I am so confused, it's ridiculous! I have never been very good at math, but I'm trying. I just need help with these two problems. 1. A communications satellite sends signals to receiving towers A and B. It is determined from radio signals that the angle of elevation of the satellite from tower A is 81.8° and the angle of elevation from tower B is 83.6°. If A and B are 1164 km apart, how far is the satellite from tower B? (Ignore the curvature of the earth, and assume the satellite is located between the two towers.) Express your answer to the nearest kilometre. 2. The angle of elevation to the top of a tree from a point on the ground that is level with the bottom of the tree is 48.0°. From a point 19 m further from the first location that is in line with the base of the tree, the angle of elevation to the top of the tree is 28.8°. Determine the distance from the base of the tree to the first location. Round your answer to two decimal places. moreOpen Question: Four triangle questions I need some help with? I'm not being mean or anything, Ireland is a great little country and I visit nearly every year. I used to occasionally listen to Rush when I worked with my father, as he liked him. Now these were the Clinton years, so he was constantly criticizing Clinton. That's to be expected. I rarely have listened for more than a couple minutes the past few years, but today I was driving a long distance and my satellite radio wasn't picking up what I wanted well, so I listened to Rush. We now have a black president, although he is the absolute worst president the USA has ever had he is still black. Gays somehow think that everyone likes them now for some reason. I have no idea where they got this idea because if I ever get the chance to kill a gay and get away with it I would. Metallica has sold out 5 years ago and rap and hip are popular now. The only good cd to come out this year is Slayer's World Painted Blood. I am so sick of top 40 music that I have subscribed to satellite radio so I no longer have to hear rap on the free radio. The earth is really pissed off at the human race and causing many natural disasters that are killing mainly poor black people so I find this very funny. I am going to stay neutral and you decide. Here are the two sides to the story.First is Kongs story. Wrestler Accuses 'Love Sponge' of Hate Call By KARINA BROWN (CN) - Pro wrestler Awesome Kong claims a radio host called her in the middle of the night from a blocked number and threatened to "'sucker punch' her until she stopped breathing," adding, "You'll be dead like all those other niggers in Haiti you fat black bitch!" Kong, whose real name is Kia Stevens, says AT&T refuses to identity the caller, who she believes is Todd Clem, aka Bubba the Love Sponge. Stevens, who works for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, says she got into a backstage spat with Clem, a Total Nonstop contracted interviewer and radio host known as Bubba the Love Sponge, after Clem disparaged efforts to raise money for victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Stevens claims Clem called her at her Tampa home from a blocked number at 5 a.m. on Feb. 10. She says the caller said, "'This is Bubba the Love Sponge here at (and at this point the caller named a radio station' and then alluded to the fact that the call was being broadcast on the radio. "The caller then started talking in a stream, threatening to come to the petitioner's house and 'sucker punch' her until she stopped breathing and then said, 'You'll be dead like all those other niggers in Haiti you fat black bitch ... Fuck Haiti!" Stevens claims that when she did not respond, "the male who had identified himself as 'Bubba the Love Sponge' stated 'What d'ya think about that, Monkey Kong?' ... 'What? Those big fat Jimmy Walker lips ain't talking shit now, huh?'" Stevens says she recognized Clem's voice, having heard his radio show. According to media reports, Clem claimed on his show that Stevens had approached him backstage after a Jan. 18 wrestling match and "sucker-punched" him in the face several times while yelling "This is for Haiti!" Kong reportedly served a two-day suspension for the altercation. Stevens sued Clem and AT&T, demanding that the phone company release records that would identity the caller. She is represented in Hillsborough County Court by Chris Mancini of Fort Lauderdale. This is Bubba the LoveSponge reaction and rebutile. Elise Brown sent along the following: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2010 The following statement is from syndicated and satellite radio host Bubba the Love Sponge®: "This morning I was made aware of allegations made in a petition for full bill of discovery by Ms. Kia Stevens, a professional wrestler with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. The allegations in this petition are one hundred percent false. To be clear; everything contained in this petition is not true. Ms. Stevens attributing outrageous racist statements and physical threats to me is disgusting." "We can prove without any doubt the allegations made in this petition are false. First Ms. Stevens claims that she was called on the air, at 5:08 AM on February 10th, we are not even on the air until 6 AM Eastern time. We have phone records and eye witnesses that account for my every movement that day from 4:50 AM forward. No call was