Is Sirius or XM satellite radio better for sports fans? Since the two are merged, they each have plans including "the best of" the other provider (XM has "the best of Sirius", Sirius has "the best of XM". Which deal is better for sports fans? When I say sports fan, I mean a fan of the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, and college sports. Not any weird stuff like equestrian. more

My father is a sports fanatic (especially college football) and we are thinking of getting him a system for Christmas. I know that there is a monthly subscription, but is it possible to subscribe to a sports package only? Does anybody know if the sports channels are good? Are there providers other than Sirius? Resolved Question: How to get set up for Satellite Radio?

HI I am not very knowledgable when it comes to computers and technology so I am hoping I can get some basic info about obtaining satellite radio? I know there are two providers XM and Sirius and you need to have a digital radio. Do I just go to an electronics store and ask for a digital radio? I want something I can leave on my kitchen counter (or something similar)? Should I ask for any particular features? Then I take it I go on line to one of the providers and sign up monthly or yearly and then.....what comes next? do I have to install anything - do I have to have "someone" come to my home and install this thing? Sorry for asking what are probably really basic/obvious questions but I want to make sure I know something before I try and purchase all of this "stuff". thanks for any advice/help more

I want to subscribe to satellite radio for my car. Which provider should I go with? I don't really care about sports coverage, or any other "niche" programming. All I want is to have commercial free, DJ free music. I've checked out both program guides, and the music selection is very similar. Pricing also seems to be similar. Is one really better than the other? Does anyone have testimonials or horror stories that they would like to share that can help me make a more sound decision? more
