Their advertisement has it for $359/month for 36mo. and 10k miles with a $4,995 capitalize cost reduction (down payment). The salesman said that to get it for that price my total cash due at signing would be around $9,500! In other words, taxes and other fees (bank acquisition fee, registration fees, title fees, etc.. would amount to nearly half the capitalize cost reduction which I find surprising! Yes it's a BMW but it's a 3 series which is their most popular model and relatively cheaper than their other lines so unless they do not manufacture many, this should not warrant such a high cash due at signing. Does $9,500 for total cash due at signing sound like a ripoff? If so, what's a good way to bargain down the cash due at signing to no more than $5,000 and no more than $500/month (if these numbers are even possible). Also, does anyone know what might be a reasonable cash due at signing and monthly for 36 months and 12,000 miles? Thanks more

Resolved Question: Considering a Porsche...?

I have a 2006 BMW X5 4.4i and as much as I adore it, it's a little too big and I think I'm going to trade it in for a Cayenne S. I test drove a regular Cayenne a few months ago and it was really phenomenal and I'm told the S is even better, but I really love BMW's and the way they drive, so should I just get the newer X5 since it's slightly smaller and more aerodynamic, go for the X3 since it's way smaller or just get the Cayenne S? Here's what options I have on the X5 and am planning to get on the Cayenne S if it helps: On the X5 I have: Black metallic paint Beige leather interior Navigation and satellite radio Cold weather package Back seat entertainment system Xenons Adaptive lighting What I'm planning to get on the Cayenne S: White exterior Black Alcantara leather ($2500) Front sport seats with memory Sport design package Cold weather design package Navigation and satellite radio So what do you think? If I got the newer X5 or X3 I would get the same options as I had in the old BMW. I'm really interested to hear your opinions! more

Resolved Question: Urgent 10 points best answer...1996 318i Radio Install Question?

I have a 196 bmw 318i and a radio was installed when I purchased it. Everything was fine, I think my dad pulled it out and I tried plugging everything back in. The only two things I knew to do was the wiring harness and the antenna. When I turned the radio on I heard nothing I made sure the antenna was correctly connected. I noticed there was another plug attached to the antenna plug. It is smaller and it looks like a connection to a satellite radio (satellite input) Kind of like the one in the image. I could not find anywhere to connect it, I am more than sure this is the problem, but if not anyone have any idea what it could be? Or where I can connect this "sat input looking" cable? more

Resolved Question: I'm thinking about buying a Honda Goldwing and have a few questions.?

I just sold my Yamaha Roadstar. I loved the bike but it didn't meet my cycling needs. 99% of my riding is on the interstate at high speeds, and at night or early morning. My commute to work is an hour each way on the interstate so I want to be as comfortable as possible with extras like a radio(possibly satellite) and as much wind protection as possible. Is the Goldwing my best bet for comfort for year round riding, or should I consider a BMW or possibly a Harley? more