made to Ms. Stevens at all." Or hide some magazines and put The Qur’an where they had been? Would you still watch those movies, Or your T.V. set? Or would you switch it off, Before he gets upset. Would you turn off the radio, And hope he had not heard? And wish that you did not utter your last loud hasty word? Would you hide your worldly music, And instead take out Hadith books? Could you let him walk right in, Or would you rush about? And I wonder...if the Prophet (saw) spent, a day or two with you, Would you go on doing the things you always do? Alright, here's the back story. I'm 20 years old, highly successful, 3.8 in college, lined up co-ops and internships, in charge of 80 people building a satellite, anticipating graduating with a 80,000+ a year starting salary. I have a girlfriend, friends, easy life, play video games, play with her dog and hamster, dance, sing in a band, dj a radio show, and do everything I can think of that would make me happy and it does. Temporarily. The only times I truly feel happy are when I'm beating somebody at something, using somebody, lieing, stealing, manipulating, etc. I hate everyone, even those close to me...even myself. I hate everything that I do and that exists because I hate existence. It leaves me constantly bitter, angry, and hollow. I hide it by constantly feeding the upbeat, peppy, social side of me and using it as a face but behind it is a mask of constant rage. It's not depression or any mental illness, I've been seeing psychologists/counselors since I was 5. The best solution they can give me is to exercise more, eat healthier (I eat extremely healthy), focus more on my relationships, and to not be over involved (I play video games as stress relief 3 hours a day and have sex for at least 2 with whoever is around at the time). None of that has ever helped me. And so I ask the internet, how can you enjoy life when everyone and everything is trivial, stupid, meaningless, boring, ugly, and wasteful and when it's so much easier and more satisfying to hate? I've heard enjoying life is nice...I would like to give it a try.In response to the "other people have nothing" argument: You get what you take. If you have nothing you deserve nothing. Wealth and success are relative, and relative to my fellow American I am successful. In any case, why would I care what somebody else has or doesn't have. That has no bearing on me whatsoever other than as a comparison to show that I am better than them. moreResolved Question: installing a new stereo to my mitsubishi diamante?

OR WATHCHING CAMBODIA T V. The Vietnamese authority has banned Khmer Krom from listening to Khmer radio or watching Khmer TVs broadcasting from Cambodia, reports Radio Free Asia. Mr. Thach Setha (pictured), president of Khmer Kampuchea Krom Association in Cambodia, said the Vietnamese authority has issued written bans to all Khmer Krom from listening to Khmer radio or watching Khmer TVs. "Now we have another serious issue in Kampuchea Krom and that is they (Vietnamese authority) ban Khmer Krom from watching TVs and listening to radio broadcasting from Cambodia and if they continue to ignore the ban and continue watching or listening, they will be fined 10 million dongs ($850). And there is another directive from the (Vietnamese) Prime Minister which bans us (Khmer Krom) completely from listening (radio and watching TVs)", he said. A Khmer Krom from Tay Ninh (Preah Tropeang) province who spoke on condition of anonymity, said currently the Vietnamese authority strictly ban all Khmer Krom from listening to Khmer radio or watching Khmer TVs. He said the bans are strictly enforced by the deployments of secret police during the day and night time to spy on them. Mr. Thach Setha said the bans by the Vietnamese authority come at a time when there are news that 9 Khmer Krom associations in Cambodia had requested for air time from Cambodian National Radio to broadcast about events, history, culture and educational programs and news related to Khmer Krom and Kampuchea Krom. He said the bans are particularly enforced in all Khmer Buddhist temples in Kampuchea Krom where the Vietnamese authority has gone to all temples to forbid Khmer monks from listening to Khmer radio and watching Khmer TVs. "Recently, there are summons (by the Vietnamese authority) issued to Khmer monks and Khmer Krom people who have installed satellite disc to watch Khmer TVs. They summoned them to tell them not to watch Khmer TVs any more. The Vietnamese authority forced them to sign a letter promising not to listen to Khmer radio and Khmer TVs. They really strictly enforce the bans. These people (Vietnamese authority) really mean business!", he said. The Vietnamese embassy in Phnom Penh cannot be reached for comments. However, NGOs and cilvil society in Cambodia said the Vietnamese bans are racist and are contrary to the Cambodian authority who allow all Vietnamese immigrants living in Cambodia to listen to Vietnamese radio or watch Vietnamese TVs freely without any restrictions. According to Mr. Thach Setha, currently, there are approximately 10 million Khmer Krom people living in the former Cambodian territories in southern Vietnam. Gamma and X-Rays In addition to emitting energy in the forms of visible light, IR, and UV, the sun also emits higher energy gamma rays and x-rays and lower energy microwaves and radio waves. Gamma rays, x-rays, and a good deal of ultraviolet radiation are screened out in the Earth's stratosphere. As you move across the spectrum from gamma to radio waves, you encounter photons with decreasing energy content. Microwaves and Radio Waves Microwaves and radio waves have lower energy content than the rest of the electromagnetic spectrum. Like the other components of the spectrum, we have learned to make use of their unique properties in our everyday lives. Scientists have launched many satellites in order to study the sun. One of these satellites, the Earth Radiation Budget Satellite (ERBS), was launched by NASA to measure the amount of energy transferred from the sun to the Earth. In a balanced system, the amount of electromagnetic energy striking our planet equals the amount released back into space. These satellites are helping us to verify these amounts over a long-term study. These data are compiled into a radiation budget that conforms to the Conservation of Energy which we will learn more about in the next Mission. You may be familiar with microwaves because many homes use this form of energy to cook or heat food. Radio waves have the lowest energy content of all the types of electromagnetic energy. This part of the electromagnetic spectrum is very useful in long distance communications. Radio stations use the properties of radio waves to broadcast signals spanning large distances at certain energy levels. Your radio can "tune" into these frequencies so you can listen to your favorite songs. Here on Earth, astronomers can use radio telescopes to explore space because most radio waves are able to penetrate Earth's atmosphere. Using radio waves, astronomers are able to observe objects in deep space they could not see with a normal optical telescope. moreVoting Question: I am looking for a song that is from the 90´s with the words "flying rockets in the sky"?
When I was little I listened a lot to the radio. This song has been in the back of my mind for some time now the only thing i remember is some lyrics such as " flying rockets in the sky" and there's also the word "satellites" I also remember watching the video and there was a blond man he had his hair to his shoulders singing,. The song is very soft pop, i think you could say that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since it´s been bugging me for such a long time! moreVoting Question: Why does my Sirius Satellite radio works with no subscription?
I have a Starmate 1 that I suspended service on in 2004 and know for certain that the subscription was canceled. I broke the antennae on my car and chose to just install the Sat Radio because I've gotten tired of all the commercials on radio. Anyway, put it in the car to test it out before I called and had the service reactivated and it worked, all the channels, perfectly. Does anyone know why this is? Did I just get lucky? moreResolved Question: Am I the only one who thinks that?
The new music only channels on DirecTV are not as good has the Sirius/XM satellite radio? I mean when they had satellite radio they played good music and not only did they play good music but they played UNCENSORED music. Especially the Rock and Metal channels. Unlike now with the new channels they got where they play the same music but almost all of it is censored. Which really sucks!!I guess what I'm trying to ask is DirecTV going to bring back the Sirius/XM satellite radio to the music only channels. The channels in the 800's because the new music stations only played censored music. moreResolved Question: Hummmmm what shall we buy.?

NOT A HYBRID Thanks yes we are picky but we have been saving a very long time and waited until insurance wouldn't drowned us, so we feel like we have earned the car we want, and don't want to settle.we have 15k saved we have been approved for 30k, we intend on putting 10 down on a vehicle then the other 5 on insurance. Sorry if I misslead, no we dont expect to get what we want for only 15 k, thats silly. moreResolved Question: Do you think we are happy?

Well, I thought about getting one, and then decided against it. I am still going to stick with the good 'ole AM radio for oldies But just out of curiosity, does Satellite radio work in city's where you are surrounded by large buildings? I woldent think so... moreResolved Question: Does Satellite radio play more diversity and is it expensive?
I'm new in a sense to the new type of radio service. I was wondering on: * Where one can buy a satellite radio? * How much does it cost and is it a continued service fee? * Does it play variety of songs? Or, like the standard over the air radio that plays hip-hop mostly all day long? * Can certain stations be omitted/ added to ones taste?Cool I was able to find: http://www.sirius.com. Please note: I'm not advertising them, or know them, just I'm thinking of trying them if financially possible. I'll need to get much more info on satellite radio; since it seems in my opinion to be the only source to get variety of songs that catches my music craving soul. The over the air radio for me does not cut it anymore. Music should inspire one and reinvigorate one but the music the radio is playing to me is making me feel like I'm sitting in a dumpster. I'm a number of course, just thought to get this out while asking the initial question and finding something on my own. moreTop Satellite And Radio Links
